Came here for an event, service was attentive. There was a buffet and it was a lot of food, I did note that many in the party kept returning for more, especially for the crab legs. But I just came to book and event this passed Saturday and I had the pleasure to work with Sarah and she was phenomenal. I love the packages and promotions that they give and how they are very competitive prices from other venues. They recently added enhancements if you want to add to your event and I think that's very epic. You can have a pizza man, baked potato station, and much more!! I've been here numerous occasions and even had our wedding reception here many moons ago, so may great memories and experiences. Property is gorgeous and food is solid. We recently came here for their AYCE Sunday brunch to celebrate my sister in-law's birthday and had wonderful time. Brunch is served from 10am to 3pm. Reservation highly recommended. Parking is challenge on Sunday since you're competing with golf course customers, street parking is good option. It looks like they updated the restroom since I last came here. Looks nice, clean and modern. Seating is in the main banquet room, which is huge. There were 50 in our party, so it was perfect. It overlooks beautiful golf course and lake. Once seated, guests are treated to a glass of champagne (unlimited). Service isn't attentive, need to flag down server for refills or remove plates. As for the food, they have traditional breakfast dishes like scrambled eggs, bacon, pork sausage and roasted potatoes. There are few cook-to-order food stations. Omelet and pasta stations are the crowd favorites and worth the wait. Prime Rib Station is excellent. I got medium cut and it was delicious. It's next to Waffle Station, which is also popular. Snow crabs and shrimp section are outstanding. Snow crabs are big and sweet. I got multiple helpings and packed my plate pile high. It's lot of work and very messy, but worth the time. Self-serve menudo section is a must. Broth is so flavorful and tripe is tender. It comes with all accoutrements - dry chile, oregano, onions, cilantro and lime. Other favorite dishes that I liked include roast beef, sauteed vegetables, bbq ribs and cod fish. I thought dessert was okay. Though they had variety of cakes and cheesecake, I only got pumpkin pie because I didn't have any during Thanksgiving and it's my favorite dessert during the holidays. The bacon was raw, the salmon was over cooked, the beef ribs were so tough you could not bite or chew them, the crab legs tasted like salt the waffle and syrup had no taste, and the pastries tasted old and stale. I would never go back or recommend this place. I told the lady in the office about the issues. she had no reaction or response as if she did not care. I'll start this review with saying the staff was great ,helpful , and accommodating. Not a drinker but the bottomless mimosas was a contributing factor in choosing this brunch for our group. Price point is ok for an AYCE brunch. There was lots of dining space and parking available. That said... To be honest,the food was not that good. There was a variety but it was like a hotel brunch. Great venue, we went there recently with day trip or tours to see the carpenters. The lunch was delightful with a special treat of having wine with our meal as well as an ice cream sundae for dessert. It was decorated so cute with lots and lots of balloons. I decided to take my parents to the Thanksgiving brunch this year since we had no plans and didn't want to cook. I was pleasantly surprised! I was expecting the place to be busting at the seams but it was very open with many empty tables. We had 4 adults and a child but they offered us a table of 8 so we could fit the stroller! Loved the extra space. The buffet was very extensive, there was typical thanksgiving fare - turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans almondine, prime rib, ham, etc. There was also braised short ribs (which were delightful), my son ate a bowl and a half of their mac and cheese, there was posole, enchiladas, king crab legs (over ice), cod, beef and broccoli, and a myriad of other dishes. I gave it 3 stars because the food was all OK, besides the stand outs to me which were braised short ribs - there was no way i could eat $50+ worth on braised short ribs alone. The dessert assortment was also kinda sad. They had a freezer of ice cream but only 1 lid, so half the ice cream was open the whole time and there was no attendant so people just scooped their own ice cream which gave me a huge ICK. In general, there were not enough attendants at the buffet line to make sure everything was clean. The wait staff was very friendly and always came to clear plates and check up on us. I've gone to Almansor Court for a baby shower and a birthday. Both times were Sunday Brunch. I can't really speak for the hot food choices because I only ate from the waffle stand, and the create your own omelet stand. I spent the majority of my time tearing up the crab legs. Both times the crab legs were great! My only wish is that they'd offer some warm crab- both times they were on ice. I did enjoy the fact that