I just started coming to Allure, because my hair stylist Christina is here. She does a great job on my hair. Every once in awhile, I tell her to do what she wants and it always comes out beautiful, whether I have short hair or long hair, blonde hair or brunette hair. Along with Christina I have also found Lisa, the awesome nail artist, that can do almost anything! She is pleasant to talk to, funny, and I really enjoy getting my nails done now. Allure gets 5 stars from me. I purchased a groupon for a facial, and Tracy earned a loyal customer. She did an amazing job, was friendly, and made me feel comfortable. I had another facial this morning, and it was just as fantastic. Little confession: I have crazy Sasquatch eyebrows. They're bushy, unruly, and don't grow in evenly. I find myself constantly struggling to keep them somewhat even. I over plucked and decided it was time to let them grow in and leave it to Tracy to start from scratch. She did the best job I've ever had! After her waxing, my brows are even, the perfect shape for my face, and actually look good. I'm ecstatic! read more

1st appointment today and I am soooo happy! It's hard to find a stylist who can work with thick curls like mine, but Jurein knew exactly what to do. My hair looks fabulous with lots of pretty layers. She was really friendly, too. I guess they must have relocated, because other people talked about the salon being a bit dingy. It was open, airy, lots of natural light--really nice. All that and it was super affordable. $20 for a cut and blow dry. Curly girls, go see Jurein!! read more

First time client. Place was stylish but cozy . There was one woman leaving when I arrived. You think it would be weird, being the only person there, but Nina was so friendly and personable that we talked the whole time like old friends. She listened to everything I requested, and executed a beautiful, stylish, modern cut. Not to mention the color of the highlights are perfect for what I was picturing. I purchased a Groupon for a color, cut and conditioning. The price was a good value for the dollar, but you get what you pay for. I brought a picture with me of the cut I wanted and showed it to the "stylist" no less than 5 times and I walked away with one of the worst haircuts I've ever had... AND it didn't look anything like the picture. The last time I showed her the picture, I said... "this is what I want it to look like." The response was... "So, do you want more off the ends?" When I nicely stated that there was a significant difference in length and style - I then had to deal with an attitude with a pair of scissors in her hands. Once she got huffy - I cut my losses, paid my bill and will never go back again. Maybe others have better luck... lesson learned for me. read more

I bought a Groupon for DaVinci teeth whitening and quickly got an appointment. They have this neat app that you can use to book appointments and communicate with the salon which was nice. I saw Ashley and she was nice and professional. The treatment lasts about an hour fifteen and you can lay down, it's pretty relaxing. My teeth were no whiter than with any other products I've tried and I experienced painful sensitivity for five days afterward (hurt to breathe on my teeth!). Won't do it again. My stylist was Jurein and she made a simple trim and blow dry feel glamorous. Just moved to the area and found myself needing a new stylist. I went to Allure because the reviews were great and the prices were reasonable (for long hair cut and blow dry are not inexpensive but still reasonable) . In only half an hour Jurein trimmed my hair and took the time to blow dry and pin my hair into loose waves after I mentioned my hair's lack of body or ability to hold a curl. She cut my hair and bangs exactly how I asked and did a great job :) (Note: Children are not allowed in the salon without their own appointment) read more

