I am still waiting for my refrigerator that was supposed to be delivered by 8 PM today and it is now 6:30 PM. This is my second attempt to get my refrigerator delivered to me and they didn't bring it upstairs the first time because they said they didn't have enough manpower to carry it, even though they were two big strong men. I am expecting four men tonight and still no one is here. I would not rate these even one star because of the poor service I have been receiving ever since I made my purchase. The overly obese woman who was one of the two deliverers refused to walk more than 10 feet. They turned around to return the appliance to Costco. I just carpeted my home and asked the movers if they co take off their shoes when entering my home. they said it was a security issue and they needed to leave their shoes on. I don't understand why a professional moving company who's in and out of peoples homes in Hawaii doesn't provide their workers with disposable shoe covers or booties to wear. I've had pest control, plumbers, electricians in my home and they all either take off their shoes or wear shoe covers. why not Aloha Isle Moving? If I could leave no stars, believe me I would! This is the worst company ever! Unfortunately, Home Depot has a contract with them for all home deliveries so I was without options. I've addressed this with the general manager of Home Depot and got no where. I ordered a 16' garage door to be delivered to my residence. I live at the end of a cul-de-sac and have a long narrow driveway with palm trees on one side and a fence on the other. I advised the driver that he could leave the door at the end of my driveway and I could carry the individual pieces up to the house my self, but he was confident that he could maneuver his way up the driveway. I must admit he was off to a good start, but mid way through he failed to raise the pallet high enough and damaged the antenna on my wife's car. I informed him of such and told him I would be filing a claim for damages. After he departed I took photos of the damaged antenna as well as downloaded security camera footage that recorded the actual damage occurring. I then contacted the company and was transferred to Sheri K. the Household Goods & Home Delivery Operations Supervisor. She asked for my information and details of the damage along with requesting I send the evidence I had collected. Her next request was a little strange to me and I had to ask my auto insurance agent why she would ask for my automobile policy information since this wasn't my fault nor did it have anything to do with a motor vehicle accident. My agent told me to be warry and that if they tried to turn the claim around on me that he would be flagged and they would pursue legal action against them. A few days to a week later I got a call from a gentleman from their insurance company and after verifying the information I previously provided he said that all was in order and Aloha Isle Moving would cut me a check. That was weeks ago! I then reached out to Sheri since I assumed that she would have some knowledgeable information as to the status of my reimbursement. Once again... let down by this inept company! Here's her response: "I am sorry I don't know who handles it once I complete the paperwork on my end I pass it on. I know that there is a lot of people that need to sign any check request before a check can be cut. That is how the company procedure works here." Seriously?!?!? What a joke!!! I'm going to give it a few more days and then I'm going to make some calls to management to make every attempt at amicably getting my reimbursement before starting a small claims lawsuit. Aloha Isle Movers were scheduled to deliver our Home Depot fridge and range. Was told they may deliver any time between 8 am - 8 pm, would call 15 minutes before delivery. They delivered the fridge but said (contrary to Home Depot), that the range was not in the pickup area. Delivery of the range was rescheduled in September. This forced us to pick up the range ourselves because out tenant was moving in prior to the new delivery date. Gave the company a poor review to Home Depot recommending Royal Hawaiian Movers instead. read more

They lied on my delivery multiple times and "rescheduled" it multiple times. After waiting 3 months they said they can't deliver on my street. When I asked if I could simply go to their warehouse and pick my item up myself they told me I'm not able to do that without getting in contact with Costco. This is the company that Home Depot uses to deliver their appliances on Kauai and now that we have replaced every major appliance in our house through HD, they obviously don't care about keeping our business anymore. Back in June, AIM delivered our washing machine and after we asked if they could take their shoes off because we didn't want them tracking their dirty shoes through our house where our 4 y/o lives & plays, instead of offering to put something down, they immediately became rude, disrespectful & misogynistic. They threatened to leave my washing machine in my driveway because they said it was a "free installation" and while yes, I didn't pay for it, Home Depot, the company that I bought the washer from did, it wasn't just some friend or family "helping me out". I immediately contacting the GM of AIM and was told that this was not the norm and was apologetic but Home Depot didn't care, Aloha Isle Moving is receiving zero consequences for their horrible behavior. read more

We used Aloha Isle Moving, Inc in July of 2013 to relocate from Kauai to CA. While my husband and I have moved over one dozen times (including international moves overseas), this move was by far the worst one we ever experienced. Sheri, the Office Manager was great, and the majority of the staff on Kauai were respectful. However, much of the moving staff did not have the training, knowledge and/or experience to pack, load and handle artwork, antiques, fine furniture, wood and glass. We had major damage/complete destruction to some items and the insurance claim was well over $5,000. (The claim process was slow and painful - WK Webster (Overseas) Ltd handled the claim.) Specifically, Aloha Isle Moving, Inc did not properly wrap (or wrap items at all). Plastic packed on top of wooden items destroyed the finish of the wood and many other items were nicked, scratched, chipped or broken. Two custom desks were put at the bottom of lift vans and overloaded - one desk was completed destroyed and the other had legs and a side broken off of it. Artwork was placed on its side; glass was broken and one charcoal over watercolor was badly damaged. Packing tape was placed directly on a gold covered mirror frame, thereby removing the gold leaf when the tape was removed. There were dents to my granny's hope chest, dings in a bench, chair, and ottoman. There were other damages we didn't even claim. One employee did have the experience to pack crystal, china, dishes and those items arrived without damage. The moving days were a nightmare. One highlight of the moving days included seeing the movers set up open mattress boxes on the stairs - intending to slide boxes down the staircase instead of carrying the boxes down. We caught the movers bouncing a "fragile" box down the stairs and immediately put a stop to that stupidity. If you want to have a good move, pack yourself or sell everything and don't bother trying to move it. (We packed ourselves to move to Kauai and had NO damage.) There are limited moving company options on Kauai; we could not even get call backs or a timely response from the other major moving company. read more

They now have the contract with Home Depot. We have been having appliances delivered to our third story condo since the store opened in 2003. They will not deliver to our address at Hanalei Bay resort. There are over 50 private units here. They charged us for installation and haul away, which is impossible for a pair of 70 year olds To do themselves. After a week of waiting for delivery , We were abruptly informed this morning that they had never heard of the place and would not come. Well they didn't but reported to Home Depot nobody was here to accept delivery. I will be contacting HD corporate in Atlanta GA tomorrow. We were going to tip the delivery team $50 each. We have never had a problem getting anything delivered here. Be Aware Home Depot was also misinformed that HBR would not accept deliveries from Home Depot. Impossible to get anyone to answer the phone and I don't think they have a manager there on sight. Gordon in appliances is trying to help us. My move from Kauai to the mainland was an absolute nightmare and the culpability for the negligence and carelessness rests with Aloha Isle Moving . I notice that others have had a similar experience so rather than detail every mistake and oversight this company made and their total lack of customer service and accepting responsibility for their poor performance , the best advice I can provide: NEVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE . To put my horrific experience into perspective , Matson , the shipping company who was also culpable for the leaking container , accepted responsibility and worked with me to provide some financial relief from my multiple losses They would not accept their share of the moving fees and instead the company gave that fee to me . Aloha Isle Movers , accepted their full payment of $7110.00 for a move that cost me $175,000.00 in damages .Matson clearly stated that Aloha Isle Movers , who packed my container, could have prevented the disaster had they returned the obviously defective container to Matson before the packing commenced . Despite the catastrophic results , Aloha Isle Moving never once contacted me with an apology or any financial relief . read more
