I do not say this lightly about fraud, being an attorney. We employed Brandon to install a Lockly Vision Elite on our door. This nightmare started on May 31,2023 when we were charged $536.25 for the Lockly Vision Elite. He claimed that the product was not available and could not do the install until July. My husband and I thought this was odd but we gave him the benefit of the doubt. My husband would call and text Brandon and he would never respond. He finally arrived at our house on July 3, 2023 after my husband repeatedly called and texted him. He said he was involved in a car accident that day which is why he was late (Now looking back, I think he was lying.) Brandon did a horrible job installing the lock. First, the handles of the door were crooked and the door was not closing easily. He advised my husband that there was a missing "plate" for the door that he did not have with him and would have to come back later to install it. My husband asked why the current locking system would not allow us to open the lock with our iphones, which is feature on the Lockly Vision Elite only. Brandon stated that this "plate" he needed to bring would allow us to have that feature. Since July 3, 2023, after the date of the initial install, my husband kept calling Brandon and texting him to find out when the job would be completed. He did not respond at all. He left our door looking horrible with holes in it and the portion of the lock and bolt system in the inside of the door was causing our door to catch when you opened it. Last Monday, July 17, 2023, our door became completely stuck. We could not open or close it. My husband and I were extremely angry. Since Brandon was not answering my husband's texts or calls, I decided to call him. A woman answered the phone and was speaking to me in a accusatory fashion as if I was having an affair with him. I repeatedly asked to speak to Brandon and she wanted to know why? I stated he was working on a job and I needed to speak to him. She said, "what job?" I finally got to speak with Brandon and told him the situation. He said that he was doing a job in "San Diego" (he was always in San Diego) and was sorry about the door and could come on Wednesday morning to fix the problem. He also said he had the other "plate." On Wednesday morning, he texts my husband and says he can't come until Thursday, but Friday would be better for him. Being extremely irritated and mad, I tried calling him again and texting him and no one answered or returned our texts. I told my husband that if we did not get a response from Brandon by the end of Thursday, we needed to find someone else to finish the job, which we did. We found a local locksmith who came out and looked at our door and said that it was one of the worst install jobs he had ever seen in his 40 year career. My husband asked about this additional "plate" that needed to be installed to allow our iphones to open the door. The new locksmith said there wasn't another plate and the system was already installed. My husband gets the box that the lock system came in and it turns out, Brandon charged us $536.25 for the Lockly Vision Elite, but we ended up getting just the Lockly Vision which is worth only $399.00 if that. This whole time Brandon was lying about the product he bought us and was just stringing us along! This is a horrible company run by Brandon who committed fraud. Their website is dishonest, none of their 800 numbers work, there is only one person doing the jobs (poorly) and they do not service our area, although they claim to. He charged us $875.00 for service and install and the veteran locksmith fixed our door and did the proper install for $375.00. If you want one of the worst service experiences of your life then call Brandon, but if you want a job completed competently, timely, and with great customer service, find an experienced local locksmith.

We hired Vino Vice to provide an overnight security guard during the tenting of our house for…read moretermite fumigation and are SO grateful they were available and provided such responsive service. Due to the increasing incidence of home robberies during fumigation, (I know -- unbelievably stupid people risking their lives...), the fumigation company strongly recommends onsite security guard, at least at night, of homes that are normally occupied and have all the contents still there. The homeowner preparation for a fumigation is extensive and VERY stressful in this situation -- not at all like fumigation of an empty house prior to occupancy by new owners. Even removing major valuables and storing securely elsewhere can prove challenging. The peace of mind Vino Vice provided was priceless. During and since our fumigation we have heard countless personal stories of homes burglarized during fumigation! Finding a security company that provides a single guard for such limited time frame proved to be somewhat challenging until I was told about Vino Vice who provides "Event" security for weddings, parties, and other events. Their website was helpful and when I contacted the owner, Aaron Ulm, by phone, he explained that he gets many calls from homeowners about possibly hiring a guard during fumigation but so far they had been reluctant to pay the expense. We got a quote for having a guard from 9pm to 5am (just after last light after sundown to first light just before sun-up at time of our fumigation) for the 2 nights the tent would be on. After also getting a quote from MarBorg Industries Paso Robles office for a porta-potty rental for 2 nights that would be required for the guard, we decided to go ahead with contracting for both and welcomed Marie her 1st evening to orient her to the property and our expectations. Yes! A FEMALE highly experienced, very professional, personable, and detail-oriented guard who understood the assignment well and kept us informed throughout. This was in addition to leaving our security alarm system on (but with the few necessary bypassed open windows of a fumigation), all our Ring camera surveillance still on under the tent, additional cameras inside the house, and additional camera from outside the tent facing back of house. The presence of a guard car parked in the driveway and guard patrolling the perimeter of our house about 2x/hour served as additional deterrent to any would-be thieves. Her response if discovering any intruders would be to call the sheriff and then us. Our alarm company also had specific instructions. Our neighbors were all aware and watching as well as monitoring their own surveillance cameras. We definitely covered all bases from a security standpoint! The additional onsite HUMAN presence of the Vino Vice guard and of her car, however, cannot be underestimated and we highly recommend Vino Vice if you are considering security during your house fumigation tenting! The additional expense is much less than cost of lost expensive and possibly irreplaceable belongings.

These guys will take care of you. He has the foresight to make sure everything is backed up daily/weekly/ monthly depending on your needs, you have multiple working copies, and have the ability to use a copy within minutes. Why pay a ransomware threat when you can be safely covered and never have the headache of trying to figure out how to run a business with no backup data and pay to get your own data back.
