The two salespeople were helping other customers so we waited patiently. One of them was actively helping a customer and the other was having a personal conversation. Neither bothered to even acknowledge our presence or let us know they would be with us when they were done. We stood there awkwardly and finally just left. Their sister store Cabin Fever has a similar salesperson vibe.

In addition to the beautiful collections they have (Green Gables being my favorite), their Staff is super friendly and very competent. Two of the ladies that worked directly with us have extensive interior design experience and were really helpful when making our decision. We picked out two bedside tables on the floor and the lady told us she had about 6 more of the exact same tables in storage. She invited us back into the storage area and moved a bunch of stuff around so we could look at the 6 tables and find our favorite grain pattern, nuances, etc. We picked the 2 best ones out of storage thanks to her initiative and service. Stock rotates there regularly so we go in and check it from time to time. Staff was so great; couldn't have asked for better!

I wanted to take at least half of the stuff in Hemmings & Jarrett home with me from a home decor standpoint. The place feels so warm and inviting! I ended up buying a Christmas decoration - three Christmas gifts/boxes that light up from the inside. Each box is a different size, is red, and has a red ribbon. Cost me about $75 - I also paid them to ship the decoration home to me.

I called back that day after confirming some measurements and she took my order over the phone and processed the payment on my credit card. Approximately 1 week later I called asking for an estimated shipping date. I was then told the order had not yet been placed with the furniture manufacturing company and they would be unable to do so until the owner got back from vacation, they were not sure when that would be. I asked if I could cancel my order and get a refund and they apologized and said they would reach out to the owner. The following day I received a short e-mail stating my order was placed and shipping information would be sent ASAP (I never received shipping information). Two days ago I received a text message that the chairs were ready to be picked up, I responded I would be by after I got off work to pick them up and got no reply back. I went by the store first thing on Saturday and waited in front of the business 45min past the posted opening hours of 10am, no one showed up. There was no sign regarding closures or inability to open and, of course, no answer on the telephone. I placed my order 28 days ago and I very much regret it. Too expensive for this poor of customer service. I have no comment on the quality of furniture because I have not seen the chairs.

We walked in with a stroller and the gal working there was super accommodating, told us she'd move anything around if it wasn't stroller-path friendly. She offered us a soda or coffee, and showed us where the restroom was if we needed it. Honestly it's the warmest reception we've gotten entering a store in a long time, a very nice surprise.