I hate to leave a bad review. In purchasing 2 groupons (one for 2 pedi, one for 2 gel manis) I had high hopes of finding a new nail place. I was sadly disappointed. My first pedi with Brandy (who is obviously experienced) was great. Second one, not so much, with Nina. She is a nice girl... don't get me wrong. But she does not listen to your concerns. She left large "gaps" of either side of my toenails, and messy polish job. I tried again, and she gave me a gel mani 2 days before my (anticipated) engagement/proposal. Well, I wanted a french, I got a messy french. I asked her why was the tips on so narrow and left a large portion of my natural nail exposed? She said it was supposed to look like that... I voiced my concern a couple more times... nothing... she was very rushed... When she was almost done.. she said well do you want me to do them again? Well no I don't.. I have been sitting here for over an hour between a gel mani and pedi. So I left..well guess what... the NEXT DAY it was lifting.. the following day, even worse.. I had to soak them off myself. I swore I would never go back. On second thought, maybe it was her.. I tried again. Went yesterday, this time I saw Amanda... I opted for a red gel manicure as they were out of many of the colors. Not only was she sniffling with a cold and checking her cell phone the whole time (she told me she's been there 2 weeks) - she filed my longish nails, lopsided. Hand massage, with ICE COLD hands (how relaxing). 24 hours later, guess what? Chipping. If you want a cheap mani/pedi.. buy the groupon.. prepare to have your services done by a barely legal nail tech probably out of school with substandard work ethics. They offer groupons on a weekly basis... it's like herding cattle. In and out.. you won't most likely be back. Unless you can get one of the owners to do it.. which most likely isn't going to happen (they are never an option with "availability" in the "online" booking feature) Allure, if you want to get and KEEP customers, try working on listening to the CUSTOMER. I complained on my 1st gel mani to Tracy on the v/m and never even got an apology. I will go back to the Asian joints. At least they pay attention to the details! read more

I have been going to Allure since it opened. It is a cute little place that offers everything you would want. It is located right next to Johnny Appleseed school. I go there for my hair and get that done by Brandi. She is the only person I trust with my hair and it always comes out great. I am never afraid to try new things with my hair when I go see her because i know it will come out awesome. I also get facials done by Tracey. I actually got my first facial from her ever. The room is relaxing and she is very nice. I would reccomend this salon to anyone. They always have groupons as well so if you would like to try it out that would be a perfect oppurtunity. read more

I will preface this by saying I should write 2 separate reviews because there is a huge variance in my rating based on which service you are receiving! I have had excellent experiences with Tracey and will continue seeing her for waxing services. I recently had a gel manicure with Nina to prepare for my wedding. It was the WORST manicure I have ever received (gel or otherwise.) My hands were not soaked to soften the skin, cuticles were totally neglected, nails were not filed the same length and the white for the french manicure didn't even cover the natural white at the ends of my nails, so it looked odd. The gel was put on very sloppy and actually was on the edges of my skin, so when it started pulling away the next day, it also pulled off my fingernail! This was the first manicure I have ever had that was less than 20 minutes start to finish. Since all of my other experiences have been positive with Tracey, it is disappointing that this service was so bad! read more

I usually don't write reviews, but I had to share my extremely disappointing experience with this salon. Let me give a little background first, I made an appointment with my best friend to get a pedicure and gel manicure. We had an okay experience while at the salon. It was clean, the staff was friendly enough. However, as soon as we left, my best friend showed me her nails - they were bumpy-looking. As soon as I got home that night, one of my gel nails came off. The next day, a second came off. My toes were chipped within a day of the pedicure as well. I reached out to the salon, hoping that they could fix my nails. I could look past mediocre manicure if they could make up for it with service. Unfortunately, they never called me back I lost 3 more gel nails over this weekend. The manicure did not even last a week. Sadly, I will not be returning. I only wish they could keep their word. read more

I called last minute just to ask if anyone there did great buzz cuts on women (its harder than it sounds and few hairstylists are brave enough). My eyelashes queen Sam recommended Kaylee and she had 1appt open. I grabbed it. She totally ROCKED it! Did the front EXACTLY how I wanted added style to the sides instead of just making it short. Sam (who I also highly recommend) then did my eyelashes and I felt like a new chick. Kaylee is my new stylist. Thanks ladies, you are awesome! ! read more

I was suppose to have my nail appointment today, 8/11/2015 at this salon but was turned down because I took my 2 well behaved children with me as I didn't have a babysitter, they informed me that it's a "Liability" for children to be in the salon due to toxic, fumes, smell, etc. and they also stated that they only service children with hair and nail appointments ONLY....SO....WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? Isn't it a Liability to have children in GENERAL in your salon to begin with? So, I have to pay a salon service for my children to inhale toxic fumes? Because, it really seems like it!!! I went in 2 weeks ago to get my nails done for the first time in this salon and I saw a little girl, probability of the age of 4 or 5 years old walking and playing around the salon and she didn't have a service appointment.....Can someone answer this for me? Either way, if you have Children, this Salon is not the best place for you and would recommend you to find another place to get your hair and nails done. read more

