From the moment I was picked up at the airport to arriving at Alpine Recovery Lodge I was made to feel welcome, loved and important. I have seen counselors/therapists for most of my life. Tekulve, Julio and Laura are the best I have ever had. Telkulve and Julio pushed me to make the changes I needed in order to recover. Laura was a strong spiritual support who helped me to understand that my actions were not lining up with my core values. Ian made sure all my legal, personal and other needs were promptly and professionally addressed. At times their feedback and criticism was hard to hear I quickly learned to be more open to their input. As I became more open I noticed real change. I came to understand that work and family problems were not an excuse or the greatest cause of my substance abuse. Rather, it was trauma that led to serious thinking errors on my part. Without coming to understand how those thinking errors and patterns of behavior effected myself and others, I doubt I would be able to achieve long term sobriety. I have been to my share of rehabs but Alpine Recovery Lodge is truly a special place. I was hesitant about what to expect when I arrived on sight. I was nervous about who I was going to meet and how the staff would look at me...while taking a tour I immediately fell in love with this place. What a labor of love went into creating it. From the personal chef making beautiful food to nourish hurting bodies, inspirational wall decals quotes around unexpected corners to the empathetic and helpful staff and therapists I had a wonderful experience. The owners and staff work very hard to help patients and they are always an arms length to make you comfortable. I felt the spirit and a sense of calmness visiting the group therapy room and the interactions I had with other patients made an impactful experience for me. I was a patient at the Alpine Recovery Lodge. While there with the help of counselors, a therapist, a case worker, and other patients I was able to accept my fathers death find peace with my higher power, get rid of internal baggage I was going to take to the grave with me, and take of what seemed to be insurmountable legal and financial issues. They also taught me that I could have fun sober. The whole experience gave me hope for life. All of my medical needs were met. I had two major seizures while there and they took very good care of me until help could arrive. After three months of treatment I had to leave in order to take care of family business. I failed to folio my discharge plans. I relapsed after a month. I could have gone to any treatment center in the country but I chose the Alpine Recovery Lodge for a second time. I came to Alpine after realizing I had a severe drinking problem that was not only affecting me, but the people I love the most. I have had an amazing time here at alpine, the residents were immediately welcoming and didn't have a single judgmental face when I came in. It has impacted my life greatly being here and I wouldn't change a single approach that they took with me. When I first pulled up to Alpine Recovery Lodge I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't sure what I was exactly getting myself into and frankly, I wasn't sure I belonged at such a nice facility. But when I walked in the doors I instantly felt at home. The staff took me in and made me feel like I wasn't alone. I was welcomed by all the residents and gained some amazing relationships while being here. At the same time I did a lot of intense, healing work on myself that has caused a shift in my life. Compared to other places I have been , the staff here is more involved and caring. The staff are very active in your relationships , they are very aware of helping every aspect of your life. The staff calls you out in an effective way to learn and grow from every mistake or wrong doing. They put a huge emphasis on connecting with Staff and other Residents and it has caused a lot of growth and has softened my heart. I have seen amazing progress in the relationships with my family while being here due to family therapy and emphasis on applying growth in other areas to these relationships. I came in here heart broken and feeling completely lost. Right away Ali, the house administrator, held me while I cried when my son left. During my time here my therapist, Darren, helped work through all my past traumas. My counselor, Kaydawn, helped me feel important and move forward in my care. My caseworker, Steve, keep me on track and able to set goals. Randy, our family therapist, saved my marriage. I would recommend this place to anyone! It is more like a family rather than a residential treatment facility. I'm very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and communication with Alpine Recovery Lodge. I was texted from one of their employees (who isn't even on their website) and after a few texts back and forth they stopped replying to my messages and wouldn't answer any of my questions. I then called the lodge directly, no one answered so I left a message where I mentioned the urgency of getting ahold of someone. I never got a call back. Another person in my family called as well hours later and also left a message. Neither of us have received a call or message back days letter. Alpine saved my life. From doing trauma therapy to recognizing my unhealthy relationships, I have grown so much in the last 90 days. The staff has been amazing, pushing the buttons necessary to help me get real and honest about working my program. The phase work and step work done throughout my stay was crucial for growth. After my initial intake I started to settled into the routine of a schedule while coping with constant changes with the house residents.
