Finding Elite Fitness Hawaii changed everything. Now, thanks to Kepa and his team, I look forward to workouts, find myself looking for ways to fuel my body better rather than crash diet, and have a newfound confidence in the gym. If you find yourself hesitant to sign up, my advice would be just do it. Sometimes taking charge of your life means getting the right help. After years of trying every diet and every workout program available, nothing can compare to working with a professional who takes a personalized approach to your fitness and health. Not only did Kepa help me loose an extremely stubborn 20 lbs, he also helped me strengthen my body through a functional approach that helped me heal old injuries and prevent future ones. Two years before finding Elite Fitness Hawaii, I had a back injury. As an Active Duty military member, this was potentially detrimental to my career. I was able to get by going to physical therapy, but going to the gym again and lifting weights was an overwhelming thought for me, not to mention running. However, when I met with Kepa he made me feel confident I could do it and gradually introduced exercises at my level. Now I'm running again and lifting weights beyond what I imagined was possible. I'm in the best shape of my life and we're not done yet! It's been life changing, and worth every penny.

I have trained at Elite Fitness for over 5 years now. Before starting with Kepa, I contacted…read moreseveral different personal trainers and Kepa was the only one who got back to me immediately to discuss my fitness goals and to schedule an in person consultation. Not only is Kepa passionate about fitness, he is passionate about helping his clients. His training extends beyond exercise and includes educating clients on nutrition and lifestyle changes. He and his team work with clients at all fitness levels and will modify exercises as needed to accommodate each client's individual ability. Having a personal trainer to guide me through each workout is invaluable since it helps me focus on proper form so that I can get through each workout safely and because each workout is fun and never the same. Elite Fitness is a great place for anyone looking to start or continue their fitness journey!!

I met Bill Maeda thirteen years ago. Our first encounter is a pretty amazing story that we both…read morelove sharing with people! I was at home on a Sunday afternoon, lying on the couch, procrastinating while watching TV, deciding whether or not to go to hit the gym that day. All of a sudden, this totally ripped, super cool looking Japanese guy appeared on this Spy Series television show, and I got immediately inspired and decided at that exact moment that I needed to stop procrastinating and get off the couch and go work out. I left the house and walked to the gym. I took the escalator up and as I got off at the top, I literally bumped into this totally ripped, super cool looking Japanese guy and realized that it was the same guy I had just seen on TV ! We have been friends ever since, and Bill has been my exclusive trainer since then. What I love about being trained by Bill is that he knows the importance of incorporating NEW things into your workout realm every few months. It has set the bar high for me every year of the thirteen that I have been blessed to call Bill my friend and Trainer. Bill was the first person I recall to ever say the words"kettle-bell" in Hawaii ! I am so grateful to him for always re-callibrating my whole program and way of thinking every few months since I started training under him. It keeps things from getting stale and routine and well... boring ! The body and brain really only respond and change when we give them new and challenging things to do, and in my opinion, no one teaches those principles while incorporating that theory through fresh and challenging training sessions better than Bil Maeda. Here we are all these years later, and Bill i s still inspiring me, as he did that day on TV, to get off that couch and get a great workout in every day !

I was first introduced to Bill Maeda, the man behind FitPro, two years ago by a good friend who had…read morebeen working out with Bill for several years. My first question to him was, "How can you have worked out the with same trainer for 3 years and not be bored?" My personal history is riddled with workout regimens that have come and gone because, in the end, they just get boring. Bill has kept things fresh for two years, with the goal of making me "unbreakable" -- strong and injury-free. We started with foundational exercises (push-ups, pull-ups, planks, step-ups, lunges, twisting core exercises, etc.) to make sure that I had a solid base of strength before moving on to more dynamic movements and heavier weights. At every step of the way, Bill focused on teaching strict form for every exercise. I share his belief that maintaining good form, with light or heavy weights, ensures that one gets the most out of every exercise and avoids injury. In the last two years, Bill has mixed in kettlebells (thruster, long cycle, snatch), traditional power lifting (squat, bench, deadlift), punching & kicking, sandbags, weighted swinging clubs, body weight movements, and a variety of isometric exercises. I participate in a variety of other sports and events (soccer, triathlons, obstacle races, endurance events), and Bill designs my workouts to help me prepare specifically for them.
