I called back that day after confirming some measurements and she took my order over the phone and processed the payment on my credit card. Approximately 1 week later I called asking for an estimated shipping date. I was then told the order had not yet been placed with the furniture manufacturing company and they would be unable to do so until the owner got back from vacation, they were not sure when that would be. I asked if I could cancel my order and get a refund and they apologized and said they would reach out to the owner. The following day I received a short e-mail stating my order was placed and shipping information would be sent ASAP (I never received shipping information). Two days ago I received a text message that the chairs were ready to be picked up, I responded I would be by after I got off work to pick them up and got no reply back. I went by the store first thing on Saturday and waited in front of the business 45min past the posted opening hours of 10am, no one showed up. There was no sign regarding closures or inability to open and, of course, no answer on the telephone. I placed my order 28 days ago and I very much regret it. Too expensive for this poor of customer service. I have no comment on the quality of furniture because I have not seen the chairs.

So, then I did call and remind them just because they seemed like they could care less I came in front of them asking to confirm date. When I got there they were really weird about assisting me with a small ottoman to get into my car--not I have spend $7,600 on a sofa! I got total attitude and snotty help. I will NEVER shop here again they won't see a nickel from me and I will not refer anyone to their store. Requested bids and designs to remove all the grass in the backyard, install sitting walls around trees with flag stone steps and zero scape setting. The rabbits and voles wreaked havoc in our backyard. We've had to replace our lawn twice. Jeff with Rock Solid Landscaping responded. We agreed to meet and walk the yard. We wanted 3 mounds with larger rocks around with native plants. The crew started everyday at 7am and worked until 4pm. They were always on time and worked a full day. This job was completed in 2 weeks. They delivered a porta potty, bobcat in front of our home. They put cones for safety. They are very organized, when dirt, rocks were delivered they moved to backyard. Then they swept the street and/or driveway to keep clean. Our neighbors complemented on the nice job of keeping street clean. Juan Carlos and his 2 workers were very well organized. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. I asked for a few Day Lillie's be transplanted back into the area. They installed a new drip system with an extension for me to plant my small veggie garden. We are very pleased with the entire process, price and worked they did. We highly recommend Rock Solid Landscaping.

Three days later I noticed one was dying because of an aphid inspection…read more I called them and they said bring it back for exchange. 30 min later I showed up and was told they do not do exchanges for plants as they are living things and if my dog peed on it they would have no way to know. When I insisted I had talked to someone and I expected them to honor the phone call, that person came and let me exchange my plant. Poor training or poor customer service, either way not a pleasant experience.

My experience with the Mountain Home Center in Truckee began after our 15 year old hot tub froze solid, cracking every pipe! I realized it was time to step up to high end product, and headed from Tahoe City down to the Mountain Home Center in search of an answer. Erik Starks, the sales associate provided all the information I needed; he was well informed and knew the performance characteristics of each model. He also advised us of the energy efficiency, which is really important in this cold climate. We picked out a state of the art Hot Springs Spa, which had over 40 jets, along with underwater lighting! Eric's approach made the entire process enjoyable; there was no pressure, and alot of questions were answered in a very honest manner. Eric went the extra mile by arranging to have the new Hot Springs tub craned over 40 feet high, and the installers got right to work. Their expertise and diligence enabled us to enjoy the new hot tub on the same night- which made our neighbors envious! Thanks to the Mountain Home Center for their professional, forthright approach. They have earned our trust, and we could not be happier with the outcome. I would recommend them highly to anyone in search of quality products and workmanship. It would be difficult to rank the Mountain Home Center high enough. I have enjoyed their services for many years, buying multiple fireplaces and spas. Their selection and attention to detail is unparalleled, but what really makes them stand out is there their service. Sam & Eddie are ALWAYS available to talk through problems, schedule service calls, or help explain a situation. As I said, I've purchased multiple spas and multiple fireplaces. These people are so good, they've even helped me with brands they don't sell! Have a tricky problem with a fireplace that won't respond to a thermostat? Call Sam & Eddie. Have a need for a fireplace that is both aesthetically pleasing and powerful enough to heat your living room? Call Tom Just. Need a special house warming present that you want to be sure is unique? Stop by their store. I would give more than 5 stars if possible - they're just that good. This is an easy review to write as Mountain Home Center is a great place to buy a spa and get follow-up service! My wife and I bought a Hot Springs spa 5 years ago and had a good experience ordering it along with accessories. It was delivered to South Lake Tahoe and setup along with a chlorine generator. I highly recommend the generator as it makes routine maintenance a snap. Since then we have had a couple of warranty service calls, each time dealing with Sam Marsh. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and takes time to answer all questions. One time I sent him a picture of what was going on and he noticed another part that needed replacing. The extra part was installed in the one visit saving another service call. Recently we had Eddie come to replace a moto-massage unit under warranty. While there he took the time to replace our chlorine generator, saving me a lot of time and frustration. The work was professional and Eddie is great to work with. He also delivered our new cover, saving me a trip to Truckee from South Shore. All in all, I highly recommend Mountain Home Center, and thank Sam and Eddie for their professional service support. read more

