I never like doing this. The last prob 4 times I've been to this nail salon, I have been rushed through the whole process, even on the days that I have an appointment. Like seriously, I'm tired of it. I came in on Saturday around 2ish and it was busy, no big deal I asked how long it would be and the owner, or I presume her to be the owner, says it will be 15 minutes. In my mind I was going to just come back another day that wasn't busy, but she insisted that it wouldn't be long, so me not going with my gut instinct to just leave ended up staying. So 20 minutes into my visit, I was asked to choose a color and I did for both my toes and my nextgen for my nails. I was sat in a chair 5 minutes later. The young gentleman who took care of my pedicure did a fantastic job, was cordial, took his time, was gentle with the whole procedure, sadly it was downhill from there. The owner comes to start taking off the nextgen I had on from a previous visit and oh my gosh she was so rough and was digging her nails into my fingers as she was trying to drill of the chunks of old nextgen, and while she was doing so she cut my cuticles up enough to bleed and sting during the part where she put the acetone soaked cotton ball wrapped with foil. Honestly, if you're going to treat your customers like crap so you can get more people in, I would rather spend my money elsewhere, I would even gladly pay more for better customer service. This was ridiculous. And of course she kept going back and fourth to customers who came in after me to tend to them before she even thought about finishing my nextgen. It was a good 50 min minutes to get them dipped and finished. She did an alright job, but wow have I ever felt like an inconvenience. If I could give no stars I would. I would give no stars if I could if that was an option. The manager was kind when I first started coming here. Every time I go it is never busy. But the manager acts like I am an inconvenience and bothering her by my being there. We had a horrible experience in Mother's day. She was clearly stressed out but they did not appear busy. They did not massage my legs or feet. They rushed through and kept making it clear she wanted us to get out of there. I was not going to go back but I had a few minutes with out kids and it was close by where we attend church. When I went for a quick polish change, she is was annoyed by it. Unfortunately, the old saying 'you get what you paid' for applies here. Friday - got a french mani pedi for a wedding Saturday - my manicure turned a weird yellow tint. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Sunday - I called the salon and told them about it Monday - the front desk lady was very rude when I explained the situation and she asked me if I had been tanning (I am very brown girl so that made me laugh) but I said no. She proceeded to yell out something in Vietnamese for 5 mins and I became the center of attention in the salon. She never told me what was going on till a gentlemen came over and started redoing my nails. I left the salon satisfied with my nails and hoping it wouldn't some how turn yellow again. I was at a friend's house in Highland Village and in desperate need of a manicure. I contemplated waiting until I was back in Las Colinas but after reading the reviews for this salon, I thought, hey why not. I should have waited! The plus side- I was immediately seated. And that's where it ends. I was attended by a male technician..and it was the roughest manicure I have ever experienced! He was pulling, tugging, pushing my hands/fingers all over the place. He got polish all over the edges of my fingers, on the skin, and half-assed attempted to get it off. Yes, attempted. I walked out with polish on my skin, I might as well have let my 4 yr old niece paint them. Not only that, there were ridges on my nails! Not smooth polish=higher likelihood of chipping. And that's exactly what happened, 2 hrs after I left the salon. Oh and I should mention it was a GEL manicure!! He was in such a rush to push me out of his station and get started on the next person aka more $$ for him. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning. I was the first to arrive one morning and sat, very visible to the manager who spent 30 minutes talking with the nail techs while I waited & waited. I didn't appreciate being ignored for so long so I got up & left. The "manager" Tracey came running after me just as I was about to back out of my parking stall. She motioned for me to lower my window & I told her I didn't appreciate having to wait while she had a chat with coworkers. She reached in my window and actually SLAPPED ME!! Not hard but it was a slap. I have obviously never gone back but want to warn others not to get on Tracey's bad side! Do not go here. I went to get next gen for my nails and the lady first tried to do it quick and add the powder on my existing nail extensions. Then when I asked her to remove my existing nail extensions and add new ones as the other ones weak super old and weak, she got mad and annoyed as she had other customers waiting when I had already called and made a prior appointment. I had my eye brows done here. I walked in and the manager was working on someone