The bottom edge of one backsplash was cut crooked, and the caulking was messy--uneven, poorly applied, and visually distracting. I've already removed and redone the caulk on the makeup counter. I contacted the company about the issue, and they did come out to inspect it. They acknowledged the problem and said they would follow up. That was over two months ago. Since then, I've reached out multiple times--by phone and email--and have received no response. No update, no repair, no accountability. For a project that should have added value and beauty to my home, I'm left with a flawed installation and zero customer service. I expected better craftsmanship and professionalism. At this point, I wouldn't recommend this company to others.

He used phrases like "on the high side" and I can't imagine it being more than that," and made us feel assured that our budgeting was appropriate. Given that, we agreed to a deposit of $250 for him to go ahead with a formal quote, per company policy. When the proposal came back, it was $45K, which is more than double what we had discussed. While I understand that quality work and materials are costly, I don't understand how his verbal estimates were so grossly inaccurate, especially when he said he's been working there for 18 years. While I understand the deposit was intended to cover his time in gathering the estimates, and that he "doesn't work for free," a large part of his job is properly estimating potential costs for potential clients, and he did not do that. We agreed to the $250 deposit based on incredibly inaccurate numbers, and when I requested our deposit back, we were denied (twice.) While I don't think it was his intention to be deceptive, we felt swindled out of $250. I was very disappointed that they weren't willing to refund us.

I had a quote in a few days, not weeks and they scheduled the project as soon as the materials came in, because we had an area on the side of the roof where rain, bees, etc. could enter in, so we were given top priority. Not only did the metal roof and old shingles need to be replaced, (which both structures now have metal roofs) the overhang and rafters of the roof needed to be repaired too. Phil went out of his way to resolve this problem, which saved us the stress of either doing it ourselves or finding another lot. He gave us some great ideas that saved us money without sacrificing quality. The workmanship of Phil and subcontractors were super. They were easy to communicate with and very courteous.
