We had a lovely stay here. We arrived around 1:30 a.m. and Christian at the front desk was able to help us. He was friendly and figured out how to get us into a room despite the late hour. Breakfast was wonderful as always - the waffles here are our favorite. They also have a decent selection of vegan/vegetarian items on their menu. However you'll want to order early because they sometimes sell out. All the employees are very nice and helpful. Overall great experience, we'd stay here if we came through Atlanta again. Our stay was disappointing, to say the least. Our room smelled strongly of marijuana, making it an unpleasant experience. When we brought this to the front desk's attention, we were told we would not receive a refund if we checked out due to the discounted rate we had received. Our family chose to check out anyway and find another hotel. Aloft's lobbies and common areas are welcoming and well designed, which makes it even more disappointing that the guest rooms are so lackluster. My son and I were in Georgia for a baseball tournament and we needed to book an extra night. Had a free comp so we stayed there. Was our first time at an aloft. First of all it did not disappoint. Staff was friendly, place was clean and super cool. Our room was nice beds were sooo comfy and the showers and free shampoo and conditioner were amazing! They don't offer free breakfast but they do sell food and drinks to order at a reasonable price. Love the vibe, the atmosphere and all perfect for teens and young families. Pool was ok but no complaints. They do have a bar but it was closed because it was a slow Sunday night. If I ever have to go back to Georgia I would stay again. We stayed at the Aloft in Alpharetta, GA. Not impressed. The sink for the bathroom is outside of the shower area, makes it pretty inconvenient. The shower door doesn't shut all the way and leaks everywhere. The bathroom door doesn't lock. Signs every where saying house keeping is done every 3 days, or we can request to have it done before that. Our 3rd day was just a chill day in the hotel but we left the room for a while so house keeping could come in. They never did. We went to the front desk to ask about it and they said they were short house keepers and couldn't do it. We were only given one towel for a family of 4 , staying 5 days. Would've been nice if breakfast was included in the price but it was not. read more

This is a hotel I've stayed at a few times and they seem to offer decent prices for what you get along with being in a nice enough location. They don't offer a real bar (it never seemed to be open) or many other "amenities" here so be prepared to take care of yourself. You will likely need to make a visit to some of the restaurants in the area and there are several chain joints nearby along with some strip malls. There are some options within walking distance while if you drive you have MANY choices. The biggest bonus here is they seem to have really fast Wi-Fi. Overall this is a decent hotel at a decent price. read more

This hotel made me feel unsafe and violated my privacy in a way I've never experienced before. At 1:30 AM, Shanna and management knocked on my door three times and then entered my room without permission while I was asleep. I woke up to my hotel door opening in the middle of the night, something no guest should ever experience. Their reasoning was that "someone smelled smoke" in the hallway. There was no fire alarm, no hallway alarm, no emergency of any kind. Entering a guest's room without consent based on a smell in the hallway is not only unnecessary but also not standard policy at any reputable hotel. Standard procedure in such situations is to investigate common areas, check alarms, or contact the guest directly by phone, not force entry into a private room at 1:30 AM. When I went to the lobby immediately after being woken up, demanding an explanation, I was told it was "policy" to open and enter a guest's room after a few knocks. That is not true - no hotel policy allows staff to enter a locked, occupied guest room in the middle of the night without cause or emergency. This is a major violation of safety, security, and guest rights. To make matters worse, I was told I could only be compensated for one night of my two-night stay. For an incident this extreme, where I felt unsafe, disrespected, and unable to sleep afterward, full compensation is the bare minimum that should be offered. This is the worst customer service and handling of guest safety I have ever seen. I will be escalating this further, but I want to warn other travelers: DO NOT stay here!! read more

Stylish and cute hotel. I enjoyed my stay. Ella was sweet and checked me in with a smile. The location is great if visiting Alpharetta and is close to the interstate. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. Groceries are less than 2 miles away. I missed that breakfast is not complimentary when I booked. I do appreciate that they offer a vegan breakfast sandwich. I like how the sink is not in the restroom with the shower and toilet. An ideal room for friends to share. read more

