My fav place to purchase gifts or to go treasure hunting! The grounds are relaxing, and open so you can stroll through nature and shop at the same time! If you are lucky the resident cat will come up and give you a welcome rub on the leg. Kathy does a great job with the gift shop, it's always decorated perfectly especially at Christmas. Her tree inside is perfectly decorated with hand selected, unique ornaments. There are so many good things about this place, I urge you to go see for yourself! read more

Enourmous talent the one of the artists selling at this Markeplace in Alpine. I was super impressed with all what I saw, totally amazed by the metal art of that guy creating funny ants and other little beasts with some metals and adding rocks and other props. Funny and creative. Ideal for gift giving to those with big houses and backyards. Woodwork is also very impressive and most of the little stores selling antiques there have excellent material. I got a very cute and funny watermelon-teapot. Very whimsical and different. My friend got a vintage Mexican totem in wood for her patio. Lots of cool stuff and vendors very friendly and dedicated to you if you have any questions. Also a great way to pass some hours browsing nice things while in Alpine. read more

Cool place with more than meets the eye. We almost didn't stop because we thought it was just garden. Poke around in the back for several little buildings and tents filled with an eclectic assortment of vintage goods or duck in the main building for some new clothes, jewelry or gifts. They are friendly but never pushy and we will be back. read more

I stopped in here the other day to buy my christmas tree. I was pleasantly surprised that they were selling trees in alpine! Christmas trees in alpine are normally hard to find so I was instantly impressed. It is owned by the sweetest husband and wife couple. My kids loved the all the animals they have, one parrot, lots of koi fish and the cutest labrador. I also noticed that they are adding a little coffee shop to the nursery. Just got our Christmas tree here today, I've been looking for years for a Charlie Brown style tree, the natural fir kind. Stopped by today since they sell Christmas trees in alpine and Mario, the owner had a bunch! Was so excited to find the Charlie Brown style. He opened each one up for me to choose from and even had his guy build a stand and deliver it to my home down the street! This place couldn't be cuter. The owners are the kindest people and you can tell they are passionate about what they do. This place is filled with antiques, plants, and small treasures in every corner. You could walk here for over an hour and just bask in all of all the history that's around. They have a old camper that's filled with treasures, and that's just one adorable touch. If you like antique-ing you have to give this place a try! Just bring some water if it's a warm day, alpine gets pretty hot during the summer. :) read more

My friends and I stopped at this business as we were passing through town and left with our hands filled with new items to make our outdoor space feel more homey. We love this place for many reasons. The serenity of the creek and turtle pond beneath the giant oak trees. Unique, handcrafted quality finds, art and antiques at reasonable prices. Constant new inventory. Gorgeous, up to date arrangements. Gypsy the parrot. My daughter exploring the wood and scaling the giant rocks. Sampling Concord grapes that grow along the walking bridge. If you want to find a hidden gem in san diego this is your place. The owner is a very nice woman who is more than ted see you when you arrive. There are so many gifts in this place i ant begin to list them all. Make sure et the car and say hello to the chickens or they will follow you until you meet them You can find an array of collectibles as well as daily use items. This a great hidden gem in Alpine with something for everyone. From awesome plants (our best source for organic milkweed), yard pottery, birdbaths, to some amazing antiques and vintage goodies, a lovely coffee bar, and the "cabin" full of furniture, gifts, jewelry, crystals and other cool things, this is a destination in and of itself. Visit with Rosie the chicken and her 2 sisters, visit the pond (can you spot a turtle?) and if you are lucky, Marco the cat will let you pet him. We have been coming here for years, buying gifts and goodies, and lots of plants. Prices are lower than just about anywhere you go. Kathy and Mario are very helpful, and just plain good people and Kathy also does beautiful wedding flowers and custom arrangements. Don't miss out on this special little place. read more

Just happened to step in after eating lunch just to check it out. So glad we did. The owners are so very nice, the grounds has cool stuff to look at and the shop has a bunch of cool gifts with good prices. My son kept looking at a stuffed panda I didn't realize was for sale but before I could realize the owner gave it to him! He was so happy the expression on his face. They also made sure our kids got to see their cool bird outside. It's just so refreshing to come across genuinely friendly people ... This was right after having great service and nice people at the tavern next door. Will certainly make the trip back for some of their monthly events. :) read more

Alpine Garden and Gifts is a treasure in Alpine. It's an antique mall, a garden nursery , coffee shop, and a unique artisan gift shop all in one place. There is a tranquil turtle pond and a boisterous parrot which are also unique to the property. This is a great place to stroll, especially after lunch at Alpine Beer Company's new location which is right around the corner. The nursery specializes in drought tolerant plants. The prices on the antiques are amazing and there's a cabin filled with creations by local artisans including jewelry, soaps, candles, leather, paintings, fiber arts, etc. This place is worth the drive to Alpine! There's also a vintage flea market on second Sunday's of the month with music and food. Don't miss a visit to this place. read more

I love this place! Unique, interesting, friendly, relaxing. It is worth a drive up from the city. Have lunch at Janet's and walk two doors down to the Gardens and wander around.
