My husband and I were at BassPro during the holidays and got roped into buying 3 nights at a "resort" hotel in San Antonio, where we have family and visit often, for $300. We told them our son is active duty military and doesn't get his schedule very far ahead of time so we wouldn't be able to book far in advance. No black-out dates they said. Good until October 2026 they said. I went to book our room reservation for the end of July or early August when our son will have time off and NO WEEKEND dates are available AT ALL. Also, we would have to "upgrade" and pay $65 extra per night to stay at the resort they showed us when we bought the package. So we will be staying at an average hotel and not for the dates we wanted. Also, our "check-in" is at the resort close to where our family lives but we will have to drive all the way across San Antonio to get to the hotel where we will be staying. The salesperson at Bass Pro told bald face lies to get us to buy the 3 nights. There was no discussion of required attendance at any sales pitch but this was clear when I went to make the room reservation. Considering cutting our losses and just going ahead with our trip on the dates we wanted and staying with the family we're visiting. If we do use the Bluegreen reservation, will definitely be bringing my crochet and zoning out during their spiel, setting a timer for 2 hours exactly, and getting up when it goes off and walking out without signing or buying ANYTHING.

I've been a member for 24 years now and I'll continue to pay my dues for as long as I drive. The renewal of my auto DMV registration alone is justification for maintaining my membership as far as I'm concerned so Towing and roadside assistance is just icing on the cake.

He was very patient as I called and bugged him multiple times. Earlier today he called Taiwan and had Vicky (his manager?) take over and check flights from there. They searched high and low and tried to work with me on finding the most economical flight for 2 people. Vicky "booked" my flight for me and said she would keep calling the airline in taiwan and get me seats. When I called them back to tell them that I was instead going with a different agency (first time) they were totally nice about it and did not act snooty afterwards. They are going to refund my credit card and I totally appreciate the time and effort they have put in.
