Wish that there was a minus star review! took my 2013 CRV in for inspection. they told me that one tire on the rear was 2/32 which by PA law is passable. they said that their mechanic is State certified and can fail any vehicle that they want to! I stated PA law and told them accordingly it's legal!! they wanted me to buy new tires, then I asked if I could bring 4 new tires that I had, answer was yes bring your vehicle next week and we will mount them and put your sticker on. Then the wouldn't mount my tires because of a federal mandate stating not to mount tires 5 years of age even though they are new. I Googled it and found out that there is NO Federal mandate stating that!! they lied!! I will no longer deal with Firestone, they lost 3 vehicles!! read more

Today we dropped by when the car had a battery warning light on. One of the servicemen came out immediately and checked the battery. He got us going and recommended we go to the dealer immediately, since it is a new car. My check engine and engine overheat light came on, so I took my car to Firestone because it was super close. It needed a thermostat, oil change, and they told me I needed a coolant flush. However upon contacting th e Chevy dealership, I was told that a coolant flush only needs to be done at 150,000 miles or every five years whichever occurs first. My car has 70,000 miles on it. Chevy recommended a drain and fill. So at the end of the day I paid $770.00. Diagnostic $100.00, oil change, thermostat, and over $100.00 for an unneeded coolant flush. They also recommended another service for over $600.00 which I declined because I want a second opinion. The oil and thermostat were within the proper price range. Now on I will take the car to Chevy dealership or trusted independent. If necessary I will pay to have it towed instead of being gouged by someone doing unnecessary service. In read more

I would not recommend Firestone! I took my car in because of brake issues. They cut the back rotors. It did not help. Went back again, and they replaced the back rotors. Again, did nothing! Took my car to a subaru dealership and they said the back rotors weren't the issue it was the front that needed replaced! How do you not know that! During this fiasco, I told My niece to take her car to Firestone for an inspection because at that time, I trusted them and thought they did a great job. They said it would be +$2000. Do not bring your car here for an inspection unless it is 100% stock from the factory with not so much as a scratch on it. They will refuse to inspect any custom work done to your car and will not use any common sense when making this decision. I will say theyre good for tires, although a little pricey. And amazing for alignments but dont expect anything extra, not so much as a cotter pin. I want to like this place but their corporate policies are ridiculous. read more

I bought tires here for my 2016 Escape. September 2020, Brendan answered the phone, and helped me. As a single women, I don't know tires, however I told Brendan what I was looking for and how far I drove daily. Brendan got me the greatest tires, a little more expensive than my "quote" but no worries, Brendan helped me out with a coupon! Now today on my way to work, I got something and it tore a hole, a big chunk out of my tire. Thank God and Brendan that I had the road hazard protection! The saints who work here saved me from walking 100+ miles back to State College (and everywhere thereafter)-- or from getting stuck for the night and spending loads of money. Car overheated on PA-66, and they squeezed me in despite being booked up for the rest of the day-- they probably ended up having to stay at work longer on a Sunday because they agreed to help me out. The mechanic confirmed it wasn't a gasket or the thermostat, worked his magic on the radiator, topped off the oil, and gave me instructions on what to look out for and what to have checked once I got back to town, along with stopgap measures I should and shouldn't take on the two-hour drive if necessary (no such measures necessary, because he fixed the stupid thing). I can't even put into words how lucky I was to end up on this exit and drive up to this shop. I'd be screwed and possibly without a working car otherwise. I've never had a less than excellent experience with these guys. They're friendly, informative, and they don't try to sell you crap you don't need. They do great work, and I have yet to call and not get an appointment in less than 24 hours. The lifetime alignment deal is absolutely worth every cent and can be used at any freaking location! Family has always been involved with Goodyear growing up, but over the last 5 years, I've just experienced an I-don't-give-a-crap attitude with them and getting an appointment was always a struggle. Four hours to install snow tires? I had tires delivered from Tire Rack to be installed here. I made an appointment for 12:00 and they were not finished until 2:30. After a quick trip to Lowes I noticed that the old tires were not in the trunk. Back to Firestone where one guy told me they threw away my old tires because I hadn't specified that I wanted to keep them. The tires had about 1,000 miles on them so I couldn't imagine that they would have not asked me first. More investigation showed that had charged me $10 to scrap the old tires, but hadn't actually installed the new tires. The new tires were in a box in the back. So now another hour and a half to install the snow tires. Firestone really needs to look into this place and see what is going wrong. read more

While on an extended road trip, I suffered a flat on the PA turnpike. After swapping my flattened Firestone for the embarrassment donut, I Google mapped to the nearest Firestone shop, which happened to be this one. The guys assisted me immediately, and were extremely helpful and professional throughout! In no time at all, I had my flat replaced with a new tire and was on my way! And btw, I was able to watch through the window as the technician installed my tire and he used a TORQUE WRENCH and knew to tighten the lug nuts in the correct sequence! Some of the worst customer service I've ever received. My boyfriend's car broke down because of gasket cover issues, an issue he had fixed at a Firestone last month in our home state of Delaware. I called this Firestone and explained the situation. The store manager stated that he doesn't have enough "man power" to fix the car that day. I said "What? What does that mean?" because all I could think was that he wasn't at war in Benghazi, he fixes cars... Fix it or try to fix it eventually. He proceeded to insult my intelligence and then when I stated that I wanted to speak with his manager, he questioned my decision to call a superior. After arguing back and forth I was finally connected with a district manager that provided me EXCELLENT customer service and explained why he didn't have enough "man-power." This experience was awful especially considering the only reason I'm in town is because of the death of my aunt. This situation just added to my stress. read more

I have had 2 bad experiences at this location. I have used other locations before and been very pleased. It all comes down to bad in store management at this location. I called a week in advance to schedule my appointment and order my tires. I had an 8:30 am appointment. When I arrived back at 4:30 pm, my vehicle was still not ready. When my vehicle was finally ready, I walked out side to see that the tires they put on were not what I ordered. I went back in to ask why and was told that the ones I wanted were unavailable. Something that I should have been told before I even left my keys there. The management didn't seem to be concerned. I then got a hold of the district manager whom did everything in her power to fix the issue and was wonderful. She ordered the tires I asked for! Then I received a rude voice mail from the store and when they finally installed the correct tires, they were all 4 under inflated.
