They work and are not too expensive! If I see something I might like on an advertisement I ask her about it and she gives me the equivalent that is good for my skin situation. I paid through Groupon and got a 60 minute massage for $50 (original is $80). The tax and gratuity has to be paid at the spa in cash though, so go prepared with cash. I called ahead to make an appointment and mentioned my Groupon. The spa is right off of Rt 46 West in Denville, right before the restaurant, Sogo. The place has a hair salon downstairs and massage rooms upstairs. My masseuse was Ingrid and she was accommodating to my needs and very nice! She gave me a lot of time to undress and I ended up having to call to her to say I'm ready because I was afraid it would cut into my massage but it didn't, I still got my full hour. My massage was great and very relaxing! Ingrid really focused on my problem areas and did well! Unfortunately, the Groupon is only for first time customers which is understandable. My family got me a gift card to Aura Head Spa for my birthday, and I am SO glad they did! The lobby area is very cute and the check-in process was super easy with the very lovely front desk ladies. Gabby came to get me. I put on their robe, put my belongings in a locker, and headed downstairs for my 50 minute classic head spa with an added curl relief service. Gabby told me that it is a shared space downstairs so that we will be whispering when talking. I didn't mind this at all, and it did not take away from my experience. When I laid down on the table she put a warming mask on my eyes, which was glorious and began the whole process. She worked on my scalp the most - massaging, gentle scraping, using one of the vibration machines (sorry, don't know what they are called), and the water fall halo. All of it was AMAZING. I felt so relaxed and just entirely in the moment. The mini shoulder massage and facial were fantastic as well! As others have said, I wish it could have gone on and on! Afterwards, I went up to their blow dry bar and did my hair for the day. Even that was a lovely experience in and of itself. It was just the perfect me time I needed. Thank you Aura Head Spa. Also, pro tip - I was going to wear sweatpants, but decided last minute to wear jeans. I should have stuck with my gut and wore sweatpants because obviously you leave your pants on. I would have been a bit more comfy in sweats or shorts, instead of jeans, but that certainly didn't take away from anything!

I should've known the second I walked in and seeing the amount of cosmetic and medspa offerings this not a legitimate functional medicine office. My first appointment I came in then did a BMI assess ment, took vitals, and then I met with Daiva who is one of their nurse practitioners. She listened to my symptoms as I explained what I've been experiencing with no changes and only seeming to get worse. She wrote down everything I mentioned and noted that I would need to come back for testing as no one told me prior to this appt I should've been fasting for lab work. I then came back about a week later, had an insane amount of blood taken for testing, urine test, and H. Pylori testing done. When I came back a few weeks later for a 2pm appointment I waited for over 20 minutes before anyone took me back and then additional testing was done prior to going over results with Daiva. A metabolic breathe test was done and then an ultrasound of my leg veins was done. I was assured that the ultrasound was a free screening and would not be charged. I have been monitoring my insurance to make sure that is true. I was already annoyed because at this point I had been here an hour and still not gone over my results. Finally we make it to the back and they are taking my vitals again and weight, then going back to see Daiva for all my results. This took about another hour to go over everything. My boyfriend came with me as he wanted to see if they could find out any updates and then determine if he should start coming here as a patient as well. He was even more annoyed that I was that we had been there for 2 hours and could not answer anything of my sickness and instead suggested I do additional testing that I had requested to do in the first place and would be all out of pocket costs. The only thing the lab work came back with was every vitamin in my body was very low and below the optimal functional range. They did not do the GI mapping like I had requested or glyphosphate testing. When I brought it to Daiva's attention that my allergist found out that my histamine levels are extremely high it maybe affecting my gut health and DAO enzyme productivity. Her response is "what is a DAO enzyme" once I heard that and all the specific testing I wanted was not done I knew this was a money grab functional medicine scam. They sent me home with over $500 worth of supplements and she recommended I start taking them all immediately. For someone who is depleted of these vitamins wouldn't taking all these doses at once send the body into shock? I followed up with my PCP, allergist, and a legit functional medicine doctor. They agreed most if not all of the herbal supplements they sent me home with were completely unnecessary. Very disappointed in what seems to be a money grab scam and there was still not clear diagnosis of my symptoms or what maybe even causing them. Very frustrating as i am still not feeling well and was hoping they would be able to say it was a gut imbalance or some type of parasite. Not to mention even more concerning that a patient knows more than their provider about gut health and enzyme. DO NOT GO HERE FOR FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE! I will be monitoring my insurance and credit card charges to make sure they are not continuing to charge me.

She called in and was going to be twenty minutes late but I had another appt after and couldn't wait. How would she feel if I showed up 20 minutes late when she had other clients waiting? I am sure she wouldn't be waiting for me.
