There's an employee with long dreadlocks who ignores you & just sits and plays xbox....I even waited a minute after asking for help, acts like I don't exist. After like five minutes he finally got up and acted annoyed that he had to do his job. I wonder how many sales you've lost due to this one pos. This is the shop right next to the pickle ball court. Bought two vape batteries both worked unlike the smoken joe shop I wasted money on two useless vape batteries.

Used to really like this store for its large selection, but slowly started to realize they're not all they are cracked up to be. I bought a Nord that was defective out the box, they wouldn't offer me a return. I've bought multiple pieces of glass that are so poorly made. Bowls that are not straight, glass is all so thin and cheaply made. Every glass I've bought from there has broken in about a week. Bought a "Fuzion" scale from there that ended up being fake and didn't work out the box. They also wouldn't offer a refund. Also very poor customer service. They're not helpful and make you feel stupid when you ask questions. My advice is they should stick to selling disposables and stay out of the glass business. read more

Best prices, best staff, best all around head shop in all of Iowa. The owner is amazing, and will work with you to find exactly what you need. In fact the entire staff is amazing. I love this place but the other day I got a blueberry flavored juice. It literally tastes like booty cheeks. I think they must've mislabeled it because I thought I shit my pants but it was actually just the juice. It tastes like I have two ass cheeks in my mouth and someone farted. I don't blame the shop I blame whoever created the juice. This place does have good stuff but I recommend against blueberry flavored juice. Tastes like ass cheeks on a stick. Went to Barely at All Paradise with hopes of getting a 1600mAh stick-device. The first one that I bought was broken within a day. Granted, it was only $8, so I wasn't too upset. However, the $20 one that I bought next was broken within the next week. I hesitantly bought a 3rd one, and realized my mistake. It broke the 4th day I had it. I HAVE gotten some things that have served me well, however, it's pretty difficult to fuck up a pack of cones or a glass piece. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with the place. They even charged me $58 for something I never bought. I didn't have a receipt (obviously because I didn't buy whatever the almost $60 could've added up to) and they used that against me. Pretty shady. Never had that stuff happen to me at my hometown vape shop. I guess the vape shop I go to doesn't tend to sell garbage. Smokin Hot is the place to go read more

Best tobacco shop in Iowa City by far. Good hours and the staff is super nice but I've gone in a few times and they couldn't answer a couple questions I had about certain brands of shisha which is my only complaint. If you're looking for the basics as far as shisha and most hookah parts, they definitely have it. They have a good selection of Fumari and Starbuzz and a couple of other brands of shisha as well. I feel like the prices for coals are a little high (at least for Coco Nara) compared to what I've seen at other shops, but not too crazy. Bought a piece there made of terrible glass that ended with the bowl breaking the first day i got it. I go in a day later to buy another bowl that breaks that day from barely falling over. I go in to complain about it and get blown off by the guy there who won't do anything but essentially tell me to go screw myself. Terrible customer service and terrible management. They have good prices, but really bad service. It seems they'll only take care of one customer at a time, so if you're just running in for more e-liquid, but the person in front of you is buying a whole new vape and has a bunch of questions, you'll just stand there at the counter like an idiot for 10-15 minutes. You won't get so much as a "hey, I'll be with you in just a minute." Also: they love to blast really bad hip hop very loudly. So your ears will bleed while no one helps you. read more