Extremely disappointed with my experience at the Aloft. I traveled here for work in August. The day prior, I called the hotel to see if I could check-in early the following day so I could change prior to a business meeting. I was told that would be no problem as the hotel was expected to be very slow the next day and rooms would be available. I arrived the following day and upon arrival was told it was a $25 fee to check-in early. This was not disclosed the day prior (which I told the desk clerk) but I had no choice but to pay the fee to be able to get into my room and change for the meeting. The hotel was completely empty except for 2 cars in the parking lot and the hotel clerk sitting at a table in the lobby. I contacted Marriott the next day to let them know that the fee was not disclosed and requesting a refund. After a month and 4 calls to Marriott where I was told the hotel had issued a refund (which I never received), I finally was told they did in-fact not issue a refund and I was transferred to the manager of the hotel. I spoke to the manager and again explained the situation. I found her to be rude and dismissive. She said she would speak to the clerk that was on the night before I arrived. Not surprisingly I never heard back and at this point am just accepting I am out the $25. Outside of this issue, the hotel itself would probably be rated as 3 stars as none of the staff were friendly and the rooms did not seem overly clean. I would not recommend this hotel. read more

We have stayed here once before and our experience was good. Staff is very nice and accommodating. We arrived for a one night stay this time. Room was great, it was a handicapped rooms. I didn't request a handicapped room, but it was a larger room and bathroom. All was well, my husband was laying in bed and I went to move my pillows and there was a bug under the pillow. Now it looked like a lady bug it had a lot of dots on it back, but what puzzled me was what appeared to be a tail or poop coming out of it. My husband went downstairs and told the young woman and she switched our room. No bugs in the next room... So it wasn't a roach, but it was a bug and I don't need to have a bug under my pillow!!! Just like all Alofts (so far) this place is surgically clean. Super friendly staff and all the amenities. It is the BEST hotel bed I have ever slept in. Just the right mix of gooshy and firm. Magically it seems all Alofts have the bed and the awesone pillows. The shower was spacious (I am a prerty big guy) and the spray is pleasantly engulfing. Stay at a motel 6 and get wisps of water, or pay a smidgen more and get clean! I heartily recommend! read more

Do not stay here. DO. NOT. STAY. HERE. Read the reviews, even on the other travel sites and you will see they are BAD (I wish I had before my stay). Upon checking into my room, I noticed the sheets were visibly dirty and stained, with hairs all over the sheets. Every pillow, front and back, had random hairs on them (8 pillows total). The restroom and shower were also visibly dirty with mold/mildew. When I asked to move my room and told the customer service person about the room cleanliness, he apologized and said "I won't tell, if you wont tell"....Come again?? Who says that? Also, their refrigerated food was not kept at the correct temperature. They had hard boiled eggs that were slightly cooler than room temperature. This is a systemic issue with this hotel and the indicates poor management of the hotel. I stayed here for work, but will never return, nor my work colleagues. Rooms have bean bag chairs (not all of them are bean bags.). Signage that makes it easy to navigate. Spacious, well-appointed fitness center. Interesting eats presented in fast casual fashion. I love these hotels but this one has no interest in upholding the name. Hotel and rooms are dirty, you can tell a vacuum hasn't been run across the floor for some time. Even the elevators were dirty, easy to tell with stainless steel walls. The check in experience.... 3 people in the reception booth, and it was more important to all of them to continue their conversation without greeting me or asking me what I wanted to do. I clearly walked in the front door carrying bags, not hard to deduce i'm there to check in. They weren't busy so their conversation could have easily continued after the 2 mins it takes to check a person in. When one of them finally did check me in I could feel the rudeness coming off of her, I could literally sense the fact this person had a problem with me and was making a point to display it in her tone, body language, and choice of words. To that person, hospitality might be a poor career choice for you! This location also doesn't have that aloft smell, if you've stayed at one, you know what I mean. I can forgive that though, but might as well include it in here. What finally did it for me is I went down for coffee today and again, 3 people talking in the reception area, none of them caring in the slightest to greet me or anyone else walking through there, and coffee is bone dry empty. I went to tell them it was empty but I knew my time was better spent just going out to buy some myself. I couldn't take away their precious social time without losing sleep over it. read more

Another successful Aloft stay. Needed a clean room for a quick one night stop where I could comfortably stay with my pup and not worry about parking - Aloft came through again. This is my 2nd stay at an Aloft during the last 3 months and I'll say they have a loyal customer. Parking - easy & ample Checkin - super friendly, informative, quick & simple. They make it so checking in isn't a drag! The person at front desk was wearing her mask. A wonder "Good Evening" quick check if Information on file and boom here's your room key! Room - King bed, great shower water pressure, large work station, fridge, coffee maker, safe, nice sized closet and coolest feature at this one it had a bean bag chair! TV - cool new options allowing you to watch Netflix & Showtime. Nice to be able to stream your own thing in addition to having regular tv. Last but not least the return of complimentary breakfast! Nothing major but you can grab a cup of coffee or tea and muffin/granola bar on your way out definitely a plus before getting on the road for a 4 hour drive! They have great green spaces to walk your pup and oh yes Bliss bathroom products add the cherry on top! read more

