Two weeks ago, I had my lips dissolved with my preferred specialist, Monica, and booked a refill appointment for October 4 at 12pm with Kelly (since Monica was out of office). I started my commute from NYC to the Verona location, but found it odd I never received a reminder -- so I called, only to learn that my appointment was never actually booked, despite scheduling it over the phone 2.5 weeks ago. They managed to squeeze me in later in the day with Megan. However, when I arrived just five minutes past their 10-minute grace period (after calling ahead to let them know I'd be slightly late), I was told I had missed my appointment and the most she could offer was a conversation -- not the actual service. I found this incredibly disappointing and frustrating, especially given the effort it takes to travel from NYC without a car, and the fact that I've been a loyal client for years. It's unfortunate to end things on this note, but I can no longer recommend Montclair Rejuvenation Center after today's experience.

I don't know how to put into words just how thrilled I am with my experience with Dr O. My only…read moreregret is not getting my rhinoplasty with him sooner. The recovery was such a breeze, I never used any prescription pain meds, and the bruising/swelling diminished so fast! I am very happy I went with Dr. O out of all of the other surgeons that I carefully researched. He is so humble, pleasant, and kind, despite being a truly gifted surgeon and artist! I am also so thankful to the friendly staff for their support throughout the entire process! I was extremely nervous about going into an elective surgery, especially as a nurse myself who knows all of the major risks. However, I would go back in time and go through this process again in a heartbeat because it was so easy. I cannot praise Dr. O and his team enough!

I had surgery with Dr. Alexander Ovchinsky in 2017 to correct my deviated septum because I was…read morehaving difficulty breathing. Since I was already going to be under general anesthesia, Dr. Ovchinsky suggested improving the appearance of my nose at the same time, so I agreed to combine both procedures. Unfortunately, the surgery did not accomplish what I was promised. My deviated septum was never properly corrected, my nose is still visibly crooked, and I still cannot breathe normally. The most devastating consequence of this surgery is that I developed Empty Nose Syndrome (ENS), which was later officially diagnosed at Maimonides Medical Center. I was told there that there is unfortunately no cure for this condition. It has permanently changed my quality of life. Everyday things that most people never think about have become difficult. Winter is especially hard. Dry indoor air causes constant discomfort, and breathing cold outdoor air is painful because my nose no longer warms and humidifies the air properly. Instead, it feels like the cold air rushes straight through my nasal passages, almost like a fan blowing inside my nose. During my postoperative visits, I pointed out that my nose was still crooked. Instead of discussing a proper correction, Dr. Ovchinsky suggested injecting filler into my nose and continuing filler treatments over time. That was not why I agreed to have surgery. I chose surgery hoping for a lasting correction, not to depend on temporary cosmetic procedures afterward. What disappointed me even more was what happened later. When I developed serious complications, I contacted Dr. Ovchinsky's office hoping he would evaluate me. I explained everything that had happened. The office manager told me that because they no longer accepted my insurance, I would have to pay $300 just to see Dr. Ovchinsky. After everything I had gone through following his surgery, I expected at least some willingness to evaluate the complications related to his own work. Looking back, this surgery left me with an uncorrected septum, a nose that is still crooked, chronic breathing problems, and Empty Nose Syndrome. I deeply regret trusting Dr. Ovchinsky with my care. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Dr. Alexander Ovchinsky.

Today was the first time visiting this location and I just know this will be where I will be doing…read moremy remaining sessions. The place itself seems identical to the Williamsburg location but I like this one better. The receptionist was very friendly and helped me to schedule all of my appointments on the same date so I'm not coming to Laser Away a million times like I work here lol (not sure why they were scattered out to begin with) She also informed me of the update where we can be in the sun before/ after laser. I was concerned how was I going to be outside this summer with 8 treatments remaining. Glad it won't be an issue now. The woman who did my laser (I wish I would have gotten her name) was very informative and made me feel comfortable. This was my second session so I'm still pretty new. I added on a new service, my upper lip (because why be hairless everywhere else and still have a mustache?!) and the woman walked me through what it would feel like and even did a test on my neck before we began- I appreciated that. She was thorough and took her time making sure to get every spot. I already booked my next appointment and I can't wait to come back! I've seen amazing results after the first session so I can't wait to see if any hair grows back now.

