Coming from a preschool education background I knew what I wanted and didn't want. I searched for months before finding my boys a home away from home. When I walked into BBA3 I just knew. The open floor plan is something I had never seen but loved immediately. The owners story as to why they opened the center and their strong family values had me at hello. In tears I decided this was the one. The entire staff is very kind, sincere and caring. I can go on and on. They helped to guide my 3 year old son on the world around him, but also introduced the beginnings of Pre-K learning. My son loved going to school here - he made many of his firsts here. He loved his teachers and all of his classmates, and I can't forget the guards. Months later he still talks about them and what he misses; we will have to visit. The playground is like-new, under a beautiful tree. The kids go outside, and on small walking trips around the park and The City Hall. Here, the teacher-to-student ratio allows for more one-on-one attention, which helps students excel at a much faster pace. In all the years we've been part of this school, I have yet to see a teacher or staff member without a smile. They are rooted in biblical principles each morning, and they lead by example. That spirit shows in the way they interact with the children and families. I came across a comment from another parent about a billing issue. While I'm sure it was simply a systems error that the school resolved appropriately, I don't believe one isolated incident should overshadow the countless good things this school has provided for our children. No school public or private is perfect, and both must cover costs to remain open. For perspective, public schools cost taxpayers around $25,000 per student each year. Yet, many parents at KCA are not only already paying those taxes, but also willingly investing in their child's foundation years here at less than a quarter of that cost. That sacrifice speaks volumes about the value this school provides parents and students alike. Give credit where credit is due. Mrs. Renata is rude and unprofessional and shows a clear lack of empathy and understanding when dealing with parents and families. She can be very passive-aggressive when speaking and has made interactions with the school unnecessarily uncomfortable and frustrating. A front desk employee should make families feel welcomed, respected, and heard, but unfortunately that has not been my experience. The way she communicates and handles situations reflects poorly on the school. I sincerely hope the administration takes this feedback seriously and considers providing better customer service training or finding someone who is more compassionate, professional, and respectful.
