Truck broke down, filled out insurance roadside assistance service automated form, notified of towing company (Allwine Curry) and ETA with realtime map. Phil was right on time, professional, personable and expedient. Truck was on the back of the flatbed with 5 minutes, we were dropping the truck off at the garage within 10 minutes and he had me back home 10 minutes after that. Bing, bang, bong. Seven Springs Ski Resort is our family annual trip and on Friday, Feb, 15th, 2019 we arrived to an iced over driveway at the Chalet. Up we drove, until down we began to slide backward on the ice as we did not have any traction on the ice, right into a ditch. The rear driver side wheel was locked behind a stone boulder. We had to call for Road Side Service and Ryan from Allwine Curry Towing shows up. Let me just say that, we were not in the best of spirits and tow guys I have experienced in the past present a challenge. Surprise, Ryan did an assessment, explained the possibilities of what maybe the results, based on how the car was situated. Okay, this is different. We were having some troubles with our Volvo during our drive back from Thanksgiving break, so we made an appointment with Rick on our way home on Friday. Dropped the car off on Tuesday morning, and received a phone call by early afternoon to let us know that they were able to determine certain issues but did not have the specialized proprietary diagnostic software to figure out the full extent of our problems. When we went to pick the vehicle up we were surprised to learn that we were not charged for the services rendered, but more importantly that the mechanic had the foresight to not clear the error codes. This was important so that when we bit the bullet and took the car to the Volvo dealership they were able to quickly determine what the problems were. Seems like a good group of guys and I will be taking my other vehicle there in the future when it needs repairs. read more

The weather was abominable, and because of the 7 degree temps, we got stuck on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. We were on the way to a wedding in WV, which we never made, because our windshield fluid froze and the mountainous roads became treacherous due to the ice and snow. I called state farm roadside assistance at 11 am today and needed to get a tow. They had me set up with this company to come get my vehicle. I got a text at noon saying my car would be picked up in 150 minutes which was already pathetic to me, so i left work and came here at 2:10 to make sure i was early. At 3:05 i called state farm back to see where these people were. After talking with them they informed me that allwine curry towing would need another 90 minutes to get to me. This company is located 8.5 miles from me according to google maps. 4 hours to pick up a car thats 8 miles away. Does that make any sense to you? Choosing a mechanic in a new neighborhood can be nerve racking. So when my fiance started having issues with his trucks wheel bearings the only place we trusted to turn to was the Bbb to see if we can find any good reviews and allwine curry was one of two we found in our area. We are so happy we chose allwine curry. The owner Rick was very accommodating, providing us with a loaner car and was prompt with an estimate and fixing the wheel bearing and emergency brakes. He also offered us the Napa credit card to make our payment easier. Overall Rick made this very stressful situation a lot easier to handle. With us becoming new home owners, this repair would have really hit us hard at any other mechanic, we were really lucky to have picked such a great, honest mechanic with reasonable prices. Not good. Never showed up for a tow - 4 1/2 hours late. Truck driver lied about the reason, and damaged my car opening it. Talked to manager who was rude and defensive. AAA knows about them and their shortcomings now. A formal complaint has been filed with them. Apparently they gouge people at inspection time too. read more

Worst company ever! Tow truck never showed after waiting over 3 hours. I was told they had more important calls to attend to before they could come get my car. Even though the other calls came in after mine. I filed a complaint with AAA and had them send a different tow company to get my car. read more

He was out minutes after I hung up the phone. Very respectable and a good sense of humor. Very fairly priced. He is not out to rob you blind like many others in the area. His number is 724-610-0076. Horrible place - I took my car for inspection. He said i needed brakes and new tires and would charge me a $1000. I took my car to another mechanic in Latrobe and he said my brakes are good and it will pass inspection. That guy in allwine curry was just trying to rob me! i passed the test, had used tires installed and got a bill of $205 dollars!! read more
