Pool was ok but no complaints. They do have a bar but it was closed because it was a slow Sunday night. If I ever have to go back to Georgia I would stay again. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing due to the lack of communication and follow-up. We understand places get busy, but not returning calls and then suddenly being fully booked after initially confirming availability is poor customer service. Their reservation system also clearly needs improvement. An online reservation model would make much more sense because the current phone-based process is not working effectively. Although I've enjoyed tea here on a couple of different occasions, the experience is not astonishing enough to return after this reservation experience.

The American Legion is members only, but they have many activities open to the public. I have been to multiple American Legions around the US and this one has a great crowd and they are very welcoming. They also have a full schedule of activities. Many American Legion allow you to smoke, this one does not inside, but offers a patio for those that smoke. The Legion hall is open to the public for dance lessons in the evening, Friday-Sunday, for a $10 charge, club 201. They are also open for Bingo 1-2 nights a week. The American Legion has multiple generations. As for the Pokemon crowd, the Legion does get a good crowd and they'll protect their people and property. Second, hearing some the members came out of the bush, they were most like marines, and personally - I would give that story a three or four star rating.

They made every effort to make us and our quests feel welcomed and comfortable. They let us in early to decorate, and allowed our board members to come in day in advance and bring in some donated goodies for this event. This venue is perfect for so many type of functions, either private or corporate, and it is clean, calm, asessable, classy, and just inviting with a nice view out to the nature. The bar was conveniently located by the lobby and next to the "mingling area." Parking lot has several handicap parking spaces right at the front entrance, and the layout of the parking is practical. The only complaint, and unfortunately it's a significant one, is that the parking is terrible. If it's at all busy you will have to park a few blocks away and walk.
