I had talked with Ed over a year ago when first researching installing a heater, he was very helpful and took the time to talk with me even though we weren't ready to install at that time. Says a lot when someone does that. The equipment we decided on is a leader in the industry, Pools by Warren does not deal in substandard equipment, or equipment that is just OK, you get what you pay for and of course a company's reputation rests on what they install as well. The installation process was smooth enough, the plumber/installed by Jason who is just a great guy, full of knowledge didn't mind explaining everything about the unit, the process etc. Jason even helped with a new chlorinator cell. Then Jim came out and hooked up the electric, another nice guy appreciated all he did. Then Ed came out and made sure everything was completed to his expectations before giving me a tutorial on everything. He took the time to discuss the equipment and then even helped with the pool system itself. Explained all the valves, the adjustments, etc. I know more about my pool than ever, Ed and Jason are way better than Youtube thats for sure! If you need any type of pool work I strongly encourage you to give Pools By Warren an opportunity to provide an estimate you won't be disappointed.

They told me I had to purchase a new pool pump from them for over $3,500 after being told my existing one was a "gas hazard" and "smoking" and beyond repair. Now, as I have interviewed and met with three other local pool providers and the company that made the pump, I have learned that pump was only five months old and still under full manufacturer warranty -- something the company failed to check or disclose. On top of that, the owner, Jim, personally scheduled seven (7) separate meetings with me (some requiring my assistant to attend on my behalf since I could not be there, the most recent being all day Tuesday) and did not show up for a single one. This wasted both my time and money. When I asked for a quote to repair a chip in the pool, they refused to even provide one until I purchased the unnecessary new pump. The only positive interaction I had was with the office manager, Heather, who was professional and courteous. Unfortunately, her efforts could not make up for the company's lack of accountability. After sharing my experience, the company has not offered reimbursement or admitted wrongdoing. I am left with unnecessary costs, wasted time, and a strong sense that this business does not value honesty or customer service. I deeply value the importance of business reviews and use them myself when making a decision. I cannot recommend them to anyone seeking trustworthy pool service.

On several occasions the water turned green, which created serious issues, as this was a rental property. (I was told there must be a leak, but on my own "bucket testing" there was none.) When I once recently spoke with the owner he was exceptionally rude, spoke in a derogatory way about "New Yorkers" (which I am not), and my service was abruptly cancelled. Thankfully, things have turned out well. My new pool service lady is amazing, and pointed out that the excessively high pool phosphate concentration had been ignored which was the reason that the large shock doses of chlorine, simplistically performed, were not the answer.
