We arrived and was actually double booked, so we waited....and that was 2022. As life happens, we had a pause in training and when we returned it was the start of a crazy journey. We thought we'd get some obedience training and be on our way, and we ended up with a "sport dog", with bling! Over the last couple of years, I actually learned a few things that I feel confident in myself and trustworthy enough in the ALT process that I decided to give it another go. I am lucky enough to jump on the puppy class that transitions into sport dog training classes. Thurbs is a Big Bro to a GSP-POODLE mix who will be 6 months old in March. I love this place. My Pup loves this place... It's a new business and the team is small so it might take a little time to get your consultation scheduled but I guarantee it is worth it! Our pup has some reactivity due to multiple attacks from loose dogs in our neighborhood and Adriana the owner and Edith her business partner have been so encouraging I have so much more confidence than I did before. I love Adriana's way with the dogs and she is just the right balance of expertise and understanding. I especially love the way she is with ME. My dog learns quickly and as I make mistakes she shows compassion, patience and gives me clear guidance... just the way I am learning to be! I can honestly say I look forward to class. There is always something new and fun to learn and the engagement with my GSD is so rewarding. Our bond is strengthening and our self assurance is expanding so much! The cost is actually reasonable and worth every penny. We have been to other places where we paid a huge amount of money, thought we were getting one thing, and just never felt like we were any closer to achieving our goals. We just had a big gathering for the first time since covid; I followed Adriana's advice to the letter and everyone was so impressed by what a good boy our pup was. Before Adriana he would have been very nervous. If we were to stay in Texas this would be the only place for us for the rest of our fur baby having lives. Recommend!!! Not sure exactly where to start because Adrianna and Edith are THE BEST DOG TRAINERS. We have three Rottweilers that are headstrong and they have taught us how to channel their energy. All three of them have different personalities and strengths. These dog trainers are able to hold a class that incorporates different strengths. They have taught me how to read my dogs to be a better owner and understanding of their behavior. Might be a good dog trainer, yet to find out. After two weekends in a row of trying to set up the training I will not be using them. I had talked to the trainer in reference to my dog being trained and what exactly I was looking for. I had to wait a few weeks for my dog's ears to heal after being cropped. When my dog's ears were healed I texted the trainer early Saturday morning and she never responded until after the class had started. She stated she was busy training other dogs and apologized. We agreed following weekend to start the classes. The next weekend comes and I show up for the training and texted the trainer. She then informs me that they had to close for the weekend to attend a seminar in Houston. I stated that it would have been nice to have been informed of this earlier in the week because of the inconvenience of driving from my residence and changing my plans to start this training. Guess I should have confirmed the training before leaving my residence but I didn't think I needed to after we had an agreement. The trainer stated that active clients were informed guess I'm not an active client or just wasn't informed, either way I won't be using this trainer. I can only imagine how the business is ran, communication is key for a new client perspective. read more
