As I mentioned, I could browse their furnishings forever, they have so many great decor items from leather chairs, art, wind chimes and everything in between. I did notice that some prices are marked up, for example the hot tub cleaners and such. (Almost by double vs Amazon). Overall, a wonderful spot for your mountain home needs and gifts. If you are looking for a new fireplace/stove, I do not hesitate to recommend them.

Mountain Home Center sold two covers for the same property in Incline Village. Both failed prematurely. When we raised the issue, the company's president responded that "covers don't last long up here," that they sell "hundreds every year," and that owners should expect to replace covers every couple of years. In other words, they know these products aren't suitable for Tahoe conditions and sell them anyway. The cover sold was a residential foam-core model installed at ~7,500' elevation, exposed to high UV, snow load, and daily vacation-rental use. When it failed, the blame was shifted to "heavy use" and sanitizer levels--both completely foreseeable conditions. The problem isn't Tahoe. The problem is selling underspecified products and then disclaiming responsibility when they fail. There are heavy-duty covers available for this market. Mountain Home doesn't offer them. If you own or manage property here, proceed very carefully.

She invited us back into the storage area and moved a bunch of stuff around so we could look at the 6 tables and find our favorite grain pattern, nuances, etc. We picked the 2 best ones out of storage thanks to her initiative and service. Stock rotates there regularly so we go in and check it from time to time. Staff was so great; couldn't have asked for better!

I called back that day after confirming some measurements and she took my order over the phone and processed the payment on my credit card. Approximately 1 week later I called asking for an estimated shipping date. I was then told the order had not yet been placed with the furniture manufacturing company and they would be unable to do so until the owner got back from vacation, they were not sure when that would be. I asked if I could cancel my order and get a refund and they apologized and said they would reach out to the owner. The following day I received a short e-mail stating my order was placed and shipping information would be sent ASAP (I never received shipping information). Two days ago I received a text message that the chairs were ready to be picked up, I responded I would be by after I got off work to pick them up and got no reply back. I went by the store first thing on Saturday and waited in front of the business 45min past the posted opening hours of 10am, no one showed up. There was no sign regarding closures or inability to open and, of course, no answer on the telephone. I placed my order 28 days ago and I very much regret it. Too expensive for this poor of customer service. I have no comment on the quality of furniture because I have not seen the chairs.

So, then I did call and remind them just because they seemed like they could care less I came in front of them asking to confirm date. When I got there they were really weird about assisting me with a small ottoman to get into my car--not I have spend $7,600 on a sofa! I got total attitude and snotty help. I will NEVER shop here again they won't see a nickel from me and I will not refer anyone to their store. So sad you cannot get local retailers to appreciate you and all the business you have sent them.
