I clicked on the big blue button takes me to the middle of the next page where it says book now, I clicked book now and the very next page just asks for your payment information, what I did not know was that the website changed the dates to 07/06 instead of check in 07/04 like I entered, I received the confirmation email with the wrong date so I called them immediately and Mary who answered the phone said sorry too bad no refunds on holidays! I tried to explain to her and she wasn't caring one bit about it, gaslighting me to the best of her ability. She then said well I can change the site for it I ended up having to pay more money for an RV site cuz was the only thing available besides a plain site without W&E like I had already paid for. Then I went to look some of the reviews and I saw a picture and the RV site is gravel, she never mentioned that to me I asked her how am I going to put a tent on top of gravel??' Again their response is that that's none of their problem they already took my money if I want to come good if not good, they do not care! I made a complaint with BBB for the way that they have been conducting business and misleading and cheating on people! Save yourself the headache and book your trip else where! * by the way the video was done today about 2 weeks after all this happened. To this day they are still taking bookings for dates that aren't available and switching it over without showing the customers!! Be aware!

A small lake, no large motorized boats are allowed, so it is quiet and peaceful. In fact, the greatest disturbances tend to be other campers who insist on playing their music loudly. Thankfully, there is usually a good amount of space between sites, and most people respect the quiet hours. While this campground is a long way away from where I live, it is definitely worth the drive. If you are interested in fall camping, I can't even being to describe how beautiful it is to wake up in the morning to see the lake surrounded by a riot of colors.

Located close to Indian Lake, the Lewey Lake Campground has multiple entrances off of Route 30N with the main campground the furthest south and what I have labeled on the Yelp map. Keep in mind that the address does not come up properly on Google Maps or Bing maps so look at the Yelp placement for more accuracy. We were at the furthest north campsites which are pretty isolated from everyone else. The sites our group stayed at were situated right next to a stream which was great for sleeping. You couldn't hear anyone around you and even with the goings on at our lower campsite we couldn't hear them at all. There only outhouses at this location of the campground but it is a short drive to the main sites that have real bathrooms and showers along with a nice, simple beach. Despite how close it is to Route 30N, I definitely felt isolated in a good way and would highly recommend staying there for people looking for some interesting camping with reasonably convenient location.

Maple Hill offers an in-expensive and convenient camping experience for those looking to go hiking or sight seeing in the Bristol/Waterbury area. The "downtown" of Bristol is a short drive away if you need to buy supplies or want a nice evening out for dinner and ice cream. They have both wooded and field sites you can get a nice spot right on the river. There is also a bathhouse with running water, showers, and flush toilets. I have never been so pleased with an experience of true human compassion and the people running this campground are what all humans should achieve to be. I know this review may be somewhat cryptic but might I just add: Make sure that you remember that the road for the campground is located across the street from the white house and not to find yourself going down a rocky dirt road in the dark, in a rainstorm, in the fog....Things may not end up well for you haha. Anyways, Martha is the best and thank God for AAA. Check in and registration is at the white house and campsites run about 25/night for non electric sites.

The field sites are huge, and open... they don't offer the privacy but would be a fantastic place camp with a group and stargaze. Maybe the only time I have used a campground bathroom and not had to avoid the hordes of harvestmen/daddylong-legs. And the bathroom lights are solar powered! Super nice owner, low rates, very clean grounds. It's close to some neat swimming holes, hiking and mountain biking trails, as well.

Intimate, yet private tents that are more like cabins (lights, ceiling fans, heaters, and a front porch with rocking chairs) dot the hillside above the rustic central meeting place, which is anchored by a huge fire pit that burns continuously throughout the season. I haven't even gotten to the food! A professional chef, at home creating in any cuisine, sets a bountiful and delicious table. I had never been glamping before. David was an awesome host the entire weekend, a friend and I drove up from NYC and were greeted with awesome local foods (sausages and cheese), produce, and a bottle of wine, we spent the night in a permanent tent structure that was pre-stocked with plenty of firewood (this was back in Oct). The host was an awesome chef, great to chat with, and was totally fine with giving us space when we needed. Additionally we packed a few food packs and went into the Caves of adirondacks. Brenda, who wears many hats, was a pleasure to bump into and does deliveries of firewood and/or yard games. Our dogs loved all the trails and the huge dog park on the property. My boyfriend and I are avid fly fishing enthusiasts, we found great access to the Battenkill on the trails and saw some sites along the water. Additionally this camp ground is a quick 10 minute drive from the Orvis Flagship Store. We met many seasonal campers who only had great things to say about the staff. The property is pretty big but it was nice how there always seemed to be a bathroom a short distance away. Overall, we were just so impressed with not only how beautiful this campground is, but also with the amazing customer service. This is a great place to visit or stay awhile.

It features, wooded, sunny and on the river sites. WES is available at some sites and WE at others (nearest the river) as well as tent sites. All these sites are very roomy/private, with pull-thrus available and back-ins. There are two newly renovated ,immaculate bathrooms. A lovely well-maintained grassy play area and great dog area for play/exercising. The camp office/store has also been all redone and has a great mix of items/supplies. There are washers/dryers on the grounds as well as firewood and ice available to purchase. We are very happy seasonal campers. It is under new ownership and the new manager is just spectacular,Janet will go out of her way to be extra helpful and accommodating and friendly as well as hands on. Our site has S/W/E with cable and wifi, and is nicely shaded-25b. We are here May 1-Oct12, and sad to leave every year and anxious to return every spring! This is truly a lovely and pretty park. The business RARELY returns phone calls requiring numerous (10+ attempts in my case) calls to…read morecontact. When you do speak with a person instead of their answering service, they are friendly enough. The fees are NOT rated based on the size of the rental, so you will pay the exact same amount for their smallest available trailer that you would for their largest trailer. There are ALOT of hidden fees, that regardless of the condition in which you return the trailer, you will be charged and they are not small fees. They require a complete flush of the tank rather than simply emptying. It's next to impossible to find a dumping station at any campground that has the ability to flush so, BAM, there's another whopping fee. They operate this business like the airlines, charging you additional money for required items that allows them to advertise a lower price, which isn't really that low to begin with. I would recommend you only work with this business as a last resort.
