I came here on a Wednesday to get acrylics done for graduation. Walking inside, I was immediately impressed. This salon is brand new, with nice lighting fixtures, fresh paint and furniture. I was tended to immediately. The nail tech did a fabulous job with my nails and he was kinda funny too! The only reason I deduct one star is because I feel as if they were just a bit pushy for my taste with upgrades (gel, nail powder, etc.). But my nails look absolutely beautiful. I was very excited to try this place since it is not even half a mile away from my school. I, also, was very pleased by the pictures in the reviews. I usually get my nails down back home, but I figured why not. The price was cheap, the place was very quiet, so there wasn't any wait at all to get my nails done. I got a seemingly nice person, was a male, to do my nails. However, I want to comment that, the outcome was not good, at all. While the man was working on my nails, he stopped to make a phone call and just talked through his Bluetooth. I've never seen this happen anywhere else, but I figured, this shouldn't be a big deal. Sure enough, the hand he worked on while making his phone call, the skin around the nails were destroyed and bloody. I went home with sore hands, once again, has never happened anywhere. I was not going to write this review because I figured my nails being cracked was my fault for not moisturizing beforehand. Today, however, I noticed inflammation on my thumb, directly on one of the cuts, indicating an infection. I have never had a nail infection in my entire life, so it was very disheartening to get my first nail infection from trying something new. This was definitely my fault for not saying something before about the phone, but I don't deserve to care for an entire hand of damaged finger nails. I'll just continue to do aftercare on my manicure to prevent any more nail infections :( I got nexgen, no tip or anything. I'll add pictures to my review. I won't deny this place may be a decent nail spot, but I don't think I'll come back. This is probably what I deserve for cheating on my nail tech‍ read more

I was extremely happy. I made and appointment today and was so happy they were open because most of the shops on my street were still closed because of the virus. I got my feet done first. I felt so bad because I know they were busy all day and the little lady who did my feet her hands were really hurting and she still kept going. I was telling her take your time. You don't have to rush. Pump your hands. I was more worried about her than my feet. Let me just say the hurting hands and all she did my feet better than most people without the pain. I appreciate her . Now the lady who did my nail dip was the sweetest person ever. She had good conversation and just made me feel comfortable. She didn't rush. She took her time and I must say this was the first time I had my real nails dipped and because of how good she did them I will always return to this shop. That you ladies. I moved to Denton for school and recently I've been looking for the perfect nail salon to go to while I am here. First, the location is perfect and close to my school and the prices are great and they even give student discounts! The lady who did my nails was so nice and very professional and even offered me a drink while she was doing my nails. The wait was not long at all, especially for a Saturday I came in, I asked for what I wanted and within minutes I was seated and they began to work on my nails. I used to constantly get my nails done here until last month. I wanted a coffin shaped set and they kept messing up. The guy literally didn't know how to do nails, I asked him nicely to fix the extremely crooked nails. He gets an attitude and goes out of his way to not fix it. I kept asking him to take the nail off and reapply it. He does, after sighing and getting an attitude. The next nail he puts on was even more crooked. Another lady had to finish my nails because he wasn't competent. My pedicure was done by a woman who didn't even TRIM my toenails and then proceeded to get an attitude when I asked if she had cut them. I had to tell both techs how to do their job and they were talking about me and getting an attitude because they're literally incompetent and shouldn't even have a license. It was the first time I didn't tip my nail techs. I have rewards from how often I used to go but they consistently gave me crooked nails, attitude, and just a bad experience. I went into allure for a full set and will never be back... I decided to get a sparkly color which I had gotten before and everything was fine until my nail technician started drilling and he forgot to put the activator on them and my nail started crumbling and I guess he didn't realize that he forgot that and he kept filing and chunks ofmy nail were falling off of and he just hoped I wasn't noticing and then he get annoyed when I brought it up to his attention and of course I wanted him to fix them and he just kept filing them shorter instead of putting more product on top... so eventually I just said they were fine because I was ready to get out of there. I went here for my nails quite often and I'm usually satisfied. I came back to get 4 of my toes repaired and a pinky finger fixed bc they didn't hold up after one day. I asked at the front desk how much it would be to get fixed and he looked at all of them. he said he'd do $30. That was fine so I sat in the chair. he started taking ALL of the paint off and said "oh you're gonna need more repaired" and I had already told him they were acrylic gel. WHILE I was in the chair and was filing my toes off he started going up on the price. I asked him why he told me 30 at the front desk before bc we had already agreed on 30. he started yelling at me in front of everyone telling me I could go back to another salon and he wasn't going to finish after he ruined my other toes. I've never had an experience like this anywhere and I hate this this has to be my last experience. I was never disrespectful to him, yet he started yelling after HE was rude to me and was trying to mess with the price after we agreed on one and he ruined my other toes. read more

