The entire team always does an amazing job and takes their time to make sure you will leave satisfied with your new nails. I had a pedicure with Kelly. She was very nice and soft spoken. The salon was clean and not busy this particular Tuesday. Kelly recommended a peppermint sugar scrub, and included a foot massage. My toes are much prettier this afternoon. read more

You know those times when you kinda don't want to review a place because you are afraid the secret will get out?? This is one of those places. After so many months of being disappointed with the results at other salons, I finally tried Allure. It's fantastic and I always ask for the same person who is fabulous. After trying to walk-in to several other salons in the area, I called Allure to see if I could do a Pedicure anytime that afternoon. Luckily for me they were able to fit me in within 15 minutes of my call. Pedicure was $40 ($5 additional for gel Polish removal) and while the pedicure itself was good the painting of my toenails is not. I did a red base polish with red glitter top coat. Polish was not painted over my entire toenail, sides of the nail were missed, chips after day 1 and overall just a poor painting job. Definitely not pleased with the painting of my nails. read more

I absolutely adore this place & feel lucky every time I score an appointment with Amy. She does the best dip powder manicure in St. Louis, I'm telling you. And for $30? It doesn't get better. This nail spa is clean, bright, and the staff is really friendly. They always have some entertaining reality show playing which is always a nice break from... well, reality. They also have a rewards card and once you fill it up, you get $5 off your next service. Not a bad deal! They have a fun and varied pedicure menu here as well. I came in here yesterday and Mai Ly gave me the best powder dip mani I've had yet. She was VERY thorough and my nails look amazing. The price was much better than Beautiful nails where I usually go, and they also have a reward/card program which I think is wonderful. Mai Ly and her husband were very friendly and professional. Best powder dip manicure in St. Louis- possibly the world! Allure is kind of far from me but it is seriously the only place I want to go for powder dip nails. Anywhere else I go, my nails are either too thin or too thick and lumpy. Plus, most places use a UV gel topcoat, even though my whole motivation for getting powder is to avoid UV light. At Allure, they use powder for every layer and my nails look great with no sticking along the cuticles. I also recently just got my first pedicure here. My feet look AMAZING! Beware! I've been here twice. The first visit (dip manicure) went great especially after they found out I was a first time customer, even asking me to write down my nail color in case something happened. Second visit I called and made an appointment since I liked how the first visit went. Hate to say, my visit (during a work day day on a slow day), my mani-pedi was rushed! Fast forward one week and I the dip manicure had chipped!! I went back in today to get that fixed and from the moment I walked in, the owner was super rude, and proceeded to hurriedly 'fix' my nail and to top it all off, charged me $3 for what was obviously a terrible job to begin with! Not friendly whatsoever, not one word was exchanged the entire time she was working on my pedicure. She seemed very grumpy, and the massage that comes along with the pedicure was about 10 seconds long. The whole process was pretty disappointing but overall the actual pedicure was alright. read more

If you are looking for a good dip manicure.. come here! The place is small and might not look the most luxurious, but you will get great service. They take their time to make sure it is perfect. They do a great dip manicure that will last weeks and for a very cheap price compared to other places. My favorite dip color is #5556 (a very light pink) Also love that they play reality shows or Hallmark movies on the TV. read more

A absolutely love love this salon our tech Tom is amazing. He has done my nails twice . And then I brought my daughter who is blind to come have her nails done for prom Thursday. Granted we had a mix up on time so we went and had dinner and came back. He was more than patient with her and did amazing. Kept asking her to feel her nails asking her how they feel. He also did some special tactical designs on her nails . She told me when we left that he made her look beautiful and yes he made her more beautiful than what she already was. Given the area and options, I feel Allure Nails does a great job and is reasonably priced. My rating for a nail place is based on how long my manicure lasts; it looked great even into the 3rd week. I also like that when you do a gel manicure they are very careful not to put the gel all the way down to the cuticle which is what causes most manicures to start to lift and get stuck in your hair (if you have long hair you know what I mean)! I have not had my nails done in years and I have gone back 3 times since my initial visit a couple months ago. Try them! You have nothing to lose. PS: Tried the dips and in love PSS: For those who have had a bad manicure, I have been consistently told by the staff if I ever have an issue within two weeks to come back in and they will take care of it no charge. I get the impression they want to make it right if you aren't happy. read more

