Dollar general and Stewart's is about 5 mins away.... Also have nice trails to walk on and a beautiful pond to fish and swim in with a nice little beach area. Will be going back again highly recommend. All staff was very nice and helpful.

Limited availability exists for Phish Phan rates, starting out at $17 per night with additional fees depending on number of guests and site type requested. Reasonable by all means in my opinion. According to the website, it appears that sites with water/electric normally go for $30 a night with deals for weekly and monthly stays. What sets this campground apart from others is the staff and the atmosphere. Everyone greets you with a smile and is genuinely interested in maximizing your stay's enjoyment. An atmosphere of community and neighborliness is almost palpable. Regulars stroll by and inquire about the prior evening's concert. Staff role around on tractors kindly rescuing cars and campers from the mud when several days rain renders them lost. Special weekend activities such as Bingo, Parades, Contests, etc. promote activity between sites. There's nothing like sleeping in after a long concert on these quiet grounds, showering off the stickiness from a night of dancing, grilling up delicious meals, lounging amongst the sights and sounds of upstate NY, taking a dip in the pool to cool off, grabbing a frozen treat from the convenience store, and strolling the shaded paths of these grounds in anticipation of another night's concert and following campfire. Sitting on a swing in the early morning, car packed to the brim with what was left of our camping supplies, I felt reminded of the cherished summers I spent at day camps back home. I look forward to another stay on these grounds in future weekend trips to SPAC.

We paid less for 5 nights than you would pay for two nights at a cheap motel. Tina was very helpful and accommodating. If you want to be on your phone and computer all the time, stay home or go to a hotel. This place is for getting away and enjoying the beautiful trees, mountains, and lakes of the Adirondacks. You most likely will not get cell service there. If you need it, you can get wifi at the rec hall. It is close to Lake George and not far from I 87 to travel to points north like Lake Schroon and Lake Placid. We made some life-long friends during our week at Mt. Kenyon campground. I will definitely be back.

But, this place says when you drive up that They have free wifi but it does not say that the signal ends 5feet from the front entrance. So this place basically had no wifi,the people who own it are very nice and helpful. But they told us as soon as we arrived there is no cell phone reception whatsoever throughout the campground. Yeah I wasn't too happy. The general store was over priced, 2.25 for a lighter I can get one for 1.75 at home. And the showers and bathrooms need a renovation or just a good cleaning. Also don't plan on washing dishes here they yell at you if you do. And They charge u 2$ for each bag to use their dumpster,,,,we laughed and drove to the mobile down the road and tossed it there. The pool looks nice from the outside, but we didn't go in it that much because it wasn't maintained.(For example, it wasn't skimmed and never vacuumed so there were dead and living bugs all over the bottom of the pool and the surface of the water, besides the frog in the pool enjoying the bugs no one used it the whole time we were there) Overall I wouldn't come here again, thought we'd give it a try but gonna stick to going to Lake George Escape Campgrounds from now on.

We did need to move our cars for alternate parking rules Saturday morning but that was no big deal. The room was charming, had ample space to store our belongings and it was clean. The website makes it seems like a tourist guesthouse / corporate apt -- but when I got there it was…read morebasically a weekly room rental with no owner on premises and a sarcastic college student who was supposed to be "running" the place. Problems with this "corporate housing": 1) The "fridge" was sticky with leftover dirt. 2) I cleaned up a bug that looked like a cockroach on the floor of the "kitchen" area. 3) No toilet paper and a used pack of chewing gum on my bed (this will apply to a later complaint.) 4) No one else is EVER home at this house. I tried to bang on a door to the main house a few times, no one ever answered. 5) An apartment owned by same owner next to my room. Tenant stays up until 3:00 AM playing rock music and TV. The door between our rooms provided no sound protection at all. Light shone through into my room. 6) I call to complain about the noise and the college student accused me of lying -- and asked did I think there were "animals running around on the roof" or something? I called the owner and she said "I'm in Florida, what do you want me to do about it." 7) The college student started sending angry texts to my phone. First I get a text in the middle of the night while I am in bed trying to sleep: I have to buy my own toilet paper, I should have known that. 8) Text attack continues. I have checked out and now I'm in an EconoLodge but I am still getting texts from this girl at Saratoga House. She informs me she found used chewing gum stuck down under the sheets of the bed I had slept in. Hmm. Considering I did not chew any gum, that means I slept with a stranger's chewing gum. Lovely. 9) More texts: she is mad because the door knob to the bathroom keeps falling off - and why didn't I fix it? After having foreign used chewing gum in my bed, cleaning up a dead cockroach, using leftover napkins as toilet paper, scrubbing the fridge out with sanitizing soap-- I do apologize for not making repairs to your guesthouse. I thought since I paid I was the guest, but I was obviously wrong. I admit you deserve better. Now please stop texting me.
