This is one of my favorite outdoor nurseries. Now first off it's nothing fancy mostly outdoor plants. Lots of parking, no pets allowed they have a beautiful lab that walks around and greets guests. Prices are really good. I started buying milkweed from them because they use no pesticides and my caterpillars eat the plants up before they turn into monarchs. I also love their succulents and hanging plants. Never had a problem with any plants I purchased very healthy. They do give you a credit for any plastic pots that you bring. Wow! I was very impressed by the quality of flowering plants and succulents especially considering the price. The selection was lower since spring just began but it was still ample. They had beautiful flowering trees but I did not have a vehicle to haul them. I highly recommend visiting this spot. read more

Today I decided to head in after two years. Before it was a nice older lady and a sweet older dog. Went in with my children. They picked out their own flowers and asked for boxes for the flowers that I purchased. Would have been pretty nice for each child to have flowers in their own box to hold while driving home. The man was disgruntled about the boxes. " I have to keep the boxes for customers" last time I checked I was a paying customer asking for boxes to fit my flowers in. I mentioned asking for my money back and the older man yelled at the younger one " give her her FN money back" the young kid looks at me and says " I hope Karma gets you" all while the older man yells " Home Depot won't give you great service either. absolutely outrageous that it had to come to that. I'd rather go to Edith at Home Depot in Santee. Now that's great customer service! read more

Visited the plant house nursery a while back and I can't believe I forgot to post a review about it. The place is magnificent if you love plants. No pets allowed which prevented me to spend a lot of time in the nursery since I had my pup waiting for me in the car. Healthy plants, variety of selections, and variety of started pots to grow your plant. Plants were reasonably priced worth the drive to El Cajon. This is a great nursery, prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. I picked up a variety of plants that I have had trouble finding at other nurseries. With all of the crazy covid related stuff, they have done their best to keep stock on hand. I have been coming here a long time and service is always good and they are friendly and helpful. Sometimes at those big box retailers that have a gardening section, well the plants can look a little sad. But not here! This is my go-to nursery - first off, the prices can't be beat. Secondly, they grow all their plants in Blossom Valley so they are used to the climate here and won't go into shock when you plant them. Love this place! Great family run business.....Ginger the dog is actually the boss and she has some great people working for her ;-). Great selection of plants ranging from trees to roses and other ornamentals, garden veggies, fruit trees (potted and bare root in winter), and tons of other stuff. I like this nursery and Shari is great her husband is impatient..but ok if you dont mind quick fast sharp answers...they have just about everything but no rocks or bricks...lots of plants at a decent price...all in all not a bad place to do business. My husband and I recently purchased a house in Lakeside and stopped by here today for the first time. You can't beat the prices! Staff is knowledgeable and kind. Make sure to stop by and say hello to Ginger the Lab. We bought 7 small Blue Point Junipers for $14 each I believe it was. I got a pretty large Jasmine plant for $9.00 which is 3x the size of the one I just purchased at Lowe's. Also got a small morning glory vine for $3. There are a variety of fruit trees, vines, grapes, and different privacy tree species here. We will definitely be coming back! read more

I own a landscape maintenance company, today was the first time I've shopped at Plant House. I needed to find a simple 5 gallon daisy plant and my normal spot had nothing. Went here for the first time today. A friend of ours with a way over the top, incredibly nice garden said this was the place. I went here and bought some stepables for a small patio.
