I signed a contract 2/2/2022 and from the moment the check cleared Nick stopped communicating. I finally called before memorial day. excuses, so sad, personal problems, etc, etc. said the report was almost done, give him a week. It is July 21st, and I have NOTHING. He did send me what he had done June 15th, but it is so incomplete the NEW Geo Engineer I have to hire said he may have to start from scratch. I want my deposit back. I don't care anymore who died. You have other staff that could have completed my report. This company literally cost me 300k because the buyers pulled out. It was taking too long and I had absolutely no way to know when the report that is holding up our partition will be finished. $300,000.00. That is a huge problem.

We paid the 50% and shortly into the project we were asked for additional cash, which we paid. The project was never completed and we did not receive the promised report, nor did the DEQ, however we were billed an additional sum which we declined to pay. Conversations with Nick Coffey were less than productive and he still could not produce the report. At his request the account was then sent to a collection agency, subsequently to an arbitrator, who requested a copy of the report in question, which Mr Coffey was unable to locate. Finally the case was scheduled for small claims court, but because Mr Coffey did not cooperate with the collection agency representing him, they chose to drop the case. At best Nick Coffey is incompetent, and at the worst, a scam artist.

That meant that we had to engage an electrician, the charge falling to us, something that the sales offer didn't cover, an unexpected extra expense. When the system was switched on, the noise was excessive. Not just noise, but the vibration in the house. It was kind of like trying to sleep in the same room with a really bad 1970s refrigerator about to die. The only person from Alpha who came back to check on the system was the radon level test person, who said that he knew nothing about dealing with noise issue. I spoke with Arial on the phone, whose only response was: the fan is the quietest in the industry and, the system was installed in the only place possible on the house. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, he said he would look into it and call back. He never did. Doing my own online exploration, I found that possibilities include a defective fan motor, changing where the system was strapped to the house, adding padding between the strapping and the house, and/or adding sound dampening inside the system. None of these options were even suggested by Alpha. Service after the sale from Alpha was abysmal. I feel like they took the money and ran.