else's nails and she asked me to take a seat in the chair. I didn't have to wait long. She immediately hopped up and went towards the sink. I was thinking she would take off her gloves and wash her hands before coming to me. Nope... she clapped her hands in the sink, kept the same gloves on, which had a hole in them. You could tell she has been wearing them all day and preceded to start waxing my brows. I was in such disbelief I couldn't even get words out. She then used the same gloves to grab my credit card, the pen, etc and then walked over to start back on the other ladies nails. I have been going here since July 2011, when a friend took a group of us here for pedicures. LOVE THIS PLACE and can't say enough great things about it. Staff is warm and friendly, always remembering my name and welcoming me. Prices are fantastic... all pedis are SPA pedis with hot paraffin wax, great leg/foot massages, hot towels, hot stones, etc... and manis have hot wax included too. I used to go to other salons, but paid much more (for fewer services... wax and stones were never included). They get busy on weekends so I would suggest an appointment, but weekdays are usually good. I highly recommend. They use new plastic liners too, in the pedicure spa chairs. read more

I tried this place for the first time today with a friend. I have to say, overall, I was very impressed by the level of service. The inside is nothing spectacular or fancy. It's very basic, no bells and whistles, just a very standard nail salon. One thing that I found very interesting was that they use a plastic disposable lining when they perform a pedicure. I appreciated the added sanitation factor. The spa pedicures last FOREVER. It was crazy, but crazy good. It included the basic scrub, lotion and massage, but it also included a paraffin wax and hot stone massage. Very awesome indeed. I also got a manicure, and even though I forgot to mention that I wanted the gel manicure by the time she had started, my technician was very sweet about starting over. My friend also got a manicure and smeared her nails several times by accident, and the techs were more than happy to fix it. For a spa pedicure and gel french manicure, I ended up spending $55, which I thought was very reasonable considering my usual salon can charge up to $50 for JUST a pedicure. Also, gel or Shellac manicures usually run around $40 is the area I live in. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because they were a little rough on my massage and seemed to cut both mine and my friend's cuticle a little bit short on one hand :/ Other than that, I definitely enjoyed it will return. read more

Yikes. Walked in and no wait, I was so excited. Halfway through pedicure and manicure, two more people show up and the woman really starts panicking and rushing. This is no big deal, I told her I had a ton of time and to get them started if needed. I can wait. She said no and continued rushing. I asked her to take my previous nail tips off and she said they'd come off with time. I know, but I wanted them off all together. I asked for an eyebrow wax and she sighed loudly at me... I should've left then. She did no waxing aftercare, just waxed and left. There is wax in my hair, and still on my face below and above both eyebrows. Her partner was a very kind gentleman who did awesome. There was a very sharp spot on my nail I kindly asked if she could buffer down because I carry my one year old son and didn't want to hurt him. She sighed and complained she Would have to buffer the whole thing and recoat. When I went to leave and pay with a gift card (teacher Christmas gift) she sighed loudly at me again. I handed her my credit card, payed a cash tip and got the hell out of there. I get the busy holiday rush but... yikes. I went to another salon for years, but they became too pricey for me so I started looking around, As most of you know, there are nail salons on almost every corner so narrowing it down could be quite a challenge. Several people told me about Glamour so I gave them a try. I was very pleasantly surprised, and the fact that I could even walk there wasn't lost on me (although I would never in my life cross 407 on foot!) Their prices are uber-reasonable, and I'm in love with the pedicure which also included paraffin on the feet and leg massage with hot rocks (this is usually extra). I really liked this place! Although this salon is a tad more expensive than my previous nail place, I could tell that it was well worth the extra $10-$15. There were at least 7 nail techs working when I came in during the day on a Thursday, so I didn't have to wait at all. I got a gel manicure and a pedicure at the same time. The salon was clean, relatively quiet, and offered many color choices. Upon sitting down in my pedicure chair, I was given a menu to choose which type of manicure/pedicure I would like. The cheapest pedi is $38 (significantly higher that my regular $20 pedi), and the low end manicure was listed at $18. As far as the service I received...it was great! My pedicure lasted an entire hour and included lots of massage and a parafin treatment. Also, my gel manicure was one of the best I've had. They even applied 3 coats of polish to ensure a rich deep color on my nails, whereas other salons I've been to skimp on the last coat. Before the tip, my total was $60--not too bad for the great service. I'll definitely be back. read more

