I asked to speak with the owner, and was surprised when I was hung up on. I called him back and back and pleaded for them to help me relieve the pain of the affection. From what I underssevere as the one I had need to be addressed, otherwise they can become a hazard for the rest of the body. When I mentioned this to the receptionist she laughed. She laughed and said whatever. And then hung up. Now the work that the dentist did on my mouth over the past three years, has left me with what is called chronic ulcers. The surrounding teeth or chipped by the dentist and these chips caused white painful sores on the bottom of my tongue. Sores it to this day have not healed. Sores that the dentist ignored, until I asked him about them, and he referred me to someone else. Nothing was done to alleviate the pain from the sores, sores that I still have to this day. Chronic is caused by the dentist by his work, and were not treat it. I was under the understanding that if the Dennis knew something was wrong with something in your mouth, they have the obligation to tell you. At Family Legacy Dental this is not true. The dentist is there to visit with the nurses, the dentist is there too except Medicaid, did not except the fact that the price they receive is lower. The dentist does not work with people who are individuals without support systems and have disabilities like myself and turning us onto the street with a dangerous infection which ultimately required me to go to a doctor, who looked at it, said that the gums were infected, and gave me an antibiotic. He then referred me to a dentist in cares, one Dr. Wiest in Provo. To make a long story short, this dentist does not care about the patients the owner of this practice does not care about the patients the receptionist and the nurses, all of the same type age and ethnicity, do you not care about the patients. A dentist who could have written me a script and sent me on my Way, chose to allow me to leave with an infection the size of a golf ball, very close to my eye sinus and was actually growing to the other side of my face, with that too bad so sad, and a message from the owner which said we do not want to treat you again and you are no longer welcome in our practice. They will not release my entire records to me, even though I paid for them, obviously, they are going to give me copies of papers that I still have that don't really explain anything other thanThe work that they did on my mouth. They would not give me the x-rays, and they would not entertain for even a second helping me. He caused me grief, and the dentist or the owner neither one of them had the courage to confront me one on one. They let the staff tell me. The staff laughed when I mentioned how dangerous my infection was, and the Doctor Who finally did treat me and my family doctor told me that a dentist who operates an office like that is there for the money not for the health of the patients melts. He said it's a shame that that dentist is allowed to practice, and that everybody on Medicaid is basically forced to use that dentist because of the limited amount of doctors that would except Medicaid. I admit I did change several appointments two different times I did have the Covid which required me to change two or three appointments, and then my insurance changed in January which left me in the dark as to whether or not he could still be my dentist. In an emergency situation he chose to not help me, even though all he would've had to do was write a prescription for an antibiotic. I believe this dentist is prejudiced against those who use Medicaid, because he does not receive his listing price for what he is doing. The owner, doesn't care about anything but collecting money that isn't covered by insurance. I appreciate the fact that the Dennis time is valuable, I know his school is expensive, and I know the owner has a business to run. However, they are authority figures, working in a practice where people are desperate for help. We stated we were willing to pay out of pocket. She said she couldn't book us unless I called insurance and unless we had a PPO insurance. I told her about their online statement saying this was a place we could call for a dental emergency in Utah and she had no idea what I was talking about. I even read her the phone number which was the office number and she wasn't even sure it was their own number. Office staff needs to be trained on what services they offer and if you only take clients with specific insurances and certain coverages fine, but please list that in your website and included in your "Emergency dentist" ad to avoid wasting time.

I do recommend them 100% I don't feel pressured at all to get services done either. Their teeth cleaning is good. They don't polish your teeth like other offices I have been to in the past. They do give you option to watch Netflix during your procedure. Which is cool if you need a distraction. And they give complimentary facials after cleaning. Also call for correct office hours. I started coming here about 9 months ago. I worked at a facility with children with mental health complications, it was a group home. I was assaulted by one of my students and broke two of my teeth. I had to have a crown put on one and a tooth pulled, an implant placed and then the new crown put on the implant. When I first started coming to Riverton Dental it was great. They helped me immensely with Workmans Comp. I called them when everything first happened and they said they had worked with Workmans comp before. They did a majority of the work at Riverton Dental, I had my Implant placed at Salt Water Dental. Mandi told me that those offices work together when implants are placed. I loved Salt Water Dental. They are beyond kind there, I even confided in Dr. Jensen about what was going on at Riverton Dental. He apologized on their behalf and asked me to give them another chance. That he goes from Salt Lake to Riverton Dental for his work and wouldn't go anywhere else. Come to find out the reason he was telling me this is because is he the owner of both Riverton Dental and Salt Water Dental. Now getting to the real issues. Lindsay called me Monday the 17th to make an appointment to get the crown placed on my implant for Wednesday the 19th of February, I asked her if she had any sooner appointments because I was beyond excited and she said no, I asked her to call me if she had any cancelled appointments because I live close to the office and would like to get in ASAP. She was kind and told me yes. Wednesday came and I got a call first thing in the morning, I thought they were calling me to tell me to come in early. It was Mandi. She was letting me know that she was not going to place the crown because my workman's comp had not paid her. She was not able to get ahold of him and they were not calling her back. I ended up asking her to give me workman's comp phone number and I called and they picked up first ring. We ended up three waying Mandi, he let her know that she had not sent in any of the bills and if she sent him the bills he would get a check out the same day for they to place the implant. She thanked him and hung up. I called Mandi back. She still said she is not going to place the crown until she got payment and a few other things she said to me that was uncalled for was "Its your fault that insurance has not paid me, they are your insurance and your problem not mine." another thing, one of my teeth were in the process of decaying, so I think that is one of the reasons it broke as easy as it did but she said "We both know that break didn't happen at work and you are lucky that workman comp is paying for that" if you work for a dental office why would you say something like that? I didn't even get an apology for it. Just so that she knows everything that happened to me is a video tape at my work and they can see it broke my teeth. We had great video cameras and they took pictures after and sent them to my "insurance" I fully recommend Dr Jensen at Salt Water, however I do not recommend Riverton Dental. I ended up going to a different office to have the implant placed. That office was great. They were the one that told me more about what was going on Riverton Dental and how many complaints they are getting. We actually had a conference call with Dr. Jensen. He ended up releasing the tooth to the new dental office. He did say a couple things that stood out to me that was a little bit upsetting. He said "We need to give her the tooth and put this down as a bad experience and cut ties" He is a great dentist but he needs to know what is going on in his other offices. If it was me as the owner I would want to know what was going on. Mandi did tell me as well if I wrote this review that she was going to "challenge" the review. She can try to challenge the review but what I know what my experience was.

The techs are super fun (Andrea +Aimee) and make your visit even better. I not only get cosmetic work done, but my regular cleanings as well ( Jessica + Maryanne) and they're great at what they do. They've been in business for awhile, but the atmosphere feels like home and that's what matters most to me. This isn't an ordinary dental office, its like a little family that's ready to help you with your dental needs. You can't go wrong if you come here !

We love the fact that Dr Kayne is able to take care of all our dental needs within their office without the need of a secondary doctor for root canals and crowns. Best...they have a massage chair while you wait for crowns! We have had work done by both doctors at the practice and they are top notch. Awesome chair side manner and a real desire to make you comfortable while they work. Their entire office staff are amazing to work with, are super friendly and are amazing at reminders and keeping all the financials transparent so there are no "surprise" bills or charges.