Storytime: removing my former 5 star review because laseraway is DOWN BAD... story time: tonight…read morethe "manager" yona wanted to leave early so she called me at 655p to tell me she was cancelling my 7p appointment booked weeks ago and that I planned my work schedule, childcare and plans with friends around- I had already driven 30 minutes to get there and was around the corner. She then yelled at me when I suggested I should receive some sort of compensation for the severe inconvenience, told me I was out of luck because I already paid for the service and then hung up on me. Every single laseraway employee I've ever met has told me they are looking for a new job and hate working there and clearly it's managers like yona driving away good employees and customers. I'm shocked she still has a job with customer service/managerial "skills" like I saw tonight, but hopefully she enjoyed getting off early tonight on June 23 2026. Avoid and take your business elsewhere unless you want your appt cancelled without notice 5 minutes before so the manager can tell you she doesn't care because you already paid for the appt, hang up on you and then leave early.

Have recently changed to a different Laser Away location because of my experience at this location…read more Overall, the nurses and nurse practitioners who have done my laser services have been wonderful and I thank them! My experience was more so lacking and disappointing due to the customer service end of things. To start, on my 1st appointment was "tricked" into changing my package as a sale was going on. I was told that my legs would be FREE with the current promotion they were running. I was handed a tablet to sign but was not told or shown any price and didn't think at the time (which in hindsight I realize was naive) that I would be paying anything as I was told it would be FREE. When I called the center afterwards and Comenity - there was no way to undo this. So from the start, I was not happy but I still continued to attend the location afterwards - chalking it up to me being naive and not asking questions but the frustrations continued. Very often I would arrive to my appt and be told I would have to wait longer due to staff being out. I understand this happens but it was quite frequent and I would have preferred a call or prior notice. A lot of times I'd have other plans afterwards or work that would be affected. One time; I also wasn't even able to do all my services because my appointment time was delayed by so much. My last disappointment where I decided it was time to find a new location was back in February. As you know we've had a very harsh and brutal winter. This location opens at 10 and I had my appt at that time. I arrived 10 minutes early, which is standard for me and i believe the right thing to do. I arrived to the door the same time as a worker. She looked at me with a not so nice or approachable look and I said "Hi, I have a 10 appointment, am I too early?" And she said "yes!" And just let herself in- although there were two other works inside and a lobby/waiting area. I was definitely upset because it was freezing out and I could've been waiting inside. Initially I thought maybe this person was a manager or maybe needed time to get things in order before opening, but again, there were two other women sitting inside at the front desk. In addition, I come to find out she was one of the nurses - as she performed my services that day, which was so awkward. I was very upset after the interaction and thought it was very unprofessional and not a good example of customer service ESP considering the harsh cold and turning me away. But I am not a rude person and would never make a big ordeal, so I just took the mental note and as mentioned earlier this you could say was my final straw and I knew I needed to find another location. The main reason I am sharing my experience is so no one else gets conned into a "free" service and then be financially responsible to pay more. This is the most disheartening part of my entire experience. I understand that this not reflective as the entire company - as I had a great first appointment at another location.

I don't recommend CoolSculpting--or any services--at LaserAway. My appointments were rescheduled…read morethree times due to vague "staff emergencies," at both the Hoboken and Clifton locations. For the price, the experience and results just weren't worth it. My original appointment was scheduled for April 29, but got canceled due to a "double booking." I wasn't able to reschedule until a month later due to travel. That rescheduled appointment, now set for May 26 at a different location, also got canceled--again due to staff issues. (It also happened to be Memorial Day weekend, which made the situation feel even more avoidable.) I finally had my first session on June 6, over a month later than planned. The staff was nice, but honestly, the procedure was so basic I could've done it myself. The sales pitch made it seem like you needed a nurse practitioner to avoid risks like "polyps" or poor results, but the process was extremely simple and the difference was barely noticeable. Definitely not worth the hype or the price tag. I scheduled my second appointment for July 25, the earliest possible based on their 30-day policy--but surprise, it got canceled too due to another "clinical staff emergency." I was told one of the two clinicians was in a car accident (which is awful, of course), but it's pretty concerning that they only have two staff members handling everything. I'm now booked for August 7 in Hoboken. Today is July 24. Let's see if they cancel on me a fourth time. What started as something I hoped to complete by May might not even finish by August. Save your time and money--go somewhere private and more professional. This chain is just not it.
