The deck was wavy but intact, and the chimney cap was leaching rust down the roof. They jacked up the soffits to even them out and tied them into the rafters to they won't say anymore. They repaired the siding around the soffits to re-square them to the new angles. They prepped and painted the chimney cap so it won't stain the roof anymore. After numerous DIY related emergency room visits, and way too much time passed, I decided to give hiring a crew another shot. I found the LT Brothers through an online ad and made an appointment for an estimate. After the on-site visits of five companies, and five estimates, the LT Bros estimate came in fastest and most reasonable, by far, and they could start very soon. I agreed to the estimate and off we went. I had no idea what was about to happen. By the end of the first week, I was blown away! These gentlemen are some of the most proficient, skilled builders I have ever encountered. Their knowledge covers carpentry, electrical, HVAC, painting, plumbing, sheetrock, masonry, roofing, flooring, and more. But in my opinion, the most incredible skill that the LT Bros have mastered is problem-solving. I can't count all the times that they easily navigated some outright puzzles. By the end of the week, I was lining up any and every job I could with these guys. The weeks rolled by with not one argument, not one failed idea, and all sorts of design help and patience with my ever-changing requests. Nonetheless, our contact person Madeleine and her crew came out to assess our foundation and cracks and some mold from the humidity in the crawlspace. In the end we went with mold remediation, a sump pump, new vapor barrier, joist lifts, and air sealing to keep out the creepy crawlies. Big ticket expense, but when compared to the competition, we went with them because of the thoroughness with the estimate interview and the willingness to answer all of our questions, they were also well-spoken of on other review sites including a popular large community message board, and the price was pretty comparable. Also, the crew was very good. My only ding would be was not putting the items in the crawlspace back in the order that it was originally, which saved space. But to add to their credit, we have one additional project that needs to be done outside of Little Corner's scope and the new company took a look at Little Corner's work and said "They did a very good job, this is how we would have done it." We were given dates in November, December 23, and December 30, and no one ever showed up. Communication completely stopped in early January. After months of trying to get them to finish the job, we've had to hire a third-party contractor to correct the defective installation at our own cost.
