    Coconut cream pie!

We were on a drive up in this area and i found Al's on Google. It was a Saturday for lunch and they were slow. The food was AMAZING and all home cooked! I had the porkchop, hubby had 1/2 bird fried chicken. I also had coconut cream pie. Al's is like the diners of the past- simple place, basic menu of perfected items, great service. We loved it! Important- it is cash only unless you are local.

Breakfast omelette with German potatoes! Awesome food and the location and indoors is very unique. Clean and inviting like an old fashioned restaurant from the past. The ladies running this place are so sweet and cook like your Momma! Wow the pies!! Get in my belly!!

This quaint restaurant has been established for 73 years in the small town of Perryville, Missouri. We were flying through and needed to make a pit spot and Al's Place was only 5 mins away. We're so glad we found this place. It had a hometown feel and delicious homemade food! You can't beat that!

Excellent home cooking. Food is delicious. Only took off a star because service at time can be sketchy. They have daily specials to pick from along with the menu. Make sure to save room for dessert. They are well worth the diet splurge

I am having livers and gizzards for lunch as well as a stuffed tomato (fresh picked from the garden in back) in a town that only has a factory and this restaurant. Tomorrow the special is fried rabbit. I came over to talk to the owner about putting solar and she had just finished picking a hundred and fifty pounds of tomatoes from the garden in back!!

Staff was super friendly, and more than happy to answer any questions. I ordered the western omelet, and it was rather bland and dry.

The inside is not impressive. Looks like a kid's play room with toys all over. No inside dining available. What comes out of Barb's Bounty is much more impressive! I had the daily special--a ham and Turkey club. Imagine three pieces of toasted sourdough (I'm guessing)--one side is a BLT and the other ham, cheese and Turkey. Best bacon ever! My side was the fruit salad. It was a nice combination of fresh and canned fruits. The rest of our party had the same daily special, but with battered fries (waffle fries were also an option). Our son had a burger (rated a 4) and potato salad (rated a 5). Each day features a couple of daily lunch specials and a dinner special, in addition to a variety of soups, salads, wraps, burgers, and sandwiches. For a small place, it offers a great variety. It is NOT fast food. Be patient as it's worth the wait. Barb is offering specials and open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. When asked about being open, Barb said due to Covid she knew many of her older customers would not be at family gatherings. She certainly appears to care about her community. Also available are fruit jellies and jams, salsa and relishes. And a limited selection of baked goods.

We had the Hawaiian chicken Sandwich with a Mango Habanero sauce, pineapple & pepper jack cheese--phenomenal! The Crawfish etouffee served on a baked potato was a hearty serving with nice kick & plenty of crawfish meat! The bowl was empty yet our stomach fully satisfied! The Supreme Club was stacked with generous portions of Ham , Turkey and Bacon - a wonderfully reliable go to meal. The Chicken Wrap served with hand carved chicken breast filled with fresh tomatoes & lettuce and house made Buttermilk Ranch dressing for dipping. No fatty pieces and generous portions of chicken! The owners were friendly & attentive with a genuine interest in what we were craving and how they could accommodate our lunch time appetite! Definitely worth a try; saw many patrons enjoying the Lunch Buffet. That may be next on our list to try! Best of luck to the owners for much success!