they were individually separated and weren't too salty like some buffets. We also got the bottomless mimosas. I mixed mine with the watermelon aqua Frescas that they had in the omlet station and that was definitely a game changer! Both times I went, we got great service, our bottles of champagne stayed coming and our drinks stayed full until we waved our white flags. The grounds are beautiful! Almansor sits on a golf course which makes it a perfect place to take pictures with your folks! I'm not exactly sure how much it is but with tax and tip for a large party, I ended up paying $70. Thanksgiving day review for 4:45pm RSVP: 5 stars for our servers Cristina Medina and Daniel. They were GREAT! They worked their a**es off that day. 1 star for the hostess with the attitude. She had straight black hair and was wearing all black with white and blue trimmed Nike shoes. Describing her so that admin identifies who she is. You could tell she did not want to be there. Was not friendly or pleasant at all! I get it, it's a holiday, but don't take out your frustration on customers. Secondly, 1 star for table placement. We were sitting between bags of soiled tablecloths and the dirty dishes; and it was DARK!!! I was so embarrassed to be at that table. It was just my mother and I, which is why we decided to eat there because we are not a huge family. Sadly, this will be the last time I go there! Lastly, 0 stars for the disgustingly dirty restrooms. It looks like the toilets have not been cleaned since pre-pandemic times! The only reason this wasn't a COMPLETE disappointment was for the servers that I previously mentioned! First of all, kudos to the staff who were nothing but kind and attentive to everyone on Thanksgiving. I hope that the Almansor Court administration recognizes how hard they worked during the holiday. This review is not about the service, which, as I mentioned, was commendable. This review is about the food. The food was not great. At best, it was fine. At worst, it was room temperature and unevenly cooked. The mashed potatoes looked like they came out of an instant box, and the fat on the ham was congealing before our eyes under the heat lamps. The best thing was the pasta bar, the only place where the food tasted fresh because, of course, they were cooking it right there. I know 50$ for a Thanksgiving buffet is comparatively to a lot of what is already out there, but it is still a lot of money for a lot of people, and I feel you don't get your money's worth here. read more

Nut allergies beware! Items are not labeled with allergens. We went for Thanksgiving brunch. My child has nut allergies. Unfortunately my husband thought stuffing would be safe for my kid to eat while I was waiting for pasta to be cooked. When I got back to the table, my child was telling me she wasn't feeling well and that she had an allergic reaction and her tongue was numb. We asked the waiter to check with the kitchen which items had nuts and they said the chicken was the only thing with nuts (almonds). She didn't have the chicken and she doesn't get a reaction with almonds. The only thing she ate was stuffing. When my sister in law who's a chef arrived, she tasted the stuffing and confirmed there was walnuts. I emailed Almansor Court for the ingredients of the stuffing. Apparently, they don't prioritize customers and didn't bother sending me a response. It was very important for me to reach someone to share the importance of posting allergen labels and to confirm the nut was walnuts, so I am aware what type of reactions will show up. Legally they do not have to post labels, but if you ask about allergens and inform them of allergies, they are responsible. read more

Although I've been here several times before, this was the first time we dined at the beginning of their AYCE lunch. I have to say, it was nice spread and festive, celebrating Thanksgiving. Because I'm watching my diet, I had only proteins and left comfortably, after having their prime rib, turkey, and ham, as well as shrimp cocktail, which was delicious. As for the atmosphere, there was a wonderful view of their golf course and free flowing drinks, except for the alcohol, which was an additional charge. If you have children, they will most likely enjoy the desserts and the wildlife, such as wild geese, ducks and a pelican or two. The Thanksgiving buffet is baaaack!!! Yayyy, we don't have to cook...we can just feast...the event was sidelined due to the pandemic ....happy it's back...always a nice variety to suit any kind Thanksgiving....Mexican, Asian, Italian, and traditional Thanksgiving with all the fixins'. Seafood too. King crab with lots of meat accessible, not a lot of muscle or even patience needed to eat these crab legs... PROS: Great 5-star server he was a magician....disappearing our dirty plates whenever we got up to visit the buffet. And while watchful, never hovering. Plus he was warm and made us feel welcome. The house manager greeted us, had a lovely conversation with us. Food in general, especially the bbq ribs, the fresh fruit, the turkey, the menudo, the crab, the carved ham and carved prime rib...and the yams (tho they didn't