Mountain Home Center is the Best! The friendly service we received from Rick and his crew when we bought a woodstove for our Tahoe cabin seven years ago has kept us coming back through the years. From the Hotsprings spa (which we use every day!) to the Fireplace Extraordinaire they just installed in our new house, we couldn't be happier with the quality of the products they carry or their commitment to customer service and satisfaction. Sam has been a huge help to us as we've learned how to maintain our hot tub and troubleshoot minor problems that occur from time to time. Rick continues to be our fireplace guru and the "Toms" have been very helpful in finding the right product to suit our needs. We always know we'll hear back from someone in a timely manner when questions arise. We will continue to consider Mountain Home Center our go-to place for purchasing major items for our home and recommend it highly to others. I should also mention that it's one of my favorite places to spend a little time because of all the fun decorator items on display. My hot tub froze! Mountain Home Center to the rescue! After the last long power outage, I forgot to check on my hot tub (I looked at it under all the snow and just pretended it wasn't there). Just over a week later, I finally took a peek and discovered the breaker had tripped during the outage, which caused my hot tub to leak water into the heater, and then several parts of it froze. I called Mountain Home Center in a panic, knowing this was my fault and not under warranty, bracing for the worst. Upon learning I didn't have anyone home to help me with the emergency fix, Sam raced over, chipped away the ice so we could access the inside, and then set up a hairdryer inside the compartment to thaw everything out. Sam and another tech, Ethan, came back out two more times and this morning gave me the good news that everything had thawed out and went back to working perfectly. I am SO GRATEFUL for the incredible service at Mountain Home Center and thrilled that I bought my hot tub from this local business that truly cares about its customers. I had been having issues with my hot tub for almost a year tripping off and randomly loosing water. James Davidson was dispatched and spent some time troubleshooting the issues and discussing all of my options. He chose to disconnect the light as that had been know to cause the breaker tripping and then replaced a valve. The tub continued to trip off so the heater was the next possibility and the day before he came to replace said heater the tub lost water again. Heater in, no leak and I was very impressed that he remember to hook the light back up. It wound up being the computer board but I was very grateful that James had taken the time to try the least expensive routes first (and not charging for the labor on the 2nd call as the problem had not been resolved!). I know that my hot tub will last many more years and want to say how professional, polite and technically knowledgeable James and his trainee, Paul, were not to mention that they were masked and COVID safe. They are assets to your company and I will continue to shop locally!!!! read more

I have been doing business with Mountain Home Center for decades. From hot tubs to woodstoves, outdoor furniture to home accessories, we have spent a lot of money here. The service is very good, the staff is knowledgeable, and they're all helpful. Scott has been our "personal" sales person there for years. I was most impressed recently when we had a fire in our home, and Scott was the first person I called for help. He arranged to have our old wood stove insert removed, along with the chimney, in a matter of days from my phone call. We subsequently purchased a new wood stove from them as a result of the good service. Over the course of nearly 30 years, we've spent tens of thousands of dollars with Mountain Home Center. Every purchase we have made through their store has been good, and they stand behind their products. Plus, they go the extra mile to make installations AND removal of old items happen seamlessly. Great local company that stands by their products and services. I have a second home and my gas fireplace stopped working. That's not a purchase I wanted to make online as I needed to reinstall the venting to new codes. Contacted Mountain home center and they had good products on display and solid customer service. I bought a floor model and had it installed when I wasn't there. Since this past year was covid, I didn't get to the house much and didn't really notice that the flames looked weak and the new fireplace didn't kick off much heat. After more than a year, I called Mountain Home center to inquire if this was normal. I was pleased they stood by their products and sales and sent out a team to investigate and fix it at no charge. They were able to adjust the damper and create. Much larger flame. Looks great now and was happy that they came out for free standing by their service. read more

