I keep wanting to come back for lunch and keep forgetting how amazing their lunch menu looks (cheeseburgers, Asian style chicken salads, club sandwiches etc etc). Anyway, back to breakfast! Great coffees, drip pot coffee or lattes etc in all the flavors. There is just something about their pancakes here. I don't know what it is but they are the perfect balance of airy and light, but still very substantial. My husband and I often share the California omelette and split it along with the pancakes on the side and it is perfectly portioned for the two of us. My kids love the waffles, French toast and we just recently tried some tater tots on the side which were amazing! Also, what cute presentation! The staff here are always so friendly. It's a casual kind of vibe with plenty of outside seating which is a huge plus for us when compared to some of their other locations. We will keep coming back! read more

I would not feel safe returning with anyone who is gluten free. We came here on Labor Day and I will admit they were busy, with a line out the door since not many breakfast spots were open. With that said, my partner was so excited to order the gluten free belgian waffles! The individual taking our order even repeated it back to us to confirm. When her waffle arrived and so did my pancakes, we began eating as normal. After she ate about a quarter the waffle, the individual who took our order came out asking if she ordered pancakes or a waffle. He stated that the pancakes he was bringing out were gluten free but the waffle she had already eaten had gluten. He did offer to make a gluten free waffle since that is what she originally ordered but since the gluten free pancakes were already there, she took those. There was not much of an apology from the server which makes me think they quite didn't understand the impact of what had just happened. The Impact: We couldn't leave the restaurant for another 30 minutes because my partner proceeded to throw up twice in the bathroom due to the gluten exposure. When we were able to leave the restaurant and parking lot, we had to cancel the rest of our plans for the day due to the GI distress she experience. What was supposed to be breakfast to start our day, had quickly ruined the rest of our day. I am sharing this to explain the impacts of serving gluten to someone who is gluten free or even worse if celiac. One recommendation I could provide would be adding labels to the plates in the kitchen. I know this occurred on a busy day but when you have gluten free menu options listed, you are making a commitment to safely serving them regardless of how busy you are. I wish I was writing a different review right now because the rest of the food was pretty good but I will never risk my partners wellbeing eating here again. read more

Popped in here on a Sunday around Noon. It was busy as you'd imagine, but we found a table. My wife had the Chorizo Scramble with potatoes. She liked the scramble, but the potatoes were nothing special. I tried the Kailua Pork & Cabbage with rice and I swapped the macaroni salad for fresh fruit. It was very good and something I'd order again. Portions for both orders were good sized for 2 adults. My only complaint is the timing on the food. Decided to try this place...Food came out cold. Tropicana orange juice, not freshly squeezed. Ordered Huevos Ranchero's and the sauce they add is so cold, it made the entire meal cold. Potatoes were drenched in grease & mushy. Bacon is full of grease like it was cooked hours ago & sitting in the grease. Loved our experience first here! Ordered at the counter with a patient young man. We got the hibachi steak with fries and a side salad & the loco moco with hamburger patty to share. It was just enough food for the 3 of us! Husband, myself and a 11yo son. The hibachi steak was 10/10, flavorful with mushrooms. Fries were perfect in a cute basket. Salad was delicious with almonds. My son who doesn't care for salad and mushrooms devoured it. Loco moco was good. The hamburger patty was not very flavorful but it was still overall good. Will try it with a different meat next time! Food is good. Had the pork omelette with home fries & choco chip pancakes. Service is good except they charged me $2.50 to upgrade my pancakes to mini choco chips. You can get two platesized pancakes as a side with their omelettes. Their omelettes actually look like scrambles. Omellette with choco pancakes cost $19 before tax or tip. The restaurant was busy when we came, but we were lucky to find a seat inside! It's located in a shopping plaza so there's plenty of parking options! You order up front and then take a number. We ordered the breakfast burrito and an Ube pancake with meat lovers omelette combo. The burrito was lacking in seasoning, but was better with the salsa provided. The ube pancakes were definitely the star of the meal and highly recommend getting their pancakes (as it's referred to in their name)!! The omelette was also super flavorful as well! I wish they had an Aloha Stacks near me because their kahlua pork breakfast burrito is one of the better things I've had for breakfast all year! Came here super early around 8am because of some business I had in town and thank goodness they open at 6:30am. I got an Iced Hawaiian latte with oatmilk and it has that nutty floral taste to it that feels reminiscent of Hawaii. Truly one of the better renditions of a Hawaiian coffee and it's not too sweet. Give it a good mix and it will be a great way to start the morning. The breakfast burritos were HUGE and you can choose whatever meat you'd like inside. I chose the kahlua pork and trust me, this is one of the best decisions you can make here. It also came with a green salsa that wasn't too spicy along with refried beans and tortilla chips. I'd say you can split the burrito for 2 people because of how loaded they were. The kahlua was soft and parts of it were crunchy which added this fun texture to the burrito. The potato, egg, and cheese inside really complimented the pork flavor as well. My only critique is that kahlua pork can sometimes feel a bit bland, so more salsa is the way to go. I got too excited and started eating right away so my pictures are of a half eaten plate. Ordering was quick and you pay upfront which is nice so you don't have to wait for the bill. The servers were attentive. The atmosphere was Hawaiian themed and just overall made breakfast a bit more special. Lots of parking and the bathrooms are clean. read more

