Flu shot clinics are organized, but you can also get the flu shot anytime here. The clinic also accepts patients looking for a family doctor and has an online application for this. Students can automatically have a family doctor here, as insurance is included in their tuition. Keep in mind that you will need to go for an appointment for family history etc before you can start getting regular services. The doctors and nurses are patient and friendly and obviously used to working with students.

( Three times at the Civic and once at OGH) All of the doctors and nurses thought I would require surgery and referred me to Dr. Schachter. She did all the required tests and exam and was the only one to give me a perfect solution that did not require surgery. I am very grateful. I have been to the riverside hospital to see her and never had a long wait.

Her practice is very busy, as are most doctor's practices these days, so you might have to wait for your turn to come up. But that's par for the course these days with our overloaded health care system. And you do have to pay for parking but you have to pay at most doctor's offices and often it's very expensive. At least at Dr. Schacter's office the parking fee isn't very expensive.
