When I inquired about the significant price discrepancy, the employee offered two questionable and misleading explanations that felt like a deliberate bait-and-switch tactic: False Service Distinction: I was told that the foot massage I requested was somehow "different" from the one advertised at the lower rate, despite the service description being vague and matching general expectations. False Redemption Rules: I was then falsely told that the Groupon rate was not available for "walk-ins" and that I would have to schedule an appointment at least two weeks in advance. Based on prior experience using similar services, this is a clear fabrication intended to force customers into paying the much higher, non-discounted rate. I felt pressured and misled into the transaction, ultimately paying an inflated price. An honest business does not employ intentional dishonesty regarding simple walk-in pricing and appointment rules. While the massage itself was performed, the overall experience was completely ruined by the frustration and sense of being financially exploited. I was early, like I always am, but they were ready for me anyway- yay! I was greeted as I walked in and presented with a chart to highlight any specific areas I wanted my masseuse to address. The gentleman that checked me in obviously noticed I went right for the neck before I circled a few other areas. When Becky walked in to begin she said something like, "we're going to focus on neck relief" so I knew I was going to be in good hands, literally. I had a lot of knots and twisty muscles but she basically ironed out over a year of stress and bad posture in this first visit. I can't wait to go back.
