If you're traveling with young children, you should know that there is no beach area where they can gradually go into the water. The stairs off the dock are the only way in, but our group of non swimming 3-5 year olds did fine with floaties. The only disappointing thing was that there was no shampoo or soap in the bathrooms. For the price of this home, I feel that this should be included. Also, you should know that there are no spices. If you're planning to cook in, which we did every night, you will need to bring your own spices, olive oil, etc. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, crock pot, coffee maker and plenty of dishes. We had a wonderful week! There were 18 of us ranging from 1 to 88 and there was plenty of room.

Properties are beautiful and well appointed but they are notorious for after charges with claims. My recent stay I was not happy that they don't release the address until check in time especially when traveling 3 hours to get there. Overall, the unit was relatively clean, although I did find hair left in the shower and cobwebs in the bunk area. The hot tub had not been cleaned and, despite being covered, was full of leaves and bugs. The shower water pressure was extremely weak and noticeable cob webs throughout the home. Also, the bunk bed is listed as a king bed, which is inaccurate. Despite these issues, I was happy with my stay and was even considering booking one of their properties again. Several days after my stay I discovered an unexpected $500 charge on my credit card with absolutely no notice or warning. When I checked the app to find out what the charge was for, I found a message from the host simply stating: "stained linens throughout the rental." This accusation was both vague and unreasonable. We barely used the rental and only slept in one of the 3 beds and followed all check out rules to leave the unit spotless. To be charged $500 after the fact, without any prior communication, photos, evidence, or opportunity to discuss the issue, was extremely disappointing and has completely changed my opinion of this property management company. After contacting Vrbo to dispute the charge and multiple attempts to contact the property with no response. northern provided photo proof of alleged soiled linens. 1. A kitchen towel/rag that had signs of food on it (washable), 2. A pillow case with a slight soiled spot (washable) and 3. A towel that had dirt marks on it (washable). All issues were normal use and could be washed and definitely did not result in the need to replace: as requested by northern to the extent of 1. 2 pillow shams (only one was soiled) 2. a new comforter which they had no proof of any damage to 3. New dish towel 4. 6 full sets of towels (only one set was even used - they provided 3 total - 1 set for each bed and the unused ones remained folded in place where they were placed by northern) Potential guests should be aware of the possibility of additional charges, inaccurate bed sizes and most important significant post-stay charges and proceed with caution. Inspect every inch upon arrival and before departure and take photos and videos. Or even better. Don't stay at their properties at all.

Yes the grounds are beautiful and the ceremony in front of the lake was breathtaking but what makes this venue stand out are the wedding coordinators, Mark and Nikky. Extremely responsive and knowledgeable yes, friendly and easy to work with yes - but the dedication they give towards making sure your wedding day is perfect is just amazing. On the day of the wedding, they were everywhere, making sure decorations were perfect, responding to every inquiry and handling every detail with ease and professionalism. Aside from all of this, as if this wasn't enough, they are just so personable. I left feeling like I had just made two friends, they went above and beyond for us and our families and without a doubt enhanced our wedding beyond what we even hoped for. Go here for your wedding, book well in advance because they fill up fast, and you will see what I mean. Disappointing as there was a lot that was great, but it's hard to get past a shower issue on a beach vacation. This place is somewhat of a dump in a great location…read more Check-in was fast. Perfect location right on the end of town so it's convenient to walk, shop, eat. It has direct beach access with kayak rentals for a fee. There aren't many other places to actually access the lake in Lake George. The room was clean, had working A/C and beds were fine. There were some chips and blemishes in the shower. That won't deter the majority of residents that visit this "resort". Many guests here were simply trashy. Creating makeshift clotheslines all over the place, spitting gum on random carpets, claiming beach chairs with inflatables and towels for the entire week, leaving their fishing gear all over the docks...for the week, blocking shared walkway balconies so nobody else could pass, smoking and cursing wherever they please, plainly doing whatever they want. Workers weren't much better. One guy was spray painting a railing mid-day right between the pool and beach, without a care about where the mist travels. This is also where the tables are for eating. If you'd like to stay at a convenient dump with trashy guests, this is the place. Don't forget to stop by their "restaurant". Most pictures online make it look like a glamorous resort, but it's simply a trashy campground. Suggestions for management: Simply clean up the image based on what I described.

After having driven 3 1/2 hours to get to Lake George, we got a call from them saying they didn't have our room. They told us to come to the hotel anyway to see what they and then they talk us into an inferior room. They could easily have told us the day before, but they were hoping to sell out all the rooms. Actually, I'm glad we didn't stay because the property was very shoddy and tacky . Not at all as advertised. You would do better to cross the street and go to the Marriot. Staff was completely unapologetic and unhelpful. Terrible experience.

The owners are very transparent with what their cottages are and explain which cottage would be most suitable. I originally found them through Airbnb, but I highly suggest you go through their website for less fees and better communication. The cottages remind me of camping, but they are renovated so more like glamorous camping or "glamping." We stayed in cottage #7 and the bathroom was beautiful, the minifridge has a freezer for ice, and the bedroom has a large queen sized bed. Temperature was not an issue as the cottage was cool and had lots of windows and a fan. The location is amazing. Just across the street from the lake and close to the ADK brewery and biking trails. You can bike to all of the hottest destinations in under 10 minutes from here. The owners are very friendly and provide dish soap, sponges, plates, silverware, cookware, bed linens, toilet paper, charcoal grills, and fire-pits. The only thing to beware about is the high population of moths surrounding the area because of the tall trees, but we found them throughout Lake George. If you are looking for a cheaper place to stay in Lake George, but are not the full on camping type, I suggest Pine Grove Cottages. We are already planning our next stay here and are excited to check out the other cabins.

Amazing to me I hadn't tried this spot for so long, but no regrets now, what an incredible disappointment. More than anything, I was shocked by the lack of options and lack of creativity in those options. There is a giant lazy river, an upstairs treehouse for younger kids and three slides you see from the northway and you will wait an inordinately long time to go down. That's about it, unless you pay for a special area that, honestly, had like one or two other sad looking wave pools anyway. There is one tiny adult-only hot tub that sad adults can cram in for a few uncomfortable kid-free minutes. The quality is poor -- any adult over five feet accompanying their kid in the wave pool will probably leave with scraped knees from the cheap floor. The water is barely kept warm enough. And don't even ask about the cheap plastic food and the surly, possibly meth-addled service it comes with. All this for an absurdly high price in a crowded venue. Might keep your kid entertained for a bit, but even our son got bored quicker than we expected.
