I am a huge fan of Rouses Market and whenever I am in this part of the southeastern United States…read moreand I am close enough to one of their locations. Rouses Market was started by Anthony Rouse, Sr. back in 1960 with a single location in Houma, Louisiana. It has since expanded to over sixty locations across three states (Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama). The thing that I like best about Rouses Market are the local items and I am always heading home with several items that I simply cannot get in Florida. I picked up some local food stuff that I can only find in Cajun country. The staff at this location was friendly and professional and this store is pleasant and welcoming. All in all, I would definitely recommend this location of Rouses Market or any Rouses Market location for that matter. If you are in the area, come check them out. I give this particular Rouses Market location five stars overall for a completely positive and upbeat shopping experience.

Been meaning to stop in for a while now and we finally did. The MC is so cute. We loved it…read more The staff are all very friendly and efficient. We ordered lattes and some food for dining in. It was a colder day and so the seating options were limited but I bet this place is fantastic in the warmer temps because they have a lot of nice outside seating available. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was excellent. I also got a rosemary honey latte with oat milk and I highly recommend it! The prices are very fair and portions are excellent. If you're concerned about parking, there are spots available in the lot next to the building and they also have plenty of nearby street parking. (The menu did offer alcoholic beverages but I didn't try them.)

First time to Bay Saint Louis and first-time train ride! We…read morecame here, planning to eat breakfast and to drink so alcohol coffee. And well, since it was a Tuesday, they don't have food. I found that out as I was exiting the train via their website. I was pretty disappointed, since there were literally no breakfast places around and the train drops you off at like 9am. I even asked the customer service person at the exit of the train, and nothing. Bay Saint louis would make bank with a 7 day a week breakfast place. Anyway, we came here regardless of no food to get some wake up juice. There were so many flavors and different combinations to try, let along the alcohol coffees. So, I decided on the Belfast Brew. It had Jameson in it and Irish cream. It was sooooo pretty when it arrived! Like a dessert! We sat in the couches and just chatted, very relaxing and no rush to be anywhere. There were a few people here so I can imagine it probably much busier later in the week. I have thought about this coffee many times since I had it and I wish something like this existed in New Orleans. It really was one of the best 'Irish coffees' I have ever had!

5+ visits. Service is good…read more Very loud when full: tables are less than a chair space apart so no conversation will be private. No liquor license: Beer, Seltzers, wine substitutes, canned mixed drinks. Ensure people know they are not ordering a grocery store wine..regardless of what it says on the bottle. For the canned mixed drinks....serve the whole can. Bread: 3rd bread change. The first bread basket was PHENOMENAL. Then, they changed to huge chunks of yeast bread. Now a small hot crossed bun type roll which would probably be delicious warm, but its flavorless served cold with cold butter that won't spread. Some ppl will eat bread no matter what. Heat the rolls, make sure the butter is spreadable i.e. room temperature. Food: Scallops are, of course, not fresh. As far as frozen goes, they are cooked well. Personally, not for me $28 1.) price point 2.) frozen scallops with a mound of pasta. Originally had 5 or 6 scallops. now it think its 3. For the price point vegetable side, a salad, veggie and a salad....something other than $1 mountain of pasta. Burger has a great flavor, single patty $14 for $3 more you get 2 patties. I don't want 2 patties. If tomato, pickle, and shredded lettuce are the other 11$. Make the single burger perfect! I want an excellent quality tomato slice, real lettuce v shredded lettuce, 4 or 5 pickles and seal the deal - butter and toast the bun..again super flavor, juicy! Without fail, we order the Caesar Salad because it was divine. The dressing made it. This time, I almost didn't eat it. Dressing was thin, watery, and romaine not coated. Maybe the romaine wasn't dried after rinsing....so run off water diluted dressing. Not for me to say, all I know is it was watery and I was not happy. Point is, the server or prep person-someone between prep plating the salad and it getting to me- should have noticed it was different. Unless, it was intentional diluting of dressing. IDK. Filet- friend loved it - 8oz Filet and small side of hot salad Pork Chop - friend loved it seasoned so well huge. potatoes and corn Chicken Piccata - friend loved it piece of chicken and plate of pasta Tallulah Belle - cake is very coarse, not moist actually hard and dry. Ordered it once before but forgot we did not like it at all. Chocolate strawberry mousse - described as mix between mousse and custard. Thinking creme brulee right maybe lighter whippier... No, it was neither. It had beautiful cocoa flavor but it was hard...not at all a mousse nor custard. It was solid. I asked in advance to make sure of what I was getting and still was surprised with something I didn't want. Have had many other things that I believe I reviewed already. Personally, for me going to dinner with the ladies...I will decline in the future. The salad put the nail in the coffin for me. If I cant depend on the food being consistent, I will not return. I don't want to return food when I get there I'm hungry ready to enjoy a great meal that I am going to pay premium for and I am not going to eat and pay premium prices for randomly subpar food. At the Bistros price point, entire dining experience should be commensurate. Take reservations for any # of people. BSL peeps like a reservation - we plan our dinners, show up on time, and want a table when we arrive.
