They did a fine job on my car (I have a basic Ford Escape, nothing fancy). I was told there was a Lifetime Guarantee! I noticed lately, the tinting on the right front passenger door is scrunching up. I couldn't find my receipt but I figured they would have me in their system, and so I drove down there and talked to someone in person, who gave me the impression he was in charge. He told me that they don't keep any information in the system and there was nothing he could do for me. He said I would need to find my receipt from 4 years back?! What?! Seriously? Who doesn't keep records in their business system? Are they using triplicates? He said for me come back and they could fix it and maybe "see what they can do after it's fixed." Huh?! I'm not gonna have the work done and get charged full price. Just bummed that this is how they do business.

Auburn Detail gets 2 stars from me…read more I've used them twice. The actual detailing work on my boat was good, but both experiences created significant issues that cost me a lot of time. The first time, they left the key on after detailing, which drained both batteries. When I launched the boat, neither battery had enough power to start. I spent nearly four hours troubleshooting the issue - to his credit, the owner offered to cover the cleaning cost of my boat cover ($75), which I appreciated, but the lost time was far more valuable than the reimbursement. The second time, I picked up the boat and discovered that the mussel seal tag had been broken. That immediately voided my containment status and meant I had to arrange for a decontamination inspection before launching again. In my case, that required scheduling an appointment at Rollins Lake, changing travel plans, and spending additional time dealing with the issue. The decontamination cost is about $150, which the owner promptly offered to reimburse, but again, the money wasn't really the problem. The bigger issue was the time, inconvenience, and disruption to my plans. While the costs associated with these issues were ultimately somewhat addressed, the bigger problem was the time, disruption, and frustration caused by two separate, avoidable incidents. It felt like the impact on my time and plans was never fully appreciated. After these experiences, I've decided I won't be using Auburn Detail again.

Two small windows separated twice from under the seem and you could see light shine through. He told me he would fix it and after serval attempts on my end to schedule that, he had an excuse after excuse. He no showed on me and told me another excuse two times before he fixed my windows. The third time of me scheduling, he showed up to fix my windows. Both times he worked on my windows he left the car a mess with running dirt water marks, filthy dirt windows and tint trash in my car. The worst part is after he finally came to "fix" the windows ( all the scratches, dust, hairs and gaps on smaller back windows ) he asked me what tint I had, 20 or 35 on front windows. I went and literally showed him the 20% matched the last tint he did and told him I wanted 20 the same as last time to match back windows. The guy used 35 on front windows!!! I couldn't believe it honestly. I told him it didn't match he told me it was just because of the sun hitting the windows???? I was so done with the guy I had already waited 5.5 hours for him to "fix" the windows that u couldn't expect. Terrible service, super unhappy and would never recommend or use him ever again.

I had to wait a certain amount of time before writing this. 1, so I wasn't writing an emotional…read morereview and 2, to make sure that the service I received elsewhere was superior. I want to be fully transparent, the entire reason for me to take the time to write this review is with the goal that at least two people read this and go elsewhere for their auto glass needs. I will feel like I did something for the community and I will feel like I got my money back. I had a windshield replaced 2/13. Service was OK, although my appointment was scheduled for 2/12 and when I got there on the 12th, they realized they ordered the wrong glass for my car and I had to come back for service the 13th. That happens, no problems. On 2/27, I was sitting at a stop sign when I noticed a straight line, about one inch, on the edge of the glass, in the black. I couldn't tell what it was. I tried wiping it off from the inside of my car and I tried to clean it off with the wipers. Within 15 minutes, that one inch turned into 4, into 6. Still, confused by what it was. I stopped and saw from the outside that the windshield was cracked! I called right away and let them know. They told me a manger would call me on Monday. I work nights and was nearby the shop on Monday morning, I called and asked if I could bring it in now. They agreed. I brought it in and did not get the guy's name but he introduced himself as a "foreman". He looked at the crack and told me that it was caused by something hitting it. I did not believe that at all. The next few minutes shocked me and the second I knew, for sure, that this was not a reputable shop is when I asked him for a second opinion, and suggested it was a stress fracture from the installation two weeks ago. He told me, again, he was a foreman and that there was no one else who could give a second opinion. I told him OK, but that I absolutely could not get it replaced there again. He understood and let me leave. Then, I started doing actual research! If you are reading this and need auto glass, do NOT go here. Drive 43 minutes down the hill to Tigris auto glass (916) 476-3052. It will be a lot cheaper (from $470 to $250) in my case and I've had it now 7 weeks with no fracture. I understand things happen and I understand bad luck. Maybe my experience was both of those but the two things that I can't quite get over are 1) not honoring a customers request for a second opinion--that is free and ANY reputable or even reasonable person would gladly set up a second opinion and 2) I haven't mentioned this yet....but the installation, I was about to leave and the receptionist said, "oh and they told you no car washes and keep the tape on right?" No, I had zero instructions and was planning to go straight to the car wash! I didn't because she told me at the last second. At Tigris, I had a hand out with special care and instructions for the first two weeks. Knowing what I know now, absolute should have never installed my windshield when they did---as a major storm and temperature changes were brewing and those conditions alone make the glass setting and installation more vulnerable. I dropped the boat off at 9:30am... went back home and worked on things around the house for a few hours. It was ready for pickup around 2:30pm.
