I have been looking for a good mechanic for my Audi since I bought it and dealt with so many…read moredifferent companies, spending a lot of extra because of the many ' bandages'. Then, several months ago, I found Rich! Every time he fixes something he actually educates me on what has caused the problem and what needs to be done. He has been in the business for sooooooo long so I said, Rich, you really need to retire! But inside, selfishly, I hope he is not because who will take care of my car? Nicest, nicest, caring, honest, considerate man that does little extras while he is working on your car and tries to be as affordable as possible. I am so happy I found Rich's Auto Repair in Norristown. I can walk there if I have to. God has sent me a new angel! Thank you! God bless you big time!!!!!! Pascale

Rich has been my mechanic for over 10 years and our family mechanic for over 30. He is the…read moredefinition of what a mechanic should be. Many times he's guided me from simple problem fixes to those a lot more serious. He gives 110% to his customers, which in this day and age is a rarity, bordering on nonexistent, as every quick lube shop is out to make a buck regardless of how long their work holds up. Rich backs all his work, is efficient, detail-oriented and precise. Regardless of where I live in the future, I won't be going anywhere else. A great mechanic is like a great barber, you should always take priority as a customer and it should never hurt walking out of the door.

Listen. LISTEN. If you are considering hiring this "mobile mechanic," please pause, take a deep…read morebreath, and maybe lie down, because what I'm about to describe is not for the faint of heart. This man rolled up to my driveway in a van that looked like it had already lost a fight with a tornado, a raccoon, and possibly its own sense of self-worth. He hopped out, spilled an entire soda, and said, "Don't worry, that happens." Sir. SIR. Why is that your greeting?? He opened my hood, nodded like he was understanding the secrets of the universe, then poked a totally random part and said, "Yep, that's your problem." When I asked what the problem was, he said and I quote, "Mechanic stuff." Thirty minutes later my car was making a new sound I can only describe as "haunted dishwasher screaming into the void." I asked him if that was normal and he said, "Cars make noises." Then he charged me an amount of money so offensive I think it might be a hate crime against my bank account. He drove away. My car died. In the same moment. Like they were spiritually connected and my car couldn't continue living after witnessing whatever he did to it. If you hire this man, may the automotive gods have mercy on your soul because he WILL NOT. i would give zero stars but, Yelp refuses to let me express the true depth of my suffering.

Basically we were side swiped. I put out a project on yelp asking for a mechanic. Dave messaged me…read moreand said he would come out that night to take a look. Hours go by and he never showed. Finally that morning he came by. Told us the issues and told us what parts to get. We paid him $250 to buy the parts and $200 in labor. Not only did he get junked parts but none of them were good. I asked him to at least refund us for the money we paid in the parts. So he stopped responding. DO NOT USE THIS MECHANIC. He took our car parts and sold them for cash and our car still isn't running. We've had to have another mechanic take a look and begin to work on the car. This was a very unpleasant experience I wish on no one.

he shop itself is clean, organized, and well-equipped for working on European vehicles. The owner?…read moreNick, is approachable and seems knowledgeable about cars, which was reassuring. The staff here is friendly and professional, and they take their time explaining the work that needs to be done. However, there were a few points in the process where communication could have been clearer. Services Requested & Execution I brought my car in for a few services, including a diagnostic check for the fuel system, an alignment, and a routine oil change. The diagnostic check was handled fairly well, but there was a slight delay in getting the full results. I was informed of the issues, but I had to follow up a couple of times to get a complete breakdown. While everything was eventually explained, a more proactive approach would have been appreciated. For the suspension and alignment, they did a good job addressing my concerns. The car handled noticeably better after the work was completed. They were able to tighten up the steering, but I did feel like the service could have gone a step further in terms of customizing the alignment for my driving style. It felt like a more generic approach. The oil change and fluid check went smoothly, and they did a good job of ensuring everything was topped off and in order. However, I did notice a slight upcharge on the parts they used compared to what I had seen elsewhere. While it wasn't outrageous, it did make me question the overall pricing structure a little. The Road Test: Good, But Not Exceptional After picking up the car, the throttle response was improved, and the suspension felt more stable. The car was handling better overall, and the ride was smoother. But, as with the service itself, the improvements were good but not exceptional. It didn't feel like a massive transformation, but the car was certainly in better shape than when it arrived. Final Verdict: Solid Service with Some Room for Improvement German Auto Specialists offers reliable and quality work on European vehicles, and I can see why they have a strong reputation in the area. Nick and his team are professional and knowledgeable, but there were a few moments that felt a little rushed or lacking in communication. While I appreciate the quality of the work performed, I would have preferred more transparency regarding pricing and the exact details of the services performed. Four stars. A solid choice for BMW owners, but a bit more transparency and customer service would make it a top-tier experience.

They charged me a massive amount for the PCV part itself and listed an oem part number. However, when I took the car to a second shop they noted that German Auto Specialists had used a Uro PCV. Uro is known to be hit and miss and is not OEM quality, and also costs a QUARTER of the price of OEM. Why wouldn't you just use the part you charged me for especially since I was trying to figure out if I needed super expensive engine work like piston rings or valve stems?
