I always get my three dogs bathed and add a haircut for my husky. It's hot in Laredo and she is 11 years old so I am looking to make sure she is comfortable. Now if you have any experience with a Husky and their double coat you know you can go short but not too short and you should never go so close that you can see their skin. To my horrible surprise I picked up Maya and her hair was so short you could see her skin. Not to mention she had places where the clippers actually caused damage. You can see pink irritated skin . Also they cut her on her neck. I am absolutely horrified. My sweet girl who loves getting groomed was not herself. I could tell the whole experience had been extremely traumatic. So not only am I looking at potential skin problems, having to buy her a sweater I also worry about her being traumatized!!! So my warning to all Husky parents do not being your fur baby here for a haircut

Last year my eldest, an 8-year-old Malti-poo, had kidney failure and required hospitalization. After a long week with them, he was back to his old self. They were incredibly patient with me (I called in often to check up on him.) The level of attention and care we received was and continues to be unparalleled in Laredo. Laredo Animal Clinic was our THIRD and LAST veterinarian stop in Laredo, and we've stayed because of instances like last year's. Dr. Creamer truly goes above and beyond for her four pawed clients. My husband and I will be moving soon, and we'll be hard pressed to find as good of a veterinarian elsewhere. Tips: - Parking is limited. - Saturdays are exclusively for walk-ins but it gets insanely packed so its best to be first in line. - With an appointment, plan to block an hour out of your day. His teeth and paws were red from scratching and chewing and he was clearly in distress. Degollado (956) 649-2876. This pet hospital in Nuevo Laredo is EXCELLENT and just gave my cat and I the best care I've ever witnessed from any veterinarian clinic. Prior to going to Nuevo Laredo, I stopped by Critter Care with my cat dying in my arms. It was 7:08 pm, and the clinic stated it closed at 8 pm. I described my cat's symptoms to the front desk, and the state of emergency was clearly established. The nurse there then responded by condescendingly remarking on how we walked in 8 minutes past the time they stop taking patients. I said nothing. Then she said, "it sounds like this is an emergency. However, the starting cost is $360 just to see the cat. Are you sure you want/can pay that?". As I sat down to fill out the patient Intake form, the lack of compassion for animals from this establishment dawned on me. I got up and left with my cat. Please make sure that whoever you're trusting with your pet is a person or place that loves animals! I would give zero stars if Yelp allowed me to do so.

Owner did not know how to bond with our dog (she didn't even try). She was afraid of him all throughout shaving its hair, yanked at his legs, and flat out mistreated him (I do not even want to describe how she made our dog stand upright to try to trim his belly)! I thought she would manage the situation after a while. My daughter had to hold our dog all the time, as owner did not want her to leave, at one point she even gave my daughter the trimmer for her to cut its leg hair!! By then I had already been asked to wait outside the room so I didn't know this had happened. The "dip and bath" was three seconds long and the tub was full of fleas and ticks!! Again I was told this by my daughter who witnessed the entire nightmare! The assistant was not of much help either as she was yelled at and ordered to help. Owner finally came out and said she couldn't finish the job. She said my husband could go back and borrow her place and trimmer to finish the job himself! Again, disbelief!! Despite all of this I paid $50! yes $50 was the charge!! owner didn't deserve to get paid but I paid anyway and we rushed out of there heartbroken for our dog (schnauzer and yorkie mix by the way) and in absolute disbelief that this place exists and operates!
