I finally met Winnie after dealing with her and her staff on the phone over 6 years. She was friendly and gentle, just like on the photo. She thanked me for my business. I was very glad to meet her friendly staff, too. I've heard few competitors complained about how rude her staff was. But most associates I dealt with were very knowledgeable and friendly. Except for one strange interaction after my SUV got rear ended. I called to ask for advice. After I told a lady about my situation in English, she replied in her condescending tone, "你打給我幹嗎?" (Why you calling me for?) Oh ok. Sorry to bother you. My disappointment started after a massive rate increase across the entire State of Texas. I couldn't blame it on individual agents, but State Farm. I called her to help me reduce my premium and I was happy for a while. Over a month ago, I sent an online inquiry about my insurance policies; I just got a call from her staff this week. She said they are planning to move to Dun Hua Plaza next year. I think the Chinese community will be happy to see her in Chinatown.

I discovered this office on Corporate and Bellaire few years ago after my previous insurance agent sold his business. I found this office from a Google search. After I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly employee. My goal was to assign an agent to handle all my insurance needs. The employee spoke to me in Chinese and kind of funny. "So many people said that", when I told her I didn't notice this office has been at the same location for several decades. Everything was fine until a recent interaction. Wells Fargo Bank eliminated the mortgage division and transferred me a different company with a short notice. I saw paper trails between Allstate and the new mortgage company. All of these processes completed in November. So, come to find out my flood insurance was left unattended. My mortgage company wrote me a threatening letter... "if we do not receive replacement or renewal coverage, we will order coverage at your expense to protect our interest. Insurance placed by us may cost significantly more than a policy you can obtain on your own and will not fully protect your interest in the property." Wait, What? I have flood insurance. So, I walked into the office to inquire about the status. She said the Flood Insurance Company was waiting for the mortgage company to send the policy to. What? I thought you already have that info. It doesn't make sense. How is left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing? Someone, I don't remember who, reassured me everything will be okay. Just call the mortgage company back and forward the policy document. I was able to meet the required deadline. But, come on, it was a lot of work. I never had any issues with my previous Allstate insurance agent, but this one is an exception.

Just call her and make an appointment and be sure to have all your paperwork and two years work history, proof of income, and credit score 690's or better, with down payment, or proof of money to purchase the home. Check your debt to ratio, and have co-signer if you're credit is low. Both need all the things mentioned above with proof income, plus have your driver license and ID with you.
