My mother-in-law is elderly and getting around with her took more time than expected. Still, we arrived at the staging area and the staff was still very pleasant and accommodating. You can tell they were getting us to hurry because they know the area would be overrun with other tour groups. They really wanted us to have the best time and experience there. And they sat us in a very good spot for the Wednesday audience with the Pope. I would definitely recommend this company.

He is definitely highly recommended. He is an archaeologist as well so he had a lot of fascinating things to share with us. We actually ran into him on three separate occasions in Rome by chance and he was great to talk to each time. The Colosseum tour we took also included the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill (both even more fascinating than the Colosseum in my opinion). The Vatican tour was with Claudia and she was equally as knowledgeable and fun! She obviously knew the folks she needed to to get around in this massive complex without having to wait for anything. The "no-line" entry most tours get has lines here. She had the hookup to get us even past those lines. The tour starts through the Vatican Museum and it was very crowded at the time we were there. She fought to make room for us to get in front of the masses to get a close look at all the things she wanted us to see. It was great to see her genuinely care about our experience. Just about every other tour group we saw in this places had at least 30 people in them. Both tours we took with Real Rome Tours had less than 10. We all had an equal opportunity to experience these beautiful sights with great knowledgable folks who even stuck around to answer any questions we had. They also give great recommendations on restaurants and other places you need to see while in Rome. Gerard was also a pleasure dealing with while booking our tours. He is well organized and gave us a great alternative when we wanted to do the Colosseum Underground tour that wasn't available. It worked out perfectly for us. I couldn't recommend Real Rome Tours any more.

Our driver, Antonello, was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend him if you are thinking about this type of tour. He was so personable, had a lot of great knowledge to share, and fit in all the sights we wanted to see in the 5-hour tour. He knew the places to get out and take pictures and he made the experience in Rome a great one! Julia was our private tour guide at the Vatican. She was absolutely wonderful. She was so animated and shared with us the rooms and pieces she felt were the most important to see with only one day to explore the Vatican. We had such a wonderful time with her. She is one tour guide I will not forget! If you want an above-and-beyond experience at the Vatican, book with Easitalytours and request Julia. You will not be disappointed! This is the best Tour company out there. They are reasonably priced and the tour guides are absolutely top-notch!

Our tour guide was a fabulous artist who knew all the secrets of Rome. My grandparents used to live in Rome, and we've visited many times over the years, so he was put on the spot! And he passed with flying Italian colors. I This tour was a highlight of our trip. Sean and the staff at Angel Tours are professional, helpful, flexible and have great attitudes! We ABSOLUTELY recommend their golf cart tour and will for sure look them up on our next trip. By the way, Sean is a hoot! If you get the chance, invite him to meet up after your tour. He knows how to tell a story, and will entertain you with his wonderful personality. It's easy to see that he really loves his job and his guests.

The agility of the golf cart got us closer to many sites than I think would have been possible with a bus tour. Our guide, Marco, was knowledgeable and engaging. He adjusted the tour to fit our interests and showed us places that were a little off the beaten track, but well worth the visit. He was able to tell us not just the history of various sites but how that history came together and shaped the modern world and the modern city of Rome. Her was also gracious and accommodating in getting everyone back to where they needed to be at the end of the tour.

Rome is a must see city...I just didn't have enough time to do it on my first trip. So what do you think I did when I made it to Rome?.... I dropped my bags at the hotel, I rented an Ebike from Uber and run out into the streets looking for the Colosseum. I really had no idea the location, I put it into the GPS and kept biking, as I was getting closer, I was able to see it from afar... when I finally found it, I was AMAZED... there's also an older structure next to it that caught my attention. The streets leading and around it, are full of people from all over the world, looking at it and taking pictures with it. I was amazed by it, but I didn't go inside on my first visit as it was evening and a bit too late. However, I was able to bike all around it and take pictures. As I saw the sun set on the Colosseum, I was able to see that as the sun hits it's walls, the color changes, it radiates a red hot brick color, which make it look extra beautiful, I hope everyone take time to see the Sun set on the Colosseum, is just an adorable look on it. This was my first Solo trip to Italy and I enjoyed it so much, so many great things about it. I had to ask to another tourist to take my pictures and he actually did a great job... So no worries about traveling Solo to Italy, do it. I did and it was awesome. There's great people all over and very safe.

We came in July 2026 and the weather while very warm was certainly bearable. There are street vendors outside of the colosseum selling water. $3 for 1 bottle and $5 for 2 bottles as of our visit. There is 1 bathroom inside pretty close to the entrance and in the am there was only a short line. After some history you can enter the inner circle where you can get a great view of inside the colosseum and take some wonderful pictures and make memories. 5 stars because anything else would be an injustice.
