She called me twice on vacation to tell me my dog was involved in the injury of two different dogs in two different incidents. She specified the dogs were playing rough, but no growling or barking or aggressive behavior was involved(and she failed to separate or crate any of them). She discovered that her insurance was no good, so she chose to sue me to cover damages. When we arrived in court she became dishonest and indicated my dog bit the two dogs at the same incident, and that I was in violation of the contract because I did not pay vet bills for the injured dogs. I claimed negligence but negligence could not be used in a contract violation lawsuit. Once you drop your pet off, anything can happen. She is not responsible (and has demonstrated dishonesty) and can claim it is your fault...you won't be there to claim anything different! Buyer beware! I was legally required to pay court costs for this business suing me. I set up a payment plan and notified them as the clerk told me without their attorney specifying', that it would be up to me. I set up a plan to pay in 4 installments and began making payments through bill pay. After she received her first installment she sent the check back and informed me she would be petitioning the court to garnish my wages. For someone who claims to be religious and good, she sure is evil. I am just hoping hat Karma intervenes in the near future...maybe it already has but will take time to reveal itself...

Jewell left a short note each day of what she did and how the cats were each day when she arrived. My cats were happy and content, as if I had never been gone at all. It sure gave me a total peace of mind knowing they were well taken care of while I was gone. I can't thank Jewell enough for all she did during those two weeks and I will not hesitate to ask Diana and Jewell again when I need to leave for a prolonged time period.

Our dog walker has to be someone who is physically strong and also smart and responsible with the way they handle dogs. Terrisa is a pro. She knows what she is doing and we feel completely comfortable leaving her in charge of our furry kids. When we are away, we trust that Terrisa will feed our dogs their special dietary food and give them their proper medication. One time while on vacation, one of our dogs got sick and not only made huge messes all over our place (that Terrisa cleaned up for us without hesitation or complaint) but that also required him to be taken to the vet and acquire medication. Being out the country, my husband and I were in a panic. Terrisa got our dog to the vet right away, got him his meds and nursed him back to health, all while we enjoyed our vacation away. My dogs love Terrisa. They get so excited when they see her. Terrisa is a wonderful dog sitter and a responsible and sensible person. I highly recommend her for any pet sitting or dog walking needs!

I then requested a prescription for her heartworm medication stating I would order it online. After paying my invoice, (which included $3.75 for using my debit card), I left without receiving my prescription. I called them and they said they could not mail the prescription and that I would need to come back in and pick it up when I signed their heartworm waiver (they did not mention this at our appointment). I went back 2 days later, signed the waiver, and again requested my prescription. They stated there would be a $10 charge to write the prescription since I was not ordering it through THEIR website and that I could pick it up tomorrow because they did not have time to write it up. So, the next day I had to go back to them for the prescription! 3 trips for my 1 dog! DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!

After digging out of the yard, the dog was caught by a neighbor and taken to East Side Veterinary Clinic. The clinic contacted the owner and reported she was in critical condition, unable to walk, with a temperature of 104°F. (A dog's temperature can reach 104°F or higher from overheating due to exercise, especially during hot weather or in situations where they are unable to cool themselves effectively. Both of these were factors that day.) They recommended $1,500 in testing or relinquishment of the dog. When the owner's family arrived, The dog walked to them and appeared alert. They paid $220 and took her to their regular veterinarian, who examined her and confirmed she was healthy and able to go home. Contrary to what East Side claims...no police or authorities were ever involved. Based on what I observed, the clinic's assessment did not match the dog's actual condition, and the communication left the owners feeling pressured. Pet owners rely on veterinary clinics for accurate, transparent care, and in this instance, that standard was not met. 8/16/25 UPDATED REVIEW: I was not there at the vet and I am not the daughter of the owner. I was at the same class the two of them were. I overheard the conversation between the owner and East Side. I heard the $1500 quote. No number under $1500 was discussed. It was $1500 for diagnostics that was quoted. My classmate said she "appreciated what was done so far. I need to get eyes on my dog to see how she is for myself". She was very worried for her dog and only spoke with concern, no hostility. The police, IF they were called, never showed up. More empty threats and lies. And they well know they did not offer a refund. They said, "We WERE going to offer a refund but now we are not". So it was rescinded before it was even offered. I have no desire to call and discuss this with anyone there since accurate statements are a foreign concept to their company. However, I will keep responding to the lies that are continuing to be told. And I will be sharing my testimony with anyone who will hear since I live in this community. I happened to stumble across a dog named Finneas through Foster Pet Outreach on PetFinder that I absolutely fell in love with. I immediately filled out the adoption application, and even though their application states they typically prefer adopters to be within a certain distance from them, I took a chance (we live in Wisconsin) and within a day I received a response. I got in contact with Finneas' foster mom (who was very responsive and sweet!) We drove down that week to meet him, and the staff was very helpful and answered all our questions, had all of his vet records available and even provided us some essentials to go home with. Two months later he is the best addition that I could have ever asked for. Overall, we had an amazing experience with this rescue, and I highly recommend!

While talking to the rescue folks I uttered the fateful words "you know, I always thought I'd like to foster..." and that's all it took. They knew a sucker when they saw one. I'm happy to report, dozens of successfully placed fosters and five more foster fails later, I am living my best life. You'll see a few negative reviews here for FPO and I can truly understand, as it can be very disappointing when an adoption doesn't work in your favor. To that I can only respond that as an organization placing dogs whos previous owners have abandoned, neglected and/or abused them, we have to be highly selective in our placements. The animals in our care have already been failed once, twice and sadly, sometimes multiple times. Choices have to be made and because the animals cannot speak for themselves, we have to speak for them and try hard to match their needs to the adopter. And when a particular animal has multiple qualified applicants, someone will always be disappointed. Most are mature enough not to write a bad review because they weren't chosen. The organization runs on only volunteer efforts and donated funds. We lose money in every adoption because we spend extensively on vetting to get the animals in the best health they can be to go to their new homes. Our contract - which every adopter signs - states upfront our fees are non/refundable-which is the standard in the industry. And to Tim B, there was definitely a miscommunication. When you told us of your several upcoming trips and how you wouldn't be ready for a few more weeks/months to adopt, we took that to mean that while you were interested in the dog, you had other previous plans which understandably took priority over the adoption. Like you, we absolutely want what is best for the animal, in fact, it guides our every choice. You'll be happy to know this particular dog found a wonderful home. They also had vast experience with special needs dogs and even better, were ready to adopt at that time.
