We've had family living us with that doesn't necessarily have the same cleaning standards I do. Having the carpets cleaned was more of a sanitation effort than anything, and I don't feel that was even remotely touched on. A few that were living us with little artists, so upon their departure I found many colored spots on the carpet. I'm not sure exactly what it was, but there was red, orange, yellow, blue, green and black in multiple locations. Before the technician started I pointed these areas out. There was particularly ugly black streaks in the bedroom which I was informed "might not come out". Overall: HERE'S THE KICKER--I used my spot cleaning machine after Coconut had been here and got ALL of the colored and black spots out that they didn't. And the water it drew was absolutely filthy!!! There has not been anyone in our basement that could have caused it to be sooooo dirty from the time Coconut did their "work" to the time I did mine. All it took to pull the colors out was a little effort. How could industrial machines not have well surpassed mine?!?! Bottom line: I'm calling another company to come do the job right because I wholeheartedly feel it hasn't been cleaned at all. And sanitization is my top priority here. Disheartening! The concerns: 1. The man that came was here for a very short time which was the first flag raised given the size of the space. 2. Finding all the carpet heavily saturated after he left. Expected to have it be a little damp, but this was WET! It took 2 1/2 days of fans blowing to dry it. 3. When I went to see if the marks were gone, I found at least 50% of them still there. 4. None of our furniture was protected. We've used other carpet cleaning services in the past and they put small squares of plastic under the legs of furniture. We moved out what we could before they came, but some things you just can't get out of the way. Such a small effort for something that makes a difference. I ended up doing this myself after he left. We have several vintage sewing machines in tables that could have been ruined otherwise.

I was out of town and my daughter texted me that the tech said our carpet could NOT be clean unless it received a special treatment. He said it showed (under his special light) need of heavy duty cleaning to remove pet and possibly human residue. Nothing appeared to the naked eye at all. I had to click on several documents and approve it all on my cell phone BEFORE the work could be done. I couldn't see well what I was agreeing to as we were loading a trailer and I didn't have my glasses. The tech NEVER said to our daughter, "It will be $75 per squirt." He NEVER mentioned a $ amount. We used this company for years with excellent service but NO more! It is sad to be scammed by a company we thought we could trust and thought to be reputable. The fine print even says "unguaranteed" when describing the "special" treatment! And who ever pays the total for any service - and under pressure - before it is completed? I complained to the manager who consulted with the tech (who lied) and the owner. The best they could offer was a small credit for next time but there will never be a next time with this company. I realized it had been three years since I moved into my house and I'd never had my light colored…read morecarpets professionally cleaned (It's ok if you think I'm gross) so I had Tyler come out and clean my living room even though I was pretty sure the carpet was a lost cause and just should have been removed. I do know Tyler personally (I need to let you know that because, you know, fairness and full disclosure and such) so he had been in my home and seen my carpet prior to cleaning it and he said that he thought he could make it look and feel new again. While I had my doubts, I made an appointment. He showed up with his van of tricks and explained the whole process to me as he was getting set up. I have two big dogs, so because of that, in addition to cleaning the carpet he was going to apply a disinfecting treatment as well. It made me happy to know that it's a chemical free process and that all of the cleaning solutions are citrus based. Every single little spot is gone from my carpet. Tyler's work is nothing short of some kind of carpet cleaning voodoo ninja magic and I'm so glad I let him have a shot at cleaning it. It looks, feels, and smells at least as good as new. It actually probably smells better than new because there's not really "that new carpet smell" but if there was, I would hope it smelled fruity and citrussyv and clean, because it's fantastic. Tyler is wonderful and if you need carpet or upholstery cleaning, he should for sure be your first choice. I'm pretty excited to have him back to clean my sofa. Like. Soon.