The type of service is here is a mix of table dining and casual service. You order at the counter, take a number, and wait for a table. During a busy weekend time, you might be waiting for patrons to finish eating to snag a table or waiting for tables to be cleared by the waiters/waitresses. They do encourage that you wait to get your number before saving a table but nobody really monitors that. We were lucky to get a table just as a group was leaving. The food was good but not excellent. The rice on the loco was dry, the meat patty was hard and chewy, and we wish there was more gravy to soak the dry rice. The only redeeming part were the soft fluffy eggs on top. The Ube coconut pancakes were great, very moist and flavorful with Ube at every level. I think next time I would go for a different savory dish and skip the loco moco. read more

I was bummed that my ube latte was luke warm; they have oat milk substitute. Burrito (huge portion and pretty good taste) had bacon when I asked for no meat. They can substitute for the vegan option Just Egg. Salsa was pretty good. If you try to get their attention behind the counter and there's no cashier, expect the staff to ignore you. They do clean up the tables about 20 minutes upon table vacancy or upon your request. This place is a must when it comes to breakfast/brunch! It's an order-first-then-sit restaurant, which I actually enjoy and appreciate because of the autonomy of choosing where you want to sit. It does get crowded like any brunch place does on the weekends but it's so worth it. We got the chicken katsu waffles and loco moco with corned beef hash. Everything was sooo yummy and had big portions. I even had to take some home! The iced ube latte was also a great addition. Creamy sweet and strong--just how I like it. The chicken katsu was super crunchy and tasty, I would definitely get it again. The service was good! The parking was fine since it was in a plaza, but beware of long lines especially on the weekend. This place is a little piece of Hawaii in RSM. I love the vibes and the decor inside! They play hawaii music and the staff is very chill and helpful. The food is pretty amazing too! I've tried multiple items and each of them remind me of my time in Honolulu. They are only open for breakfast and lunch but that kinda represents the Hawaii time. I'm absolutely obsessed with their breakfast burrito. 2 problems unfortunately. 1: the price to order it to go is 3$ higher than ordering in person. 2: I'm picking up my to go order, which is the same as the DoorDash/food delivery drivers pick up spot, let me tell you why this part is chaotic and messy. It's adjacent to the line where people come in to order, and there's not enough room to stand there. Two lines, very squished. There's people sitting at the booth next to the right that can't get out because the space is too tight. I docked 2 stars for 2 separate issues and I will no longer be coming back here. First star was docked because of a dark hair in the gravy with my loco moco. Honestly not a huge deal and I have ordered/ eaten from here over 20 times since then and haven't seen any more hairs. The second star is from this morning. I called at 7:50 and an older Mexican lady picked up the phone and put me on hold. I was on hold for 5 minutes and she picks it up and hangs up. I call back and she hangs up again. I call a third time and a guy picks up and I explain to him how they need to get it together and not hang up on loyal customers because that's how they lose business and the fat tips I generally leave. Every single time I eat there I spend around $200 and I tip over $100 for the staff. The younger staff are generally more proactive but whoever that older Mexican lady is that was working this morning needs to have a review done because that's absolutely ridiculous. Always a good place too go when "Snooze" is too far to make it without a good breakfast in stomach. Peps are nice too. Service is wonderful.