I went there to get a new set of acrylics for New Years, just your standard pink and white solar nails. The lady I got seemed very intense and angry, rolling her eyes every time I would try to make small talk with her and at the girls I nanny (which REALLY made me mad); she seemed like she was in a hurry and kept tiring her head to look out the window. When she did this she would file too hard or scratch my fingers, she forgot to put the coating on for the UV and she didn't file down my pinky nail, which now looks like a blob compared to the other filed down ones. I was just in there at 11:00. I was having a really bad morning and thought getting my nails done would make me feel better. I had the shellac done, that's all I ever get. The guy cut my finger while cutting my cuticles, AND my nails are NOT the color I picked out. I was watching the tv and by the time I noticed it was too late. The color I wanted was a pretty greenish color and I ended up with brown!!!! With the bad morning I was having, I was about to cry that I just paid and walked out as soon as I could. I've been here twice, once with my friend that recommended the place, second time I brought my sis-in-law. Overall the service was good, they provide little extras in their regular pedicures that most places charge more for. That was a plus. Gel mani was great, however my gel nail polish and polish on my toes didn't exactly match. Not too big a deal, it was very close. (I've had tons of mani/pedi's some gel, some not and I always match my polish). On my second visit, I brought my sis-in-law and both my girls this time. The manager/owner remembered me from my first visit, that's always nice. She speaks English quite well. I told her before sitting in chair that last time my polish didn't exactly match and that I wanted gel again but this time I wanted an exact match. She told me to pick out the gel and they would match the toe polish to it. So that is what I did. Their colors are organized by numbers. Unfortunately they were not able to match the polish, even using their number system and after trying some drugstore brand on me, I was ready to go. The girl that was working on me handed me off to someone else, this particular lady practically slammed down a color in front of me said she found the right match, painted my toes, asked if I like it. It was not even close this time, I said no I didn't like and she shrugged her shoulders. When checking out, I told the manager/owner I was paying for myself and the two little girls. I paid and still tipped. My sis-in-law was paying and her total was greater than just the pedicure she got. We asked why it was so much and the manager/owner said that's for you and the other little girl. My total on my second visit was different, more than my first visit even though I got the exact same service and paid for one child, which is why I thought I was paying for two kids the second time. My sis-in-law and I were both just shaking our heads at this point. Their quality of work is good, but they do not follow instructions. read more

One of my biggest pet peeves about nail salons is that they have a tendency to make you an appointment and leave you waiting for 30 minutes. I called they said 10 minutes. After 50 minutes of waiting I asked if I could soak my gel nails while I was waiting. The lady literally stared at me like she was trying to stare me down. She then angrily started soaking my nails with the cotton and wrapping with the foil. She then told me it would be an additional 15 minutes. 25 minutes later I reached for the tool that was sitting on the nail station and began scraping off my nail polish. The lady sat and watched me as I did this without saying a word. After I was done I got up and left and she didn't say a single thing the entire time. I have never experienced anything like that. I highly recommend Glamour Nails. I've tried several nail spas in our area and this is by far the best I've found. I get the "regular pedicure" ($27.50) and it INCLUDES callus treatment, paraffin wax, sugar scrub and a long hot stone massage. A "regular pedicure"/manicure combo is only $35 and includes a long massage up to the shoulder. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. (I would suggest asking for Hannah... she's my fave!) Massage chairs work really well. My only negative comment is that this place isn't "glamorous" ... it's clean but very small and the decor isn't anything to write home about. I have been going to Glamour Nails for years, but I will be looking for something else. They said a 15 minute wait, and I waited for 45. Then I sat with just hot water running for 20 minutes. I should have left, but then they started. My pedicure was going for about 10 minutes then the moved me to another chair. I couldn't believe it. I've never had to do that. That is just ridiculous. Then at the end the manger move the person doing my nails and painted them herself. She just threw a coat on and moved me to the dryer. They looked horrible.