Nails look amazing but I'm giving 2 stars because they are scam artists. They purposely say things to make you agree and charge extra. I told them I wanted short and she filed them down and said "like this?" They were longer than I like but I still said yes since we had discussed short nails and figured they would be taken as short. Past the point of no return she lets me know they will be $45 Bc they're long. Not cool. Don't scam me. I got a mani and pedi no reason to try and bleed me dry. So yeah nails look fantastic but complete scam artists. I will not be coming back simply for that reason. read more

This place is terrible. The last time i came and had ANDY and he did a great job and was nice. I was told ANDY was on vacation for months so i went in today anyway because it's right by my work and convenient. The lady i had today was rude and the communication was awful. She made fun of me and laughing about how i would break 3 nails and that i must have punched someone? Wtf. I also said there was glue on my finger still and she said it's because it's too short. I told her to make my thumbnail smooth and she said something about the color i picked was too light? The shape in my thumb actually was boxy and curves upward. It does not match the shape of the other thumb nail. I asked her to fix it to make it shape like the other nail and she just kept saying that it's my real nail? What does that have to do with the shape? Bottom line, communication is terrible here. Come here if you want to me misunderstood and laughed at. read more

Worst pedicure I've gotten in a long time. Found them on Yelp and figured I would give them a try because the ratings were good. The staff was not welcoming, at all. One thing that also drew me into this place was a check-in offer for a free upgrade to a "luxury" pedicure, no such luck. I showed it to my girl and she told me no and that that must be from an old nail salon...even though on their menu is an upgraded option called "luxury" oh well, told her I would try the deluxe. She was very pushy and rough with my feet and legs and the part that really irritated me was that she only massaged my right leg. Seriously? How are you just going to forget an entire leg and foot?? Not to mention I did an upgraded pedicure, though nothing about this felt upgraded or worth my $30. read more

As a Californian who has paid way too much for the simplest of cuts, I can genuinely say Tiffany's surcharge was 1000% worth it. She was so kind and personable, and that really made the experience. She gave me her honest thoughts and was very communicative throughout the process. She really gave me the exact hairstyle I asked for after barely flashing her a photo, and I'm so endlessly impressed! Despite constantly cycling through short hair, I've actually never liked myself in it very much. However, Tiffany's work allowed me to feel more confident in rocking a short cut than I've ever felt! However, what I received felt more like a standard haircut rather than a curly cut. Before the appointment started, I thoroughly explained what I was hoping to achieve: more curl definition lasting beyond wash day, guidance on styling techniques, and a haircut tailored specifically for curly hair. Despite this, my hair was cut wet rather than dry, and there was no curl-by-curl shaping or specialized curly cutting technique used at all. As the appointment continued, several things made me question the stylist's experience level with curly hair. My stylist, Anna, seemed unprepared for the appointment. While styling, my hair was already drying and becoming frizzy in the front before products were even fully applied, and I had to point out that it needed to be re-wet. She also did not have her own diffuser and had to borrow one from coworkers. I had specifically mentioned that curl creams tend to weigh my hair down, but one was still used during styling. The diffusing process itself was also very uncomfortable, as I was instructed to hang the lower half of my body off the chair so my neck rested against the back of it. By the time my hair was almost fully dry, it honestly looked very similar to how it did when I walked in -- like I had showered, slept on wet hair, and done nothing else to style it. That was extremely disappointing after paying for a professional curly hair service. Anna could tell I was unhappy, and to her credit, she was kind and tried to fix things by washing the product out and attempting a blowout instead. Unfortunately, I still left with poorly styled hair. The face-framing pieces were going in different directions, and the overall result did not look professionally styled. I do want to emphasize that Anna herself was very sweet and pleasant throughout the appointment. However, when charging $90 for a curly haircut, a certain level of expertise and preparation is expected, and I do not feel that level of skill or knowledge was there. When booking, I specifically told the salon owner I was looking for an experienced curly hair specialist. I was told Anna was newer to the salon but had experience with curly hair and many happy clients. I truly hope this experience was just a one-off, but based on the multiple issues throughout the appointment, it did not feel like someone with advanced curly hair knowledge or technique. The owner did initially reach out afterward to try to rectify the situation, which I appreciated. However, after I responded, I unfortunately never heard back again. I had been very excited to come here because I've heard so many wonderful things about the salon, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I truly hope they take this feedback seriously because the salon itself has a great atmosphere and very kind staff.
