Auburn Detail gets 2 stars from me. I've used them twice. The actual detailing work on my boat was good, but both experiences created significant issues that cost me a lot of time. The first time, they left the key on after detailing, which drained both batteries. When I launched the boat, neither battery had enough power to start. I spent nearly four hours troubleshooting the issue - to his credit, the owner offered to cover the cleaning cost of my boat cover ($75), which I appreciated, but the lost time was far more valuable than the reimbursement. The second time, I picked up the boat and discovered that the mussel seal tag had been broken. That immediately voided my containment status and meant I had to arrange for a decontamination inspection before launching again. In my case, that required scheduling an appointment at Rollins Lake, changing travel plans, and spending additional time dealing with the issue. The decontamination cost is about $150, which the owner promptly offered to reimburse, but again, the money wasn't really the problem. The bigger issue was the time, inconvenience, and disruption to my plans. While the costs associated with these issues were ultimately somewhat addressed, the bigger problem was the time, disruption, and frustration caused by two separate, avoidable incidents. It felt like the impact on my time and plans was never fully appreciated. After these experiences, I've decided I won't be using Auburn Detail again. read more

I have a gift certificate from the previous owner. The business was sold, and we just found out from the previous owner. I purchase the certificate just before it was sold and I wish I was informed about the sale. The unfortunate thing is the new owner will not take the certificate. He said he took them for a year and will no longer be reimbursed by previous owner. One would think the new owner would take it as a good will gesture thinking a more business. We will now go to Ballistic Detail in Auburn and refer them to friends and family. read more

Brought a Range Rver there for deep cleaning and 2 front windows tinted. I picked it up, the owner Frank is grumpy, no smile, my Rover parked outside i the rain when their shop was empty. 2 days later when it was a sunny day we brought it out side. Interior still dirty. Took windex and wiped dirt of the cream color interior. Some scratches on paint still not buffed out. Pass side window tinting had an area 4" on top with 4 long lines. My wife brought it by to show them, he said to bring it back. I called a few days later to make an appointment. He said to bring it in to check it. I said my wife already brought it it and you checked it. My wife said she felt very uncomfortable aroung him, because he was NOT friendly. Well, he ws not friendly when I picked it up either. I told him that he was not acting friendly or nice. He said TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE! ( I paid over $600! I have to pay someone else to fix the poor tint job and clean the interior properly ) I am sick to my stomach about this place. read more

Rush job, dirty windshield so bad that I could see the wiper rounds. No cleaning inside between the windshield and hood gap. THE WORST PART, i picked the car up in a rush, didn't check it out and they said they were closing. I parked it at work and came out at 10 pm with an interior light on. I didn't even think about it and shut my vehicle off to get gas and couldn't start it. I told them about it and they insisted IT WASN'T THEM! Blaming it on me after paying 325.00 for a detail I had to pay 55.00 for a cab home to Gold Run and was not happy. My: roadside assistance tried for over an hour to find a boost... everyone was busy.. weird night.. got home at 1:30 am dog tired. I gave them EVERY opportunity to make it right and they were having none of it! We've got your money and so what if you don't come back was their attitude. Apparently they have lots of friends to leave them glowing reviews... uh huh I'm not a friend and definitely the farthest thing from a happy customer. All the guy did was deny deny blame me recite policy as if to suggest I went into the back of the SUV when I didn't even have time to check it and turn the light on myself. Horrid customer service... HORRID Even telling them I'm going to share this to which his reply is GO AHEAD ..full of tone. You'd almost think he was the one who paid 325.00 for a crappy detail job, $55 for a cab home 5 hrs of sleep and dealing with the car the next day! Our car was covered in hard water spots from a front yard sprinkler and it needed attention. They were great! We were told this may have been one of the worst cases of hard water spotting they had seen (Antelope has VERY hard water), yet they were able to get our car looking WAY better! Excellent service and easy scheduling. I've had 2 vehicles detailed here and the work was impeccable. My last vehicle was a full claybar, paint seal and followed up by a glaze. The paint pops and is so smooth! I checked the panel edges and the applied product over every appropriate surface and didn't cut corners like some shops do by not going to the edge of panels. Giving these people a one star rating is even to much. First off they put the wrong shade of tint on my car. Second off the ruined my rear window defroster by removing my old tint and replacing it with new tint. When I called them to ask about this situation and I quote.. He screamed at me and said "fuck off" to me his customer!! I would never recommend this shop to any one for any service what so ever!! If you have any problem with them they just tell you to fuck off!! I will be calling the better business on them and filling a complaint with them as well..