This place is fairly new so it's beautiful and clean and everyone seems very friendly. I went in to get nexgen nails. Another nail technician may be awesome but my experience with Tommy was not. He asked if I wanted my nails trimmed (I said no) then he filed half the length off. Didn't ask me what shape I wanted, just filed them into oval before I realized what he'd done. And I have several sore places on my fingers from his over zealous filing! Ask for someone else. read more

they always do a good job. every time i come i have a different person and they're all great. very friendly. i never have to wait to get my nails done. prices are average i guess. also they never cut my fingers or leave my nails sore. hard to find a place where every person can do a good coffin nail but this place is it! also 15% off with student id OR sign up w ur phone number and get a ton of deals every time which makes it cheaper. they did a great job, except my two index fingers have split horizontally towards the middle, along with my actual nail. i can't get them soaked off because the nail bed is exposed and can't rip them off because the crack is too far back. the first one cracked two days after getting them done and the second one cracked on day 5. it is very painful, and i just have to keep applying nail glue and bandaids every time it recracks, causing more pain. i won't be going back because i do not want to risk this happening again. read more

This was my first time getting my nails done in Denton. I get off work pretty late and wanted to get a fill for a weekend trip. I came in about an hour and a half before close and I was thinking that the nail tech would rush to get me in and out so they can leave but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt since I've never gotten my nails done here. When she was drilling my old acrylic off, she burned my nail bed 3 times and was very much in a rush the whole time. I requested for a coffin shape but she gave me very uneven lopsided nails that I had to even out myself when I got home. She even glued my nail to my skin on multiple fingers when applying the faux nails. Probably never coming here again and would not recommend. read more

I just moved to Denton and me and my mom have been looking for a new nail place to start going to. I came in today to get a manicure. I went with the Nexgen powder, I think that's the name of it. My nail tech today was Brandon, he did a very good job and he was very detail oriented and my nails look sooo good! The location is super nice and clean and the employees were all friendly. And one neat thing is Monday-Thursday I believe is 20% off so I ended up paying 28$ today... amazing. I definitely recommend this place and will be coming here from now on!! read more

I attached a photo so you guys can understand but it's not of their work. This picture I attached caused all the confusion. So! I typically go here to get my feet done and they have a student discount for UNT students so it used to be a win win. However , my last visit was anything but good. I typically get my finger nails done by someone else, but since they'd been doing so good with my feet I thought I'd give them a try with my finger nails. I showed one of the nail techs a picture I wanted of a pink/clear like natural gel nail. I told her I wanted my nails clear with the look of the picture. That's where I confused her I guess. She did my nails but it wasn't what I wanted. After letting her know I wasn't satisfied the nail tech argued with me that I told her I wanted something different and seemed like she had an attitude and didn't want to fix it. I got up and told her I had clearly shown her a picture of what I wanted and she kept saying "you said you wanted clear nails those are pink". Obviously I know I said I wanted CLEAR nails but I showed her the picture and said to do them exactly like this. She continued to argue with me about what I said I wanted. I said fine I'll just pay for this but I'm going to get my nails re done somewhere else. A man came by to mediate and offered to have her fix the nails, but he kept saying that I need to be more specific with what I say I want. I asked if she is going to fix it or not and she said she would but the whole time she did she had an attitude, she didn't say anything, looked annoyed, just sat there in silence fixing them and it was very awkward. Also when she finished, the index finger nails length didn't even match but I was so irritated at that point I just wanted her to fix the general problem and I was out of there. Only reason I'm giving this place a star at all is because they actually do a good job on pedicures and manicures. I won't knock their talent, but I will never come back to this place again. Unnecessary arguing with a customer because of a unintentional misunderstanding?Terrible customer service. In my opinion I would've just appreciated the nail tech and manager acknowledging that a mistake or misunderstanding was made and just fixing it. It was a quick fix anyhow all she did was just paint the light pink on there and put my hands back under the machine that hardens the gel. Bad customer service will not come here again. read more

If you value your time, please go anywhere but here. I frequent this nail salon quite often due to its close proximity to my house but each time, they give me a new reason to never return. I went today for an acrylic removal and dip powder set and there were about 5 customers being serviced when I walked in. However, I was told there would be a 1 hour wait so I waited. The hour came and went and just when I thought that I was about to get my nails done, they went to the next person who was moved from the pedicure chair to the manicure seat. I then asked how much longer of a wait it would be and I was reassured that "she's almost done" despite the fact that she had just begun applying tips to start a fresh set. About 5-7 more customers walked in at this point and they started turning them down telling them to come back tomorrow. The business was clearly understaffed today, but taking the max amount of clients despite the wait time and poor service. I will never spend another penny here and I hate that the management and staff doesn't know how to value their loyal clientele. read more
