Please read the other bad review on xpel customer and stay away from this shop.
This is one of the shadiest shop I have gone through. I called and asked for the xpel prime plus window tint for my BMW. I asked for a warranty card stating the Roll ID of the film used and the shades of the film. Faysal said he has all of that and he is a certified xpel installer. I asked him whether I can see the box to verify that the film is from xpel, but he said it is in the backroom and customer are not allowed to go there. Then I asked him to bring the box out for me and he gave me the excuse that the store owner does not allowed that. This is a big warning I should have heeded. He said I should not worried about that. He said he will give me the warranty card afterward with the information that I asked for. I thought it would be fine if I get the warranty card with the Rollid and lifetime warranty that comes with it, I would be fine. He gave me a good price and he agreed to go ahead with it.
After the installatjon, I read the previous store review of a customer having issues with the same xpel tint issue that I was concern about. That customer went to another shop and verified that the tint is not the xpel tint that she bought from Almas. I brought this up to multiple store workers including fasad and they insisted that the tint is xpel prime plus that they put on my vehicle. I asked for any kind of proof and they cannot give me the proof. On the receipt, they did not state the xpel prime plus tint on it. It just states a generic term "ceramic tint" and has no Rollid. Faysal finally admitted that they are not a certified xpel installer, but they bought "leftover" tint film from a "certified" xpel installer and they don't have the original box. They tried to sell me that bs crap. I asked for the shop name and contact information and warranty card with the Roll ID. He said he will get it for me. He said he never heard of Rollid on the warranty receipt. As of today, he has not given it to me because there is no such crap.
Another warning sign that I should have heeded was the fact that I asked for a different shades of tint and manufacturers such as xpel prime plus, solargard xenith, solargard vortex and said he installed those. I asked whether I can see those films, but he again said that he was ordering them right now. The key here is that he did not even take notice of what shades and manufacturers that I wanted. He said he has them all and I don't need to worry. More likely, he uses a cheap ceramic brand for all of those brands and making customer to pay the premium price and fooling everyone on it.
I went to an authorized shop called mum auto shop and asked them about verifying xpel tint. He said that the standard operating procedure. A certified xpel installer should be registered in xpel website and the installer should be able to provide the Rollid and the box upon request easily. The store owner showed me all the xpel boxes that has the Rollid on each of them. He showed his current vehicle being wrapped in the clean garage and introduced me to his workers.
I decided to get the windshield tinted from this shop and he gave me a receipt with a Roll ID imprinted on it with the tint shades and xpel prime plus on it. I find this experience so much straight forward and honest. It was an easy and concern-free transaction.
I called almas auto shop back and faysal said that he never heard of Rollid along with the warranty card. I texted him to call mum auto shop and other xpel registered shops and they will tell him the same thing. He denied that it is standard process.
I asked him I want the tint to be taken out from my vehicle and give me a full refund. He said he will do that, but he lost my trust now. I don't know whether he will damage my vehicle intentionally while taking out the tint.
I can provide proof/receipt from both almas and mum autoshop for you to compare.
I can provide proof of the message exchanges from faysal. Please look at the other nagative review with the same issue. read more
