My nephew is growing out of his dinosaur phase, so it's not as easy as buying anything dino-related for him anymore. It was great being able to walk through and explore all the different educational toys. The planetarium projector is what caught my eye and would make an awesome gift. To be honest, when I came in - it was mostly young adults shopping for themselves... and we were all on the hunt for the same thing. Unfortunately for us, the Sonny Angels were sold out and they did not have any information on when they would get in another shipment. They did have a tons of smiski and calico critters --- which I know a lot of people are collecting nowadays. With two carts filled with various items from Sanrio, BT21, Pokémon and even Sakura themed gift sets. Mystery boxes that are hard to find, items from Japan and/or Korea it was very interesting shopping here. Not sure how long they'll be here though said they will be back at the end of March. One item I did get are a pack of stickers for only $5 with inspirational messages that will certainly brighten anyone's day. The ladies here are sweet and since some of the items they have here are difficult to find in these areas it's a welcome touch here in Windward Mall and hope to see them in late March. Thank you!

Nanstar is definitely a rare and unique store since it features craft items done by crafters! Most of the items in the store were lovingly made and assembled by folks with a rare gift of creativity. There's a good selection of items ranging from pillows and handbags to small figurines, all for very reasonable prices. Since it's a crafters' store, there's always something unique to see. Only caveat is if you like it, better pick it up before someone else does. My wife is 3 for 3 and every time she visits, she gets something. A fun store with many items that would make good presents for birthdays, Christmas, baby showers or any occasion. Great store and highly recommend stopping by!

We were on our way back to the elevator to return to our car and leave Kahala Mall. Just then the animal hand puppets in the window caught our sweetie's attention. I know from the past and from my own experience it's worth it to let a grandchild or yourself enter even on a whim to seek simple joy---just to browse or find something delightful: okay just go inside and look. She found something for herself and her little brother. Each was Less than $10. After paying she spotted a tray of mood rings by the register. For $2.99 it was like the happiness we got way back when for inserting 5 cents or a quarter and getting a round bubble gum or a few square ones out of those put the coin in and turn the crank machines. The male employee even squeezed the adjustable butterfly mood ring to fit her tiny ring finger. Such a nice guy. After that she said we didn't need to go to buy her new shoes for school, just go back to my house. It's so very cool to see the wonder that lights up a child's eyes and hear them say Thankyou and mean it.

Their selections of toys, especially ones that encourage a child's interest in STEM, is pretty decent. They also have a good amount of the toys that are trending at any given point in the year (Pokemon (figurines and cards) as well as Bakugan). I also appreciate their selection of nostalgic toys such as lava lamps and plasma balls! Their prices are higher than what you would see on Amazon or Walmart or Target; however, I can imagine they need to factor in shipping costs and their rent at Kahala Mall. I also purchased a second coin collection book for my reference. Another book on using Lemons, salt and baking soda. I observed a small leak by the clearance racks. This section was blocked off by buckets a plastic bags. I hope the upcoming bad weather doesn't cause any more damage. Please support this great business!

I do, sad they are gone) and in Don Quixote before they finally settled at this current location in Kakaako a few yrs ago. Just an fyi their parking is limited here and is pretty tight. Just like their Pearlridge location, this location sells an assortment of used and maybe even some hidden new books, movies, cds, toys, etc. Some of them have very good value/cost, but just remember to always double check your prices (I once found two copies of the same dvd, one was $5 the other was $7). The service is also very good here, their employees are nice and they handle their buyback program very efficiently. Just be advised that they pretty much give pennies on the dollar, so you might not make much money here. But it's good if you just want to purge some stuff and if you're in the area.

The owners genuinely care about their customers. They are extremely friendly and personable. They still have Funkos, but have expanded to other toys such as Warhammer, various Star Wars toy lines, and even their own 3D printing items. And they carry kodamas! The store is organized, but also feels like a treasure chest. They found a good niche and offer an alternative get unique gifts that kids of all ages will like, but not the same as what you'd get at Target. Great place to get gifts for goodie bags too. Just a great Kaneohe institution that I hope will be here for years to come.

Newly opened since March what a fantastic place that support a bunch of small local business here as it's completely locally owned and a few I've seen at select expo, farmers market and craft fairs is conveniently found here. Here you can find items for everyone clothing, home decor, stickers, and accessories and I was finding myself oohhh and ahhhhh-ing with each item. Come check them out as they do have a great return policy as well though all items I got instantly when as gifts and a nice splurge for myself as I do love love love to support small local business and seeing the creativity is so heartwarming.