This hotel is bare bones with poor customer service. Front desk person had an attitude, remote control needed batteries which the front desk never got for us until the next day so 1 of the 2 nights of our stay we couldn't even watch TV in our room. The pool is also closed because they are waiting on a state permit. Grab and go breakfast was packets of oatmeal, hot water and packaged muffins. And last but not least, the room was semi-clean. This hotel was wonderful! The details alone is amazing. I loved the decor so modern & pretty. The lobby feels so inviting. Pool table, computer, board games, cards, even a jumbo jenja waiting for u in lobby. Lounge chairs & a full bar too. I arrived after a 12hr drive and was greeted right away and was even checked in a few hours earlier than the actual checkin time which I definitely appreciated because the drive was draining. It was my first time in Georgia & I loved my time here. This hotel location is close to soooo many different store locations, drive thrus, restaurants, liquor store, & even a mall. Highway was very close as well. Next time I visit this hotel is my only choice because it was just great! My only complaint is the outdoor pool is located in the back of the hotel & unfortunately the sun doesn't shine on it often it's mostly shade & who wants to get in the pool w no sun? & firmer pillows they were too soft. Bed was comfy though. Also a lot of cable channels. If you need a microwave use one in lobby. read more

Location is great and the price is pretty consistent with the area. Now for the downsides...I've stayed here numerous times while in town and it's slowly gone down hill but I guess this was the weekend it crumbled. So for starters I booked through Expedia got to the hotel and was charged for the room a second time, when she was only supposed to be charging the 20$ incidental. I get text notifications from my account luckily so I caught it immediately. The front desk female clerk is super sweet but, had no clue how to fix it. Currently still waiting for that charge to drop off. Secondly, there was either blood or chocolate sauce or something above the bed. Then the bathroom door was damaged not sure if it's a building flaw or what but, you have to Incredible Hulk the door open and i guess someone damaged it before. Dirty hotel and room had several issues including dirty soiled towels in drawers. GM S. Walsh is most unprofessional mgr I've ever dealt with she makes promises and never follow thru, resolution is still pending since 8/31 after much flw up in Sept & AGM Shelly in Nov took over resolution and no better. They offered due to issues to refund 1 night star wautung since 9/1/2021. They have never contacted me I'm always flw up & have been more than patient I was told 7-10 days initiall to process refund it's now over 100 days; if you sat your doing something you need to honor it! I am not enjoying my stay at this hotel. When I first checked into the hotel the room had the air conditioning turned off and it's so modern that I thought they sent me to a room that wasn't fully furnished. I immediately turned on the air condition and after 10 minutes it still had not turned on. It's summer in Atlanta y'all!! It was extremely hot. They move me to another room, no problem, but I didn't like the inconvenience. The next issue is it's 1030 at night, in the middle of the week and there is techno music bumping. I called down to the lobby and they said they would turn it down but they have not, and it's been about 20 minutes. Lastly, my shower water temp is about 70% as hot as it probably should be and only one elevator is working. There's free coffee in the morning and comfy pillows though. read more

A nice hotel, new, clean, comfortable and a great staff. Rooms are a little smaller than at most Starwood properties that I have stayed at but a desk, bed and washroom is all I need and they are in the room. Outside the room they have a nice snack bar, a well stocked bar and a fair sized lobby. Now to my favorites the gym and pool. They are both very nice. The pool is new big enough to swim laps and very clean. They even have a grill in the pool area. The gym has standard hotel gym equipment that is new and high quality. There are a few points that I didn't appreciate. First is the Internet I spent more time logging on than using it. It required logging on every few minutes. Second is the dark hallways. Third is lack of dark chocolate at the store. Minor but my wife likes it and most of the hotels we stay at carry it. I don't like leaving the hotel just to buy some chocolate. Had a very frustrating experience with the management team at ALOFT. Nasir Joachim, Assistant General Manager at ALOFT was extremely unprofessional and rude when I asked for explanation as to why my previously confirmed reservation was canceled just couple of hours before I checked in. I was on business travel and wanted to book ALOFT since it is close to my office. They were overbooked and moved my reservation to a different place a few miles away. When I requested if they would reconsider, Nasir responded by saying that he will not be able help me and "does not care" what company or group I belong to. I have brought a group of m my employees to stay at the hotel. When making the group reservation I was assured I will receive my meeting planner points. After the group check out I have contacted the hotel over 12!!! Times, as well as Marriott as they never credited my points. Spoke to the sales person who assured me I'll get points and recovery points as it ha been over 3 months, spoke to the GM who promised she'll contact me back and I heard nothing!