My most recent experience at Allure was with Ashley Evans for an eyelash perm. Ashley is so easy-going and I had a great experience. She was quick and did a great job with the perm. My lashes were curled for weeks and I didn't have to stress about curling them before applying mascara. I am looking forward to going back! read more

I initially went to Allure after I bought my Groupon coupon. Nina did a wonderful color with highlights and gave me a great haircut! I returned for an overall color and haircut. My highlights did not show through like Nina thought they would. I called and Nina had me come in so she could give me highlights--free. She did a wonderful job. I have received many compliments on my hair. Nina is also very nice. read more

I had a groupon for a facial here--I really did not know what to expect, but I was very, very happy with my facial, which was done by Jenny. She was very gentle yet my skin felt and looked thoroughly cleansed afterward, and the extractions she did were painless. She used a combination of Neal's Yard and Jan Marini products--and she did a very nice job of customizing them to my skin's needs. Afterwards my skin looked great, with my pores smaller, my skin more refined looking, and my lines and wrinkles looking a lot better. I feel they were way over priced The pedi's "start" at $30 for a half hour and $50 for a hour pedi. I did not know there was a $50 for an hour because it does not say that on thier menu.... I have been going to Allure for a little over a year. I have received facial, pedicure, haircut, and hair coloring servies. My appointments always start on time and are never cancelled. Once they even offered to come in during a snow storm to honor my appointment! Everyone is very warm, welcoming, and professional. I always receive great treatments. read more

I'm so happy I went here and saw Kathy!! I came to her in need of some major help after getting a terrible balayage done at a different salon. She took her time listening to my frustration and concerns and then explained how she was going to fix it. She blended out the harsh lines from my previous foils by hand painting color through my hair for a pretty blended look. She then did a toner (that made my hair a little dark but toner fades) and a conditioning treatment to make my blonde hair feel soft again, all followed up with a great cut and style! Same Groupon problem as the other comments-as soon as I said I had a groupon they couldn't fit me in before the coupon expired and told me I could just pay the 35 dollar difference for the facial that should have been free. My husband bought me a Groupon for a gel mani/spa pedi with Lydia and she did an amazing job! She was so friendly and totally didn't judge the obvious neglect my nails have endured over the last year Also -thrilled to note that this was over a week ago and still not one single chip !! (I am a stay at home mom with 2 little ones and 2 massive/needy dogs so normally my nails chip within a day or so). I was so pleased with my nails that day that I immediately booked a hair appointment for the following week. I went last night for my haircut and I am SO happy with the results. I bought a Groupon to this place because it was convenient to where I work. They could not have made it more difficult to get an appointment. They offered me two times in a THREE week period. Clearly they only have one nail person who does their Groupon clients and based on the other reviews, I'm guessing it's Nina and I'm going to hate it once I finally get an appointment there. Sigh. This is my first bad experience with Groupon. Maybe I'll be surprised but my expectations are very low based on their customer service on the phone. read more

Super-bizzare experience. I used their online appointment system to make an appointment for a cut and color at 3 on a Saturday. At 11, I received a call that the online system had made a mistake and the absolute latest the stylist could see me was 12. I rearranged my whole day and rushed over there, only to be treated like I was imposing on them. The stylist with whom I had an appointment finished one customer and started another before sending over another stylist to ask what I wanted and then try to talk me into going with a darker, quicker color. When I said I didn't mind doing 2 processes to get the color I wanted, she said the two stylist would take turns working on my hair. Then she went back to another client and proceeded to ignore me again. One full hour after my appointment time, I finally gave up and left when the stylist skipped right over me and started to work on a woman who was clearly a friend of hers and had come in only 5 minutes before. I can't imagine why any business would want to drive away a new customer like this, but I certainly won't be bothering them with my business again. read more