look nice and was swimming in a sweet liquid)...the yams I had were yum. Oh and the no crust pumpkin pie shaped in a crescent and the coffee were nom nom nom. We were given a pitcher of iced water and orange juice. but there was also tasty lemonade and other juices at the coffee station. And the view of trees lining the golf course.. even from the rear of the dining room...beautiful. CONS: I asked for a table for two next to the windows: it was a gorgeous day, 12:30 pm...and since Ive played golf here, i wanted my mom to see the play and to have view of the big water hazard a.k.a. lake with the swans...but my request was ignored by sour 2 star attitude from an overwhelmed maitre'd....she had no greeting no smile no cheerful holiday vibe, no instructions no conversation whatsoever...it was a second hostess who flagged us, escorted us, deposited us in the dining room on the clubhouse side like a bad smell without one word to us...hmmm...thank goodness our actual server had a happy attitude and made us feel like valued customers ...but the young maitre'd and her hostesses (front of house staff) were huddled up at the reception desk definitely having issues unrelated to us...they could use more customer service training....in other words no window seat even though there were a lot of empty seats along the window for the whole two hours we were there.... In fact we were seated the furthest from the window at the back of the dining room on the dais next to the DJ booth. *SIGH* ...mom felt like we were being judged by our business casual attire placed so we wouldnt be seen...but we gave the front-of-house the benefit of the doubt, and we stayed focused on fun and feasting. About feasting...the jumbo shrimp whoa 2 stars...hey, clean the jumbo shrimp...or buy the precleaned and de-veined shrimp ... all the shrimp on our plates had poop still in them. Ugh. Mom refused to eat it and she eats everything. Also on the con side, sometimes the food was lukewarm to cold even in their chafing dishes...like the fried rice and chow mein were lukwarm even fresh from the kitchen..same goes for the turkey...I got lukewarm turkey from a new full tray straight from the kitchen and shockingly it wasn't hot whatsoever...which is OK since I slather on cold cranberry sauce on it anyway...but I noticed this also with other dishes like the lukewarm menudo. What a shame because food tasted great, not too salty... but something funky with the heating elements on the buffet, just sayin' Overall, we were grateful the thanksfiving buffet is back. But for next year...how do we request window seats on the lake and gazebo side???? read more

I chose this place for my birthday after seeing the high rating, but was very disappointed. It's way overrated. Broccoli beef was horrible (tasted like soy sauce). It's much better at the Chinese fast food. Most of the things I tried were just ok at best, nothing outstanding. I did like the fish (cod?). The crab legs were too salty, edible but could be better. The chicken lacked flavor, pretty bland. The cakes were too sweet. It's not like I had a lot of it. I shared with my friend and only tried half of each. Planning a wedding during the pandemic isn't the easiest nor the most ideal thing ever. Gary from Almansor Court made the process seamless, hassle-free, less stressful and easy. We got the gazebo for the wedding ceremony and Palm Court for our reception. They canceled on us at some point but were able to open up a few weeks before our wedding date to make it happen while following protocols and city's ordinance for COVID-19. At the ceremony, guests were seated 6 feet apart on each side, front and back. Everyone wore their masks and maintained social distancing. At the reception, all windows surrounding the Palm Court were fully opened to allow air and ventilation per the city's guidelines. There was a maximum of 6 people per table and each table were more than 6 feet apart from each other. Unfortunately, because of the city's guidelines as well, we couldn't have a full blown program (groom and groomsmen dance number, boquet toss and etc.) Anyway, the food was amazing. I picked their chicken dijonnaise, and it was a hit. The sauce was so flavorful and went well with the veggies, rice and chicken. Yum! Nevertheless, at the end of the day, I am married to my bestfriend and I couldn't thank Almansor Court and Gary for making it happen. Shout out to Juan Carlo, from Almansor Court, as well for making everything go smoothly on the day off the wedding working with my coordinators about everything from the ceremony to the reception. I enjoyed Sunday brunch. I don't have high expectations for buffets, but they had a wide selection of food. The food was warm, constantly refilled, a lot of them had a decent flavor. The menudo definitely surprised me it was really good. The staff was super nice and the chef as well as the awesome people at the omelet station took my allergies seriously which I really appreciated. The vibe feels like you are at a banquet party except that you don't know anyone, there is something I liked about that. The waiter was on it and it had a cute view of the park.
