I made an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed online. When I showed up at 9:30 (when they open) the waxing person wasn't in yet. I didn't mind because I wasn't in a hurry but it was a little annoying. I waited about 15 minutes and they did a great job. The woman who did it was very friendly and fast. The place looked super clean (they were mopping when I walked in). They made the place look pretty cozy with holiday decor too. The price was really reasonable too. I have a scarf on my head because my birthday is this week and I have a hair appointment later today which is not the point at all . I walk in didn't feel welcome at all . YES IM BLACK! A lady walks towards me ask what I need I respond a pedicure and eyebrows she says we won't be able to help you until 5:30 -6 . There's 5 workers in there . 3 not working . 1 sitting at the desk on her phone . But no one can help me for another hour . Did I mention it was only 2 other customers in there being serviced . Yes I'm embarrassed and feel like my money isn't as good as there's ? But I'm neighbors to the other "paying customers" so my rent is good enough . Ok . I have also had positive experiences with other techs here. They have expanded their color selection so have a lot of colors now. They also do a nice pedicure and use hot stones which is relaxing! I am a hairstylist and I've been getting acrylic nails for like ever!! I decided to give my Nails a break and was really self-conscious of not having my claws. I did SNS with tips the first time and ended up loving it, the next time I went in my nails were long enough that I didn't need the tips anymore, I am very heavy handed and my nails don't usually last me the full 2 weeks. Every time I visited this place to get my SNS it definitely has lasted the full 2 weeks and even 3 weeks! They don't chip or break and they grow out nicely. I made an appointment for 3pm Arrived at 2:50. Came in the door said hi and gave my name. They said my appointment was at 3:30. Showed the text confirmation for 3pm. Color selection is very limited. Talked with the lady next to me and asked her was this her first time. She says she comes only for basic nails. Once you ask for designs or even shape that's when it goes down hill. Additionally one customer and employee were having a very homophobic discussion. Note on door says mask required, only employees had on mask. By 3:21 I still had not had my manicure started. By 3:27, the lady who came to sit me at the table around 3:15, started doing a man's pedicure. By 3:35pm, I decided to leave. As I was leaving, an employee stated the person would be a couple of minutes. What is the point of making an appointment if time is not respected? Unprofessional! read more

The salon was clean and Nolan was THE BEST! Upbeat and funny, it was highly enjoyable for him to do my nails. They have a HUGE selection of colors and a variety of products to choose from...and for $35 for a classic mani/ pedi....I honestly have not seen a better deal. AND my nails look fabulous! It took me just over an hour to get in and out on a Wednesday evening. Nolan gave a great foot/leg massage but could tell I was uncomfortable with all the bottom of the foot scrubbing (sorry I'm ticklish!) Not only do they do a phenomenal job, but I get them to last 4 weeks plus. They always take the time to shape my nails to look naturally curved and beautiful - I always get compliments. I used to go here all the time. They usually do such a great job and for a reasonable price. I always make an appointment as they are usually busy. Yet, I went the other day to get a tips and dip set. They were slightly busy so it seemed like the lady that did my nails was rushing. At a first glance they are pretty but close up they are crooked and messy. I think that if you have so many appointments that you have to rush through them, dont take so many appointments. I recently made the mistake of getting my nails done at this place with friends. If I'd been alone I would have walked out before they even started working on me. My friends got gel manicures and I only wanted a basic manicure. A woman sat down to do my nails and asked if I wanted gel. When I said no that I just wanted a basic manicure she rolled her eyes and got up and went to do someone else's nails!! Then when my friends were done getting their nails done a man sat down and did a quick rush job on my manicure. He asked me to wash my hands before applying the polish and then scolded me like a child that he thought I ran the water for too long!!! A woman walked in and requested a pedicure while we were there and they scolded her for not having an appointment and mumbled to themselves about her. The woman that rolled her eyes at me was shouting across the place to the poor woman that walked in that she needed an appointment. She did NOT need an appointment! My friends and I did not have appointments. This place is a joke!! I wish I could give zero stars. read more

