This is the slowest non concerned insurance zoo in Lancaster Tx, the Dr. Ogwu needs to retire he is fast, non effective and gave me a misdiagnosed Heart diagnosis after going to 2 other doctors and heart specialist nothing he told me was accurate or agreed with money, time, insurance spent for what!!!!! This my last time ever coming here my appt was at 11:15 it's 1:01 pm and I still haven't seen him! This doctors office is a joke!!!!!!! They do not respect your time and overbook clients for extra money. They are quick to take your payment but I promise you will wait at least an hour in the lobby plus another 45 mins in the private room. If i could give this place 0 stars I would. The service here is horrible. My appointment was at 945 and I was not called back until an hour later and even waiting on the doctor was long I ended up just walking out. The NP Schmidt was so worried about me having a mask instead of getting her medical assistants to get me back on time. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

PATHETIC! First off, the office staff is about as tired and ratchet as the service they give. Anyone giving them a good review HAD to have caught them on a LUCKY day! I've had to visit with them a couple of times because I couldn't immediately switch to another Dr after the first time. Figured, maybe it was just a slow day, they can't be this horrible... But NO, the norm IS A SLOW DAY, thus they're horrible! You sit there for HOURS waiting to be seen, yawning and playing phone apps to stay awake. I could've put two kids through College before getting in front of that Dr! And then when you're FINALLY called back to be seen, you might wait there another hour or two before the Dr even comes into the room. But when you go back, they're all just standing around (Drs included), laughing and playing amongst each other. Like, what are you guys back here doing that is taking so long for your Patients to be seen for crying out loud? I asked the Nurse whom was taking my vitals, "Why the long wait?" She goes, "We usually have to fit in people from the previous day because they weren't seen before the office closed." WHAT??? Who actually sits that long? Anyway, I went in for a follow up from an ER visit (which didn't take as long to be seen by the way) and all this Dr did was refer me to another Dr whom WAS NOT IN NETWORK as his "Referral Specialist" should've foreseen with my insurance. But then the second referral wasn't either! I had to find my own referral to get in contact with his "Referral Specialist" whom took another two weeks to get the Dr to refer me to them. OH! Don't let me forget about this part! They charge you for any papers that the Dr has to sign whether it be for Worker's Comp or Short/Long Term Disablity $25 for the first page and then $5 per additional page that has to be filled out. True, many Drs do this, but those are mainly the Drs whom scrap and suck up every penny because they're losing clients. I now have an EXCELLENT Dr with a very welcoming staff and I am in and out with no hassle. I tried to support a "Black-Owned" business and got every bit of ratchet that I hadn't ever experienced at a clinic. The receptionist whom handles the Insurance with them Sha-Nay-Nay braids in her head will make you literally want to pull her big forehead tail from around that desk; every bit of ratchet with a stankin' attitude to match! Trust me, these people speaking about how horrific their experiences were, are not making it up! When you drive past their clinic and see all the cars in the parking lot, those belong more to tthe staff than patients. read more

Hello, I have been going here for weight loss since 2008. They are good with prescribing the weight loss pills. Anything else I would go somewhere else. The office is only good for charging you and making money. Profiting on customers doing Covid-19. I asked why do you need to do blood work, ekgs, xrays- when my pcp can forward anything you need as I go there for any and all issues before I would come here. Also you do one every time I come. When asked to see previous test done by this office they said we don't have access to them. I spent: 15.00 on visit 60.00 on the previous test from 2018 50.00 on the current ekg, xray and he wanted to do a echo. I said no. My specialist will do it and send it over. All for some weight loss pills that they have been giving sine I came in 2008. Rip off doctors office. read more

This facility has a current rodent problem and they refuse to address it. The "owner" is arrogant and dismissive. I would not send any one or any animal to this dirty disgusting facility. The bathrooms are dirty, the tile on the floors is broken and pulling up. There is some kind of stain on several spots in the floor and the facility just doesn't smell or look clean. "Old Timer" I have been coming here for years. Yes I do mean years.... It is in a very good location in the Southwest area of the Dallas suburbs. My only issue with Alpha Medical is the long wait period that you will have to visit your doctor. Now let me start off by saying they provide many different healthcare needs. They provide work injury care, weight loss, Family medical, chiropractic services and even have an onsite pharmacy for you to get your meds filled on the spot. They take all kinds of health insurance which is a plus when trying to find a doctor. The office is very clean and the staff is very professional. The doctors are also very knowledgeable. However the wait time is why I can't give it a higher rank. You can expect to be there for a few hours at least. That is an issue for me in my busy lifestyle.... So if you have the time go for it or like me make sure your schedule is clear for the day. read more

Why they made us come into the office for test results vs. just giving them over the phone is beyond me. But making us wait all weekend (day #12 since the initial visit) and then making us wait an additional 2 hours & 8 minutes past our appointment time to see the Dr. is even more ridiculous. If they are that freaking busy, they could have saved themselves a lot of time and saved us 3 hours by just giving the *everything looks good* test results over the phone last week! They had me worried sick all weekend that something was seriously wrong with my child's test results. Why else would you have to go in person to get results??? This was our 3rd time there (same issue, just trying to find out if it was serious). The first two times were a 1.5 hour wait to be seen .. beyond the scheduled appointment time. They seem nice, but really need to get their schedule worked out where patients don't have to sit unreasonable amounts of time waiting. Today they said they have 1 Doctor and 2 Physician's Assistants, and that one of the PA's had quit last week without notice, making the schedule overbooked for the 2 who were left to see patients. I can understand that, but a little advance notice that there might be an extended wait would have been nice. I was on pins & needles waiting to see if my child had a serious medical issue that warranted us getting results in person. :( read more

I've been here 2.5 hours and was just told there are still two patients ahead of me. My appointment was for 4pm. I arrived early at 3:30pm and now it is 6pm on Friday and I am not feeling happy about this situation. All I needed was a weigh-in and prescription refill. I think I may need to find another Dr. who is more respectful of my time (and apparently everyone else's). Quite frankly, this is ridiculous and my LAST appointment. After tonight, I will NOT return and cannot in good conscious give a good review for just this reason. The people are nice enough and go out of their way to remind you of your appointment. Why, I don't know. If you have nothing better to do with your time than sit and wait and wait and wait, no problem. At this point, my review is a -1 Star if I could give it. I don't like spending my Friday in this way. 6:30pm and I am still here. Never again. read more

I came here for an emergency check up during a work trip and the doctor has a horrible bedside manner , extremely rude staff and long wait times. Next time I was drive a little further and see another physician with better manners that knows how to actually treat a patient. Save your time and take your health elsewhere ! read more

Drs. Ogwu and Ogwu are a blessing. I have been a patient for years and I have never had better more thorough care. At my age, I have had many doctors and Dr. Ogwu ranks there right up on top. While it may irritate me that he is so thorough - it is a blessing as well. I have to admit I may have to wait a bit but it is worth the wait. I know he will diagnose me and make sure I have the best medical care. I do love the appointment reminders!!! read more

Alpha Medical Center........ What can I say about Alpha Medical Center. I hate the fact that you are only able to be seen for one thing at a time. I think this office abuses insurance patients with all the follow ups they require. The last couple times I went in I was told to follow-up and they couldn't give ME my information or test results over the phone. The waits are ridiculous, I would have been better off going to the ER. I am very appreciative for the staff there, they are all nice and pleasant but the doctor is greedy. They have convenient services like long hours, walk in appts., and urgent care but this is not the place for me. read more
