Owner Faryn is a very gifted corrective colorist. When my foil highlights with a less experienced stylist at this salon did not turn out well due to use of the wrong toner, Faryn corrected the problem cheerfully and with skill. I sent her a photo of my unsatisfactory result and she immediately acknowledged the problem rather than trying to dodge the issue. Client satisfaction seems to matter to her, both as a salon owner and a stylist. Of course it would have been better to have my highlights done correctly the first time and it was a waste of time to have to book another appointment, but Faryn impressed me with her knowledgeable expertise and professionalism. read more

I had been putting off getting my hair cut for a while since I recently moved to the area and didn't know who I could trust with my hair. I decided to give Brittany at Salon Bella Mia a shot and she did such an amazing job! I went for a wash/cut/blowout and wanted to keep most of my length. She not only did all of that in a very timely fashion, but was able to volumize my fine and straight hair. At many other salons I've been to, I go home to find that my hair was not evenly cut and is lopsided. Brittany did many checks to make sure the length was just right and proportionate. Allow me to caveat: everyone has off days & I can only speak to today. The client is NOT always right. But when we try to clarify what we would like, the stylist can be open to feedback and respond professionally. Ex: Hey I'm not sure how to get the look you want, but let me talk to my team and I'll be back. Unfortunately, when the stylist makes it about their ego, it kills any chance of resolution. I had a disappointing experience with Brittany and her attitude. I hear she is usually great though. Thank goddess for Faryn. She stepped in quickly and turned the entire experience around. Masters stylus Viki gave me a great body wave perm. I was booked to come back for a root touch up then the owner Faryn was to pull highlights through my hair This was also verified by the hair stylist.My roots were pulled through and the owner Faryn came over and spoke with Vicky to cover the rest of my hair especially the back underneath as whoever did my hair Faryn stated,should not be a hairstylist due to the several colors on top of each other in the back. I found that inappropriate speaking negatively of other competitors. My hair was touched up. Faryn never came over and spoke to me stating she was not able to pull the hair through as she was busy with high school perm updos the cost for a root touch up which I was told $55 totaled $95 to touch up my gray I was horrified at this price. I canceled the next appointment immediately. I contacted Faryn during the week after to speak with her just to get a break down of the price and thinking maybe I would at least get an apology not looking for any credit or refund. She was extremely rude and kept telling me she would speak with Vicky regarding this issue I was commenting Vicky had nothing to do with this and she was wonderful yet she continued to state Vicki was the issue and commented once again out loud as if Vicky was in front of her in the salon. By far the best hair salon I have been to in years! I came in to have my hair dyed and highlighted by the owner Faron. She was incredibly thorough and very friendly and gave me exactly what I wanted. She also did make up for me for a Halloween event I was going to over the weekend and it was absolutely spectacular! If you come here he will definitely not be disappointed! My friend and I were looking to make a last minute appointment to have our hairs done for a wedding and Salon Bella Mia graciously took us within a few hours of us calling. The ladies were simply amazing and very receptive to the types of styles we wanted. They were even able to clip in traditional Indian head pieces. She is a master at color, uses vegan product, does extensions, has fixed my hair which was damaged from a previous color extravaganza I did (before i moved) when I thought I'd take my natural dark color all the way to blonde (eek)-and today she is giving me a keratin treatment to also help my damaged hair recover. I've been coming to Lizz for my hair treatment, color, style for over a year now, this was my first time to come on a Saturday and it was a totally different experience. I recently moved back into the area after 5 years and had the dreaded task of finding all new places for hair, nails, doctors, daycare... well you get it! I've relocated for work a few times and it's always the worst journey to find a hair stylist - getting disappointed time after time and feeling regret for all the money wasted. Let alone someone who can properly put in extensions at a fair price. Please keep in mind that extensions are a luxury and they are always going to be a chunk of money - the prices are competitive for the area, and there may be cheaper options, or what seems like cheaper options. It's really something that you need to research and decide what's best for you. I did some research and decided to book an appointment with Faryn, the owner. I decided to go here because of the quality and workmanship, and I wanted tape ins, which they carried. The appointments take a lot less time than what I've experienced in the past for tape ins, even when I am getting a cut and color. Spending 6 to 8 hours in the salon versus maybe 3 hours - time is money, so there is some benefit there. She is professional but at the same time, also becomes an advocate in advising how to keep your hair and extensions healthy and long lasting. This is where, because the hair is high quality, some savings is gleaned because they can be reused 2 to 3 times. She is highly trained and will not sacrifice the integrity of her work and her price is her price - however she explains and breaks down the pricing up front and is able to give several options based on budget. Her work is very detailed, and she is able to cut hair very well and is also an artist with the extensions - it's very important to have someone who can use both haircutting and styling skills with the extensions to create a masterful, creative, and beautiful look. I was not disappointed, and she was very open to different ideas I had for the future and did not give me the typical condescending "Oh you can't do that with your hair, honey, or you would need a lot of money/upkeep IF you insist on going in that direction..." which I always get because I have very fine and thin hair - which is why extensions are a lifesaver. Having the extensions makes me feel and look younger than my age! She uses real hair - Hotheads - and matches the extensions as close as possible to your own natural hair and blends it expertly. She totally will do a whole new color or something else too if that's what you want. I like having options and knowing what I'm getting into - she explains everything beforehand and is very up front with information and is approachable when you have questions. I love the look and feel of the extensions and have always gotten compliments on how great my hair looks, no one ever has guessed that I have extensions - even when I tell them they don't believe me. She can give you all types of extensions, from curly to straight, even with highlights! The quality of hair that Faryn uses is of the best quality and rarely ever tangles and can be used multiple times depending on how you take care of them.