Very happy with my fireplace gas insert from Mountain Home Center. Price Samuel was very helpful and extremely patient with me regarding many aspects of my purchase, from providing detailed information regarding the materials and how it all works, to providing me several choices as well alternatives to the unit I ended up with, which turned out to be bigger than originally thought, at a cheaper price. Who couldn't be happy about that? Price was communicative with me, always returning my calls quickly, allowing me to stay focused on the install and not felling any anxiety about my purchase. Mountain Home Centers team of Keith, Brittany and James have been outstanding in maintaining and servicing my now 10 year old Hot Springs Hot Tub. Whether it's Keith snow shoeing through several feet of snow to reach the back patio for monthly servicing, or James driving up through a major storm for an emergency repair/replacement of the pump during our historic record December snow month, their attitude, knowledge and service level has always been outstanding. And Britany and Edgar have always been there to deal with my emergencies and questions and put the team in action. November 2017 we purchased our very first hot tub from Mountain Home Center here in Truckee. We did look at other dealers in Reno then went to Mt Home Center and were pleased to see the Hot Springs Sovereign hot tub. As soon as I wet tested it i knew this was the unit for us. The quality,price and service from the staff are all first rate.We have had this unit for over a year and i use it almost daily. I can honestly say that our Hot Springs tub helps me, at 68 years old, to compete in masters ski racing , masters track and field and many of the Reno Tahoe Senior summer and winter Games. My family has been doing business with Mountain Home Center for several years. We have an old Dover gas stove that their service department has kept in perfect operating condition & always responds quickly to any service needs that arrise. Their Service Manager Sam has always been able to get this stove repaired without a long wait. Several time he has been able to talk me through getting it resolved over the phone. We purchased our Hot Spring Spa for our property in Lake Tahoe in 2008. We live across the country & rely on Mountain Home Center's Service to keep our spa hot. We have had few issues but the service man Sam is always fast to respond. He handles our warranty and so far the handful of minor repairs has cost us nothing. While this is our vacation property, Sam also maintains our spa on a monthly basis between our visits. When we arrive our spa is always sparkling clean. Highly recommend you visit their store. We have been long-time (and happy) hot tub service customers. This summer we sold our house, and needed to purchase a new hot tub for our house. This was my first interaction with the hot tub sales team, and they were excellent. Mary helped us identify the right tub for our space, and Sam made a visit to our new property to advise on the right hot tub size and placement. Finally, the installation crew managed to get the tub up a snowy hill and on to our deck - without a crane (which would have added to our costs). Great effort by all involved! read more

I am doing a big remodel at my home in Truckee and Mountain Home Center helped me to coordinate the creation of a beautiful new hearth, a sweep and cleaning, repair and new flu for my wood stove. Over the summer I purchased a gas stove and needed to wait to have it installed until the remodel was complete. As with any work on a house, it was necessary to delay having the stove installed three different times and each time, Scott went out of his way to reschedule the installation date. The stove has now been installed and looks great. The team who removed the old stove and the team who installed the new stove were awesome. Mountain Home Center has a very knowledgeable service and sales staff who go far and beyond most hot tub suppliers and services. I talked to Chris and asked if they could come fix our insert which was only lighting occasionally and had been doing so from about the time we bought it. Chris asked me several specific questions and was able to talk me through a fix right on the phone. Thank you, Tahoe Specialty Stove and Fireplace! I wish we had purchased our equipment from you in the first place.

Most recently, our tub broke down several weeks before renters were to arrive. Josh bent over backwards to support our non-Tahoe tub supplier in its effort to try to locate and fix the problem(s). After it appeared the supplier's multiple trips to try to fix the problems had cured them, the Friday the renters arrived, and at no fault of Josh, the tub stopped working again. Josh worked with me well through the Friday afternoon to try to identify the cause. On Saturday, Josh came running -- on a Saturday no less -- and fixed it. Our renters were ecstatic -- with snow heavily coming down that Saturday afternoon, our renters were thrilled to get in our outdoor hot tub and enjoy the entire snowing and hot-water-jet environment. It became clear through this process that Josh new better about what to do to fix the problems than did the hot tub supplier's service personnel. And his level of service was beyond superior through it all.

The hottub was green and smelled horrible. They came out. He said it had too much bromine. He put in new filters and added neutralizer. She was not able to use it at all. He basically told her "oh well". I have guests visiting from Philadelphia, up for a long weekend. We were counting on using the hottub. It is witch's brew green and the fumes almost killed me. My throat still hurts. I have left it open for hours. The fumes are dangerous. It is extremely disappointing to pay for service and not be able to use the hottub at all. This is not acceptable.

No problem - you would have thought the rooms were empty when they installed. The rooms look great. Then we had our original hardwood floors refinished in the dining room. Gloria mentioned she had a really good guy who could add new flooring in the kitchen and blend/match it with the dining room. As promised, Craig and his crew worked their magic and it looked *so good*, we decided to add the hardwood into the family room and a guest bath too. Highly recommended!! We're very happy with the results.