i went to this location regularly because it was close to my apartment and the wait rarely was ever long. The place is clean and most of the employees are friendly. i would say my nails were about 75% of the time at the quality that I expected. the other 25% of the time i feel like it was just bad luck and I got someone less experienced. I've had manicures, pedicures, paraffin treatments, gel, OPI infinte shine, color changes only. The manicures are rushed during busy days. color changes are reasonably priced. Overall a very average appropriately priced place to have your nails done. I will say the "N" following the Minnow of my name stands for Nguyen, which is universally recognized as Vietnamese. The entire 4 years I've been at this location I've only ever paid cash so they never knew I was vietnamese. I also speak vietnamese fluently but never did to the folks who work here. i had a handful of experiences where the manicurist made rude comments about me or my friends. They're mostly regular every day work complaints, nothing too offensive. Once I chose a color for my nails and the manicurist (the one who is typically in charge) made a comment to her friend, "This has GOT to be the ugliest color in this place!". After she soaked my hands and before applying the color I elected to change colors due to her comment. After choosing a second color she comments to her friend, 'This is even worse!' another time one of the male manicurists did a color change for me, which was $10. I tipped him $2 (20% of $10) before leaving and he made a comment to his friend, "Only $2!" The ultimate time was again with the lady who regularly is in charge there. She made a few comments about the indecision of my friends who came with me and some snide comments about their appearance. They said it right in front of me while doing my nails then blatantly said, "I hope this one doesn't speak Vietnamese!" well, sorry, I do. If you think they're not talking about you or that the manager lady is 'nice', trust me she is the one who is talking about you the most. I would say the majority of my experiences have been pleasant. It is quite naive though for the employees there to assume the Asians who go there wouldn't understand Vietnamese though! read more

I felt like the parking lot is a little haphazard, but could have just been because I arrived around noon when lots of Dookies and hospital workers were out and about for lunch. The salon is very open and painted with pistachio green walls. All the technicians were busy when I arrived -- bummer because yelper Monica O had called ahead to reserve space for two. I was running 15 minutes late, so perhaps they just didn't honor the reservation. In any case, I soaked my feet in the water bath for about 20 mins before I was helped. But I really enjoyed my technician. She was a little clumsy with the nail file and pumice stone -- but she did a fan-freaking-tastic job with the foot and leg massage (and man were my puppies in pain after tromping around unloading 10 cases of vitaminwater, 10 cases of PBR, and various other items from yesterday's Yelp party!). Another technician actually handled the painting, and she did a fine job -- not as precise as I'd like, but not bad. Yes, as noted, parking is a hit or miss in that plaza- there is more in the garage. The massage chairs were great and they even let me sit in them when my friend got her full spa pedi and I was just got a french pedi. The place had customers, but no waiting line. The staff was friendly and polite and very efficient at their jobs. The place looked relatively clean, they had plenty of magazines to read, took great care in making sure you didn't accidentally smudge your polish before it dried, had a UV table for feet and hands and didn't overwhelm you with polish fumes- that's an A in my book. I was very satisfied with the french pedi and I'd definitely do it again. So far the polish has lasted, so it was worth it! Better than fine, it is a nice, inexpensive, and clean nail salon. Exactly what you expect/want from a strip mall nail place. I had an hour to kill, so I came on in. Manis are $13, pedi $25, and shellac/gellish/whatever (OPI) manicure is around $25 as well. Great-looking pedi and shellac manicure, solid magazine selection, and they have those disposable foam slippers in case you (like me) didn't bring flip flops. read more

It helped that Sunday afternoon was not super busy as I walked in without an appointment but it did start becoming more busy closer to 3:30. The nail paint selection was pretty good - maybe not some of the larger ones I've seen but this might order into the paradox of choices in one's mind. They do charge ~$15 extra for gel polish which seems a little more expensive than I'm used so I opted for normal paint. Also helps that they accept credit cards for anything above $10. read more

Was a little disappointed today! Have been coming here for months and today it seemed like I was trying to be rushed out with wet SNS! My last SNS had only been done 2 weeks ago and was already chipping but I chalked that up to maybe something I did to make it go bad so fast. Anyway, my nails weren't fully dry even though the technician claimed they were, and they smudged, 2 more times before I left the shop. I was quickly asked just to "sign my name" on the receipt before my nails were fixed which rubbed me the wrong way. I was about to give up on asking for them to be fixed because they looked dull and had bumps still, but another technician, Jenny took initiative and saved the day!!!